Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 460: The end of one, the beginning of the other.

Although it was just a guess, it seemed to Idan and Arabel to be a more convincing explanation of why the Association agreed to cooperate with outsiders.

Having no evidence, they decided to leave this idea as a hypothesis that does not claim to be the absolute truth.

"I'm sure that if that were the case, the Association would not refuse to cooperate with them," Idan agreed with Rachel and the others.

"This concerns the interests of the Association, but what does the other side get out of it?" asked Idan, wanting to know the opinion of the Heroes.

"Unfortunately, we haven't figured it out yet," Rachel admitted honestly, and the others agreed with her.

"Hmm..." — Idan, rubbing his chin, was lost in thought, trying to imagine himself in the place of outsiders and understand what they want from their world.

Dark creatures are essentially conquerors. They need other worlds and their inhabitants as resources—food, materials, and even opportunities for procreation.

"But what do the Beings of Light need?" Idan wondered, trying to remember everything he had learned about them.

"Mind manipulation?" A thought flashed through his mind as he recalled Esma and Rachel's story about the actions of a Diamond-ranked Being of Light. She used her power to attract the awakened ones to her side.

Suddenly, the hotel's internal phone rang, interrupting Idan's thoughts.

He looked at his watch and saw that there wasn't much time left until one o'clock.

"Hailey, please answer the phone," Idan asked, and Hailey nodded and went to answer the phone.

"It looks like we won't have enough time to discuss the third issue of cooperation," he said regretfully. "I propose to hold another meeting and return to this topic. What do you think about this?"

Rachel and the others exchanged glances and, without thinking twice, agreed.

"Okay, then let's do that. We will inform you about the place and time of the meeting later," Idan added.

"And now we have an appointment with representatives of the Association and, hopefully, with representatives of outsiders," Idan shared his plans, surprising everyone. "Do any of you want to join?"

"I'll go," Irene was the first to express her desire to join.

"Me too," Arslan said.

The others exchanged glances and said in unison:

"So are we."

"Good, good," Idan smiled, pleased with their agreement.

"Mr. Ignis, — Hailey came over after answering the phone. "The hotel administration has informed us that the place for negotiations is ready, as you requested."

"Thank you, Hailey, — Idan said.

"Let's go downstairs, then?" he suggested, getting up from the couch.

At that moment, Idan was wearing black shoes, trousers and a white shirt. Arabel, on the other hand, wore black boots, tight trousers, and a tight black shirt that accentuated her attractive figure.

The couple decided to negotiate with the Association and, possibly, with an outsider representative not in their room. They asked the hotel administration to prepare a special place for them, paying an additional fee.

"Hailey, bring Aliya, — Idan asked and started packing. He immediately wore a dark vest, and then a dark trench coat with the coat of arms of their guild. Arabel also materialized a corset-like vest and a dark trench coat.

The sudden appearance of a piece of clothing attracted the attention of all the Heroes, and they were extremely surprised. They soon received confirmation from their Systems that what the couple was wearing was not ordinary clothes, but an artifact.

"An artifact?" their Systems' response startled everyone.

The eyes of those present lit up with curiosity, especially those of Irene and Arslan. If there were no others here, they would immediately pounce on the couple to find out where they got such an artifact and if it was possible to get it for them.

The attention of everyone present, attracted by the couple's attire, shifted to Aliya, whom Hailey had brought with her. Under the scrutinizing gaze of so many people, Aliya felt awkward and very small, although she surpassed everyone in terms of development. And it was all because of the damn collar that was hanging around her neck.

"Who is she?" asked Hazel, looking at Alia with interest.

"A being of Light," came Idan's direct reply, which immediately alerted everyone present.

"She helped us organize the upcoming meeting," he added, seeing their reaction.

"Okay, let's go," Idan called out to everyone, stepping forward with Arabel, who was walking next to him. They were followed by Hayley, and then Aliyah. The others joined them only after that.

"I don't recognize my brother," Irene confessed through the Soul Force to Arslan. "He's behaving completely differently."

"Are you sure?" asked Arslan.

"Yes, I'm sure," she confirmed. Then she quickly added: "I don't mean that it's not my brother, but I'm just praising his disguise and acting skills. If I hadn't known from the very beginning that it was Idan, I wouldn't even have suspected that it was him."

"He is usually quiet, uncommunicative and not very confident, but initially he was not deprived of intelligence, which he did not try to use in any way," Irene continued.

"I can say that he looks completely different now. Is he so confident, sociable and attractive in this image?" said Irene, a little unsure of her words.

"Ha ha ha, — Arslan laughed. "You're right. I don't recognize my sister either."

"She was always the leader of the two of us, and I just followed her and supported her. And now I notice that she has taken on my role and is now following your brother," Arslan shared his observations. "I don't know, is it just a disguise or has she really become addicted to your brother?"

"Haven't you changed too?" asked Irene. "After your sister disappeared, it seems to me that you finally freed yourself from her influence and became independent."

These words made Arslan think. Remembering what he had to go through during his sister's absence, he realized that Irene was right.

They've all changed.

Arslan was sure that Irene had changed too. She couldn't stand his presence before, but now her behavior around him has become more natural.

The conference room provided by the hotel administration for the meeting of Idan's group with representatives of the Association was located on the ground floor.

When Idan and Arabel, along with the others, entered the hall, a group of the Association was already waiting for them, who nevertheless decided to show up for this meeting.

However, as soon as they crossed the threshold, the power of Light fell on them, enveloping everyone in its warmth and comfort. Fatigue and gloomy thoughts instantly disappeared.

For a moment, almost everyone forgot why they had come.

"Turn down your brightness, firefly, you are not at home!" — threatening words sounded, the walls of the hotel trembled, all the lights went out, and the conference hall was instantly plunged into darkness.

Under the onslaught of the power of darkness, the light gave up and disappeared.
