Chapter 3: glyph devil soul and Su Xiaoqiao
Once everything at home was taken care of, and after spending some quality time with my mom, I teleported back to the shelter. Upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the swift flying ant I had purchased from the market had finally evolved into a sacred blood creature.
I examined its transformation closely: its size had reduced by 15 to 17 centimeters, now measuring only about 13 centimeters. Its former black body had taken on a slight crimson hue. For a brief moment, I hesitated, contemplating whether to allow it to evolve into a Super Creature. Ultimately, I decided against it; I needed to boost my own fitness quickly to prepare for future challenges, like the impending battle with that formidable Shura.
After a moment of indecision, I took out my devil soul and struck at the joint between its upper and lower body, targeting its weakest point.
"Sacred blood creature swift flying ant killed. Swift flying ant sacred blood beast soul gained. Eat the swift flying ant to gain zero to ten sacred blood geno points randomly."
After finishing off my meal, I began to reflect on Su Xiaoqiao, the wealthy customer and friend of Han Sen. I knew it was time to seek him out.
"Swift air ant flesh eaten. One sacred blood Geno Point gained.
This announcement echoed in my mind a total of eight times before I cleared my plate completely, savoring every bite. I could even sense a slight surge in my strength, prompting me to pause and check my progress in detail.

As I gazed at the details of the Golden Armour and Speed Glyph, a wave of happiness washed over me. The Golden Armour was self-explanatory, a marvel of protection in combat. But the Speed Glyph promised to enhance my speed by a staggering 75%. With these impressive assets at my disposal, I felt a surge of confidence that my journey ahead would be significantly easier—at least for the time being, at least in the immediate future.
Now, it was time to meet Su Xiaoqiao, whom I had been eager to catch up with, knowing that our meeting could lead to new opportunities and challenges that awaited us."
After I left my shelter and made my way to the Zephyr Valley with a determined focus, I was eager to hunt down the swift mantis and meet my good customer, who had been waiting for my return.
For Han Sen, however, the swift mantis proved to be the best option for several reasons. Ultimately, it was merely a primitive creature, and there was no way it could pierce through his sacred-blood-beast soul armor. If he couldn't be harmed by the swift mantis, then it stood to reason that he would be able to kill it with relative ease, especially since my own strength far exceeded that of the mantis.
The most critical aspect of this endeavor was that once its claws and wings were removed, a swift mantis would be left defenseless and unable to fight back, but interestingly enough, it could still continue to survive. This presented a fantastic opportunity for Han Sen, who could effortlessly transport it back with him. He could then keep it within the confines of his room and utilize the black crystal to initiate its evolution into either a mutant creature or possibly a sacred-blood variant.
As I arrived at the valley, I immediately began my hunt, stealthily stalking my surroundings as I targeted the swift mantises that were within my line of sight. Soon enough, I found myself engaged in a flurry of activity, systematically taking down these creatures one by one, and before long, I had amassed a considerable number of them, far more than I had initially anticipated.
I also got some beast souls. The beast soul of a swift mantis was in the shape of a swift jagged blade, which was a long dagger, a type of weapon Han Sen had mastered.
Although the swift jagged blade was only a primitive beast soul weapon, it was the sharpest of all primitive weapons, and could even compare to some mutant beast soul weapons.
He is finally here.
....
"Someone must have wiped out the swift mantises. Fist Guy or Son of Heaven? No. Although there are clear signs of fighting, there should be more damage evident if it were a group of people..."
Surprised and a bit overwhelmed, Su Xiaoqiao zipped into the valley, his mind racing with a torrent of questions about what had possibly transpired here.
As he had anticipated, he quickly found numerous green blood stains from the swift mantises littering the ground in disarray. Unable to resist the urge to investigate further, he followed the trail of blood, his heart pounding with each step, until he turned a corner. There, he was suddenly halted in his tracks, horrified by the shocking and gruesome scene that lay before him.
Piled high were the lifeless bodies of numerous swift mantises, their vibrant green exoskeletons contrasting starkly with the blood-soaked earth. Beside them loomed a formidable golden figure, its imposing presence almost surreal. In the bright sunlight, it appeared like a robotic sentinel, clad in gleaming golden armor that reflected the light in blinding flashes. The sight was both awe-inspiring and terrifying, casting an eerie shadow over the landscape as Su Xiaoqiao struggled to comprehend the gravity of the situation surrounding him.
"Brother, did you really kill all these swift mantises?" Su Xiaoqiao asked, her gaze fixed on the figure in golden armor, the only one present amidst the carnage.
The dead mantises lay scattered around, still oozing blood, indicating that they hadn't been dead for long. Su Xiaoqiao found it hard to believe that anyone could take down so many of these formidable creatures in such a brief span of time.
Despite being classified as primitive creatures, swift mantises were not to be underestimated. With their razor-sharp forelegs and remarkable speed, even those who had maxed out their primitive geno points approached them with caution, knowing better than to provoke such deadly foes.
