Chapter 468: You intrigue me, Sister
"It's time to leave," Idan told Irene and Arslan. "We have achieved everything we wanted."
"Irene, Arslan, — Arabel intervened. "We understand that you have a lot of questions, but we will explain everything to you later. We will have plenty of time for discussions in the near future."
"Belle is right, — Idan agreed. "We have urgent matters to attend to first."
"Don't worry, we won't disappear this time," Arabel added, remembering how the last time they said such words to Arslan, they moved to another world.
Irene and Arslan had no choice but to agree.
Idan and Arabel, wearing ghost masks, took on the appearance of Elsa and Ignis.
Arabel, having enveloped everyone with her "Concealment" ability, turned into a Dark Valkyrie. Taking everyone with her Soul Force, she soared up and rushed to the barrier, intending to leave it.
She didn't go back the way they came from, but in a completely different direction, away from this place.
As expected, there was already a commotion outside the barrier. Many military and awakened ones were attracted to this place; they surrounded the barrier and closely watched everything that was happening behind it.
When the four left the barrier, there were subtle ripples that an ordinary military man might not have noticed. However, the awakened one of the golden rank paid attentions to this. Before he could get any closer, Idan, Arabel, Irene, and Arslan had already disappeared.
They quickly reached the place from where they left, without catching the eyes of the military and awakened ones. However, there was an even bigger crowd waiting for them, and their SUV was almost surrounded by new cars of newly arrived people.
After spending a lot of time, they were finally able to leave this place.
"Do you think we might be suspected of this?" asked Arslan, leading everyone away from the Stone family's territory.
"Probably, yes,— Idan replied. "If they investigate this matter thoroughly, they will find out that the four of us were near the barrier. However, don't worry too much, they don't have any evidence that we were the ones who got inside the barrier."
"I've noticed that all of you, that is, the awakened ones, drive SUVs," Arabel shared her observation.
"For convenience," Irene replied. "We awakened ones often go outside of cities, but there are almost no normal roads left, and ordinary city cars will not pass there. That's why almost everyone chooses SUVs."
"Ah, that's it," Arabel finally realized.
Most awakened ones, unlike them, couldn't fly. Only those with rare Systems with unique abilities could fly, and even then, not all of them.
For example, Hailey had a Dragon System, but she hasn't fully transformed into a dragon yet and she still doesn't have the flight ability.
Thus, the awakened ones still had to use various means of transportation.
But all this will undoubtedly change in the future.
They didn't have a lively conversation on the way back to the city. Most of them were lost in thought. Idan and Arabel did not touch on serious topics, believing that it was not the right time to discuss them during the trip, and decided to postpone these conversations for later.
"Sister, where can I get an SUV?" asked Idan, driving up to the hotel. "We could use our own."
"I just remembered that thanks to your question, «Regulus» introduced its new SUV the other day," Irene said, attracting everyone's attention. "The special thing about this SUV is that several awakened ones took part in its development at once, and it was created specifically for the awakened ones."
Irene's words brought back to Idan the classification of Systems by degree of Rarity.
The most common of these are Ordinary Systems. They help their Hosts cultivate only along the Path of Mastery and can raise them to level 30.
This is followed by Rare Systems. Unlike ordinary ones, they are able to cultivate their Hosts not only along the Path of Mastery, but also along the Paths of Magic and Bloodline. Their maximum level is limited to 60.
But the most important difference between these Systems and the usual ones is the presence of a name. The name that defines the direction of the System's development.
Idan also recalled the Supreme Systems they had already encountered. Among them were the Chef System, the Alchemist System, the Blacksmith System, the Tailor System, and the Merchant System. These Systems specialize not only in battles, but also in ordinary peaceful professions.
This reminded Idan that there are awakened ones who possess systems related to a wide variety of professions. Such people can make a significant contribution to the development of humanity, and not only protect it on the battlefield.
Idan did not underestimate the abilities of such awakened ones, realizing that even they might have their own unique fighting techniques. He remembered a lot of movies and novels where the characters possessed seemingly simple power, but used it skillfully and inventively, fighting enemies.
"It would be great to find an awakened one with an Alchemy System to shift the creation of Soul Crystals to him," Idan thought, making notes to keep an eye on the awakened ones with Systems related to the life profession.
"You intrigue me, Sister, — Idan said. "I wanted to see what they had created."
"Don't forget me, if you're going there, I'll keep you company," Arslan suggested, also keen on the idea.
"Okay, — Idan replied.
Irene and Arabel exchanged glances, surprise and joy evident on their faces.
Irene was happy to see how her brother finally started communicating with other people and stopped being so withdrawn.
At the same time, Arabel was happy to realize that Idan and Arslan had found a common language and they had a good relationship.
When they arrived at the hotel, the sun had already disappeared below the horizon.
Arslan and Irene drove the couple to the hotel and went home to Irene.
"Arslan isn't worried about the Morgan family anymore?" asked Idan, watching the SUV drive away.
"I don't know. I haven't asked him about family yet, and he hasn't talked about them," Arabel shrugged. "But maybe you're right."
"Is that a problem for you?" asked Arabel, hesitating a little.
"Your family?" asked Idan.
Arabel nodded.
"No, — Idan shook his head.
"Let's let these two decide for themselves what to do next. We'll only step in if things go too far and they can't figure it out on their own," Idan suggested. "And we'll think about ourselves."
"All right," Arabel agreed.
After standing for a while, they returned to their room on the top floor.
While they were away, they found out that some famous families were looking for them. However, Idan and Arabel were not ready to make contact with them at the moment.
Their first priority was to decide who to invite to their Guild. Moreover, they wanted to wait until tomorrow evening to see the results of combining their territory with the spatial storage core.
