Chapter 383: Going beyond own expectations
"It's strange, why are they leading the Awakened on foot instead of using teleportation arrays or flying?" thought Arabel, not quite understanding the actions of these creatures.
In the form of Milla, she appeared just ahead of the column of dark creatures that led the Awakened towards the center of the valley.
[Host. In this place, the space is not stable. According to the assumptions of this System, the instability of space is associated with the opening of the portal. Under such conditions, using teleportation arrays can be dangerous] — the System suddenly intervened, deciding to dispel Arabel's doubts, although she did not address her.
"What?" asked Arabel. "Then isn't it dangerous for us to use the 'swap' ability in this place?"
[There's no need to worry about that. Such instability does not pose a danger to the swap ability,] the System added after hearing Arabel's concern.
"Phew," — Arabel breathed with relief.
Standing in their way, Arabel was finally able to accurately determine the number of awakened ones.
There were twenty-three of them in total: eighteen boys and five girls. Arabel noticed a familiar slave collar around the necks of each of them.
But even with these collars, the young men's eyes were empty, and they moved forward like puppets without any resistance, while the girls' gazes were full of fatigue and lost hope.
Arabel was relieved to discover that all ten representatives of the Womskinner race were platinum-ranked.
They were dressed in dark robes that did not seem as provocative and revealing as those Arabel had met before. There were dense dark inscriptions on some parts of their bodies.
When Arabel noticed their long black hair, she immediately realized that she had to be more careful with it. After all, the length of the hair indicated a higher position in the hierarchy of the Womskinner race.
"It's a pity that I can't use "exchange of stats" and "ghost stats" at the same time," Arabel sighed, realizing that she couldn't use these two unique abilities at the same time.
If it wasn't for this restriction, Arabel was confident that she would even be able to challenge Erza, a Diamond-ranked being.
Knowing this, she now had to make a difficult choice: which one to use against ten Platinum-ranked creatures.
Having made her decision, Arabel, no longer hiding, began to quietly wait for the column to approach.
Soon, the women noticed a lone figure standing in the middle of the dark forest right in their path.
The column stopped and, without approaching, began to assess the situation.
Even they, the creatures of darkness, were on their guard when they noticed a lone figure in the middle of this dark valley.
They began to scan the surroundings for a possible ambush or trap, but no matter how much they searched, they found nothing.
"She's only Rank 3," one of the ten women snorted after studying Arabel closely.
The others noticed it too, and their anxiety eased, and disdain appeared on their faces.
Not only was Arabel's rank lower than theirs, but Milla's appearance also had short black hair, which showed that she was only someone's maid.
Noticing that the women looked at her with disdain and slightly relaxed their vigilance, Arabel, without hesitation, rushed forward, right at them.
The women, seeing Arabel's actions, only grinned. For them, a Rank 4 (Platinum) creature, a Rank 3 (Golden) creature posed no threat.
One of the women came forward to meet and deal with this maid.
These women did not realize that they had made the biggest mistake of their lives with their neglect.
After covering most of the distance and almost reaching them, Arabel suddenly exploded with unexpected force, surprising all the women.
For the first time since gaining her second bloodline, the Dark Phoenix bloodline, Arabel activated the transformation. Her short black hair instantly lengthened, and her small figure grew noticeably, especially in the chest and hips, right in front of the women.
Arabel remained in human form after the transformation, unwilling to take on the true form of her Phoenix bloodline. She clearly felt a surge of strength and realized that her stats had already reached the platinum rank. But Arabel didn't stop there. She immediately increased her stats, adding half of Idan's stats to them.
However, Arabel wasn't going to stop there either.
Due to the phenomenon caused during the acquisition of her Spirit Form, Arabel, unlike Idan, was able to harness the Energy of Madness. And now she decided to take full advantage of this power, unleashing it to its full potential.
Her long black hair was completely dyed in the color of the Energy of madness, and her black eyes shone brightly with a purple-pink light.
As a result, Arabel's stats skyrocketed from a simple Golden rank to a more advanced Diamond rank in a split second.
Out of curiosity, she looked at her stats and almost tripped over.
Main Stats:
_Level – 30 - > (Bloodline Stats) + (exchange of stats (Idan 50%)) + (enhanced by the energy of madness 20%) = > (Total)
_Strength – 311 - > (411) + (145) + (111) = > 667
_Stamina – 287 - > (379) + (146) + (105) = > 630
_Dexterity – 323 - > (433) + (147) + (116) = > 696
_Intelligence – 284 - > (387) + (168) + (111) = > 666
_Mana –345 - > (439) + (210) + (130) = > 779
_Average – 310 - > (410) + (163) +(115) = > 688
Extra Stats:
_Madness Energy – 599 / 613
The combination of bloodline transformation, half of Idan's stats, and the enhancement of Madness Energy doubled Arabel's stats on average. It was as if Arabel had used the Ghost Stats skill for all of her stats, not just one sample one.
At the same time, feeling an incredible surge of strength, Arabel realized that this condition was weighing heavily on her body and she would not be able to maintain it for long.
Drawing her Blue Veil sword, she filled it with three types of energy at once: aura, the element of darkness, and the energy of madness. As she ran, Arabel brought her blade down hard and severed the head of a woman who had stepped forward to meet her.
Surprised by the sudden burst of power, the woman lost sight of Arabel. The last thing she saw was her own headless body and a purple-pink trail, followed by four more heads soaring into the air.
