Chapter 447: I'll take care of her
Idan and Hailey walked in front, while Arabel and Aliya followed them at a short distance.
"Mr. Ignis, isn't that right? The Duke of Light?" Arslan said with a smile, greeting Idan. He did not try to hide his joy at the meeting. Knowing that his future brother-in-law and his sister do not want to reveal their true identities and use fake ones, Arslan decided to play along with them.
Due to his high rank, he could clearly hear the conversation, which allowed him to easily support their game. Especially since, as he noticed, there was a stranger with them.
The guys shook hands, not hiding their smiles.
"Miss Hailey, it's good to see you again," Arslan greeted Hailey, and she nodded in response. Then she quickly glanced first at Idan and then at Arslan. Their smiles betrayed Arslan, and Hailey realized that he knew who they were.
When Arabel and Alia got closer, Arslan also greeted them.
"Miss Elsa."
"Arslan Morgan. The leader of the Defenders Guild," Arabel said with a touch of sarcasm. "I hope you won't disappoint us like the Red Fox Guild Leader did."
"Ha ha ha. Don't worry Miss, I won't disappoint you," Arslan replied with a smile. Then his gaze fell on Alia.
"And who is it?" "What is it?" he asked.
"Not here, — Idan said shortly.
"Good, — Arslan replied with understanding, immediately catching the hint.
"Bera, — Arabel said to the black cat, who was staring at her. At this time, the others began to take seats in the SUV.
"Come here," Arabel said, holding out her arms. Seeing this gesture, Bera jumped right into her arms.
"Did you miss me?" Arabel asked, and Bera meowed and pressed herself against her chest.
Taking the cat in her arms, Arabel, stroking her, sat in the back seats with Aliya and Hailey, seating Aliya in the middle. Idan took the front seat next to the driver's seat.
"Where are we going?" asked Arslan.
"As a local, you should know the capital better than we do," Idan replied. "Take us to a nice hotel at your discretion."
"Okay, — Arslan nodded, starting the SUV and pulling away.
As they drove away, reporters, representatives of the association, including Jonathan, and members of the Red Fox Guild watched them anxiously. Felicia, no matter how hard she tried, couldn't get rid of the feeling of fear and no longer paid attention to Idan and the others.
"Wasn't that Arslan Morgan?" someone in the crowd asked.
"Yes, indeed, that's him," another confirmed.
At that moment, everyone realized that these two, who introduced themselves as members of an unregistered Guild called Kingdom, were related to the leader of the Defenders Guild.
And, of course, reporters began to speculate about their relationship.
"How is my sister?" — Idan asked Arslan, speaking to him through a mental link as they drove away from the airport.
"You made her worry, just like my sister made me worry," Arslan replied with slight annoyance. "But we're glad you're okay."
"So after you left, leaving me with the Red Fox Guild members at the portal, you went to another world yourself?" Arslan asked Idan.
"Yes," Idan replied shortly.
Arslan tightened his grip on the steering wheel. He was very unhappy with the rash act of his older sister and Idan. Even at the portal, it became clear how dangerous the other world was when a Diamond-ranked creature came out.
Arslan was very worried about his older sister, especially after she finally appeared after disappearing for more than a year and a half. The news that she had disappeared again, this time in a hostile world, shocked him greatly.
Then, remembering that they were no longer children and were over eighteen years old, Arslan sighed.
"You know, Idan, I don't like what you two have done," Arslan said bluntly. "But I also understand that I can't stop you two, because this is your life and your own choice."
"But I ask you to be more careful in the future and take care of my sister," Arslan asked.
"It goes without saying," Idan said. "Don't worry about your sister, Arslan. I'll take care of her."
Arslan finally relaxed a little after hearing Idan's confident and firm words.
"You know, Arslan, Belle and I are a little tired after all these events," Idan confessed. "We would like to rest at least until the beginning of the third disaster. But at the same time, we have so many tasks to solve that I'm afraid we won't have time to rest."
Arslan could not answer anything, because he had been so busy for the past year that he could not devote enough time to Irene and his newborn son.
When Arslan was captured by outsiders, he acutely realized how little time he devoted to himself and his desires, trying to please everyone. He had to meet the requirements of the Morgan family, fulfill the duties of a guild leader, and be a Hero of the Federation.
He shared Idan's desire and also wanted to relax and be with Irene and his son, but current events in the world and their rapid changes did not give him a moment's peace.
Glancing in the rearview mirror, Arslan saw that all three girls were sitting in silence.
His sister, Arabel, smiled and gently stroked Bera, who had taken the form of a cat. Aliya, letting go of her gaze, sat silently in the middle. Hailey, on the other hand, was watching Arabel and Bera with a strange smile.
Idan and Arslan spent the rest of the journey chatting casually. Idan surprised Arslan by telling him who Aliya was.
Idan himself was amazed when he found out about the unusual event that took place on the territory of the Stone family after their disappearance. A crazy idea popped into his head, but he quickly suppressed it, deciding to test it as soon as he solved the problem they were bringing with them in the person of Aliya.
Arslan took them to one of the popular hotels in the city center, which was called the Royal Grand Hall. He chose the perfect location, located close to Irene's house and other important facilities such as the Association, the main offices of the Defenders Guild and the Queens Guild.
Once again, they rented a luxurious room with several separate rooms, a kitchen, a living room and a mini-bar. The whole company, including Arslan, went upstairs.
Idan asked Arslan if he would stay the night, because there were enough rooms in the room for everyone.
"I'm not staying," Arslan shook his head, and then added with a smile, "I need to get back to your sister and my son."
"Okay," Idan nodded.
"Tell my sister to arrive before lunch tomorrow, along with the rest of the guild leaders who were there that day. We have a lot to discuss, and most likely we will have guests," Idan said, looking at Aliya.
"Okay," Arslan replied, understanding what Idan meant. After saying goodbye and taking Bera with him, Arslan left them.
