Chapter 30: Father, I miss you
The tiny inhabitants of the insignificant land of Leona named him for the golden light of the sun he had gifted them, and the Aspects commanded them to bring forth a suitable offering in return. The mortals climbed to the peak of their tallest mountain and presented him with a splendorous crown, crafted with careful and cunning magic and etched with the inscrutable patterns of the celestial realm.
Mount Leona is the mightiest peak in the great Leona realm, a towering mountain of sun-baked rock amid a range of summits unmatched in scale anywhere else in the world. Located far from civilization, Mount Leona is utterly remote and all but impossible to reach, save by the most determined seeker.
From the moment it touched Aurelian's brow, he knew this was no gift at all.
The accursed thing clamped in place with unimaginable force, enough that even he could not remove it, and he could feel his knowledge of the sun and its creation being stolen and scrutinized by bits of intelligence vastly inferior to his own. Worse still, the power of the crown hurled him back into the heavens and prevented him from getting any closer to that world again.
Instead, he was forced to watch as the duplicitous Aspects of Leona set the mortals to work in the construction of a great, gleaming disc. With this, they channeled his celestial power to raise up immortal god, for some unknown conflict that was apparently still to come.
Outraged, Aurelian could see other stars fading across the firmament for lack of care and maintenance, and he strained to break free of the crown's control. It was he who had birthed their light into the universe! Why must he be shackled, now, by the Aspects and their lowly pawns? He roared with glee when the Sun Disc failed… only to see a second, more powerful one take its place. Eventually, resigned to his fate, he saw the god-warriors cast down their rivals, then chittering creatures of pure darkness, and finally each other.
Again, each passing million century, the new Emperors of the great Leona world would steal his chaos and creation power. After hundreds of millions of centuries, Aurelian watches his blue star body fading with time, and black aroma encircles him. In his suffering, he calls his followers and devotees with the String on his tail, but an unknown force blocked his every transmission.
Aurelian cried," I've been stabbed in the back by those whom I feed. I've been lied to by those I love. And I have felt alone when I couldn't afford to be. Father, where are you? I miss you. Why did you abandon me? I searched for you everywhere, every realm, just to ask for your forgiveness of my unknown mistake."
Kritos watched all the Aurelian agonies, Unbeknown him; a tear dropped from Kritos eyes. If he had power, Kritos wanted to destroy this ungrateful civilization. He extended his hand towards the Aurelian, unexpectedly this time, he had full control of his body. Kritos touches and cares, Aurelia crying blue head.
"Father, I miss you." It was the last sentence of Aurelian before his endless slumber.
Millions of years later...
Aurelian opened his blurry eyes. Currently, the Great Leona realm was in chaos. Destruction and death were everywhere.
The world was ravaged by a succession of sorcerous catastrophes, and Aurelian finally knew that Leona and the hated Aspects were all but defenseless. As he cautiously circled back, he realized the magic that bound him was weakening. Flecks of gold began to fall from his crown, each one blazing across the skies like a comet.
Driven by the tantalizing possibilities of freedom and revenge, Aurelian now regards the Great Leona realm with simmering, eternal fury. Surely, it is here, upon this world, that the cosmic balance will tip in his favor once more—and with it, the universe itself shall bear witness to the fate of those who dare steal the power of a star forger.
He regained his freedom and a little bit of his power. Without caring for himself, he dives into the flames of the first Universe war. He flickered a cosmos blast from his mouth.
Arg!!Arg!!
Suddenly, Kritos body starts twitching, and a sudden pain comes into head. The scene around him begins to disintegrate, one by one.
Aah!!Aah!!
Kritos got up from bed due to the sudden pain; he rubbed his eyes and looked around his room. "So, It was a dream...but still, I remembered all the events."
Kritos stepped out from his bed and strolled to his window. He sat on the chair, which was beside the window. Kritos glanced at the rising sun. The fresh morning rays fall on Kritos face.
"I think it was not just a dream; he is somewhere in the universe, fighting or creating a newborn star." Kritos thought
Kritos raised his hand and tried to feel the upcoming rays in his hand. "Maybe this sun was also your creation, Aurelian."
Kritos don't want to accept that Aurelian was just a dream; after all, he watched him from his birth. Maybe no one knows Aurelia better than him.
Kritos even know that despite his long age, Aurelia has the heart of a child.
For an hour, Kritos tried to recall all the scenes in his dream. And after that, he thought about his choice.
After some thoughts, Kritos decided to create his own soul beast even though it takes much more time than choosing one of the soul beasts.
He decided to make a plan for his soul beast creation after breakfast.
He stood up from the chair and made his way towards the washroom while thinking about the life of poor Aurelian.
