Paul was a young man 23 years of age in Stanford law school third year cause of the lockdown he saw himself where he never thought he would need to be for a long while his parents' home "Paul go and take out the trash" "yes mom he replied "don't forget to wear your mask " yelled his mom again "yes mom" said Paul clearly having resigned to his faith

Paul was a kind young man and knew how fortunate he was to have said parents his mom being a former b list actress who had a small level of fame and his dad being an agent of a pretty high-class agent of an upper-class agency who deals in actors' actresses and even x rated stars

Paul grew up with great family values induced inside of him so while he was annoyed by his parents, he still very much loved them no matter how many times he had stabbed them in his mind

Paul threw the trash out went inside and opened his phone he messaged Victoria another law student of Stanford who he has gotten to know more better since the lockdown

'Hi Vic ' almost instantly he received her message back ('is for Paul' "is for Victoria")

Paul was on his bed giggling typing on his phone when he heard his mom shout "Paul come down for breakfast "the smile on his face quickly died "I'm coming mom" he shouted back he took his phone and texted Victoria 'later Vic my moms calling me time for breakfast I guess'

Victoria in her home in soho New York saw Paul's text and the smile on her face faded a little 'guess he has to go' she thought 'okay dear later then' she replied as she wanted to go watch the movie she was watching before Paul texted her, she heard her mom scream " nooo Henry leave that "

Before she could go out and check what it was, she heard a breaking sound and saw her mom's fine China "I'm cat noir," shouted her brother

There he goes again thought Victoria as she saw her mom chasing her little brother

Paul was having breakfast with his parents it was a little awkward cause his parents have been having issues recently having to do with one of his clients calling way more frequently that she should considering the nature of her work his mom wasn't happy

And his father being the man that he was didn't see anything wrong in it

"Paul how's the study you said you wanted to do" said his dad oblivious to the look his wife was giving him wearing his big t shirt which barely fitted him and just his boxers his dad was an acquired taste save to say, and lockdown was not kind on his physique luckily, he had money

"Yes dad I'm almost done " said Paul his mom just minding her own food not replying anyone "well how about I play a song Victoria just gave me a recommendation" at the mention of Victoria his mom perked up " ooo Victoria did that's lovely how's the young lady" asked his mom a red haired cute, faced lady who made it in Hollywood with just her face and her average acting skills at best

' Thank God I got moms look' thought Paul "she is fine mom" " good " replied his mom "Alexa play shape of you from YouTube" said Paul in their fully automated home

'Playing shape of you by Ethan jones on YouTube' 'Ethan jones' Paul thought but didn't put much thought in it then the song started

While the song was going on his mom was happily listening to it they didn't even know when it finished "what a talented singer" his dad bellowed "play it again" he said "wait you said it was YouTube right was it a video if so let's watch" " that songs going to be hit it's catchy and pleasant " his dad said

"Alexa play it on the dining room tv " "playing shape of you by Ethan jones on the dining room tv" the tv which his dad kept so he could watch his sports and eat finally came in useful for the family today

The tv was installed cause his mom didn't like it when people ate outside the dining room and dad instead of fighting knowing he would lose just installed a tv in the dinning room

After which the video played Paul's mom Stephinie exclaimed " what isn't that the jones boy" " it can't be" "it is I can't forget such a pretty boy" his mom said much to Paul and his dads annoyance

Paul then took a good look at the young man on the tv and realized it was him his friend his junior from high school Ethan he was blown away

As the song played finish Paul's dad bill said " I heard he didn't go to college guess he planned on being a singer did you know about this Paul?" His dad asked "no dad last I heard he was working for his dad at his firm" Paul said

"Do you know if he has an agent" his dad asked " I don't and even if he doesn't you guys don't do singers do you" Paul said back to his dad " the agency is planning on branching out to singers and the rest this could be what we need this could be a game changer" bill said

"Dad I don't want to ask Ethan that we haven't been exactly close since I left high school" " Paul dear just help your dad call him and give him the phone you don't have to be in the middle if he doesn't" Stephinie said remembering how her husband had been complaining about how he needs a singer to sign to increase his weight in the company after the new expansion

"Okay then let me check here there he is Ethan " said Paul as he clicked the call button and after a few rings it got answered
