Chapter 41: Trish and Emma
"Haah! ... I can't believe I got drunk and ended up in bed with him," Emma muttered to herself, covering her face as she thought about her activities from the previous night. Her face turned even redder as she recalled how gentle and sweet Dave had been.
"But... he was quite gentle and sweet," she whispered, her embarrassment mixing with the warmth of the memory. "Maybe... it's actually nice to be in a relationship," Emma thought to herself, feeling conflicted but oddly content.
As she was deep in thought, she lifted her head to see Dave emerging, holding a tray. "Here, you should rest in bed for now," Dave said kindly as he placed the food in front of her.
Emma looked at the tray, surprised to see toast, eggs, and milk. "This...?" she asked, looking up at him.
"Well, you might feel some discomfort if you try to move too much, so I thought you should have breakfast in bed," Dave explained with a smile.
Emma smiled back softly, appreciating the gesture. She felt a sense of warmth and care she hadn't expected, and nodded. "Thank you... Dave," she said, feeling more at ease as she dug into the breakfast, realizing she was more satisfied than she had anticipated.
"It's okay , I can do this much for my girlfriend" Dave smiled and said a Emma nodded.
"I'm going to the washroom. You eat in comfort," Dave said as he left the room, leaving Emma to her thoughts.
Moments later, Diana stormed in, crossing her arms with a cold expression. "Why did you seduce him? What do you want from him?" she demanded, her voice sharp, like an angry cat ready to pounce.
Emma raised her head, an eyebrow arching slightly before a sly smile tugged at her lips. "Jealous?" she asked playfully.
"W-what? Who's jealous?!" Diana stuttered, her face flushing with anger and embarrassment. "I just want to make sure Dave doesn't get smitten by a slut like you!" she pointed accusingly, her voice laced with frustration.
Emma rolled her eyes at Diana's outburst, smirking. "So, you do like him, hmm," she muttered to herself.
"But you should give up now. He's mine," Emma declared confidently, standing tall as Diana fumed.
Diana let out a mocking laugh. "You may not know this, but there's another woman in Dave's life—her name is Trish, and you are nothing compared to her," she sneered, her words dripping with scorn.
Emma frowned, setting the food tray aside. Despite her composure, a flash of coldness flickered in her eyes. "Who is this Trish?" she asked icily.
"Follow me, and you'll see," Diana replied with a smug grin, already turning to lead the way.
'Humph, I may lose to Trish, but I won't lose to you,' Diana thought inwardly, determined to keep Emma at bay. Meanwhile, Dave, who had been listening to the conversation from the hallway, chuckled to himself. 'Will there be a catfight, or will Trish handle this?' he wondered, deciding to let things unfold and see what would happen next.
'is there any other woman in Dave life and he is just playboy?" Emma thought to herself as she clenched her fist angrily.
"Here she is," Diana said, pointing toward the drop-dead gorgeous woman lounging lazily on the sofa, watching TV.
Emma, looking at Trish, felt her confidence waver for a moment. However, she mustered her courage and confronted her directly. "Are you Dave's girlfriend?" she asked angrily, her voice sharp.
"No," Trish replied without even glancing at Emma. 'Of course, I'm his servant, not his girlfriend,' she thought inwardly, keeping her true feelings hidden.
Trish's casual response only frustrated Emma more, so she pressed on, her eyes narrowing. "Are you sleeping with him?" she asked, her voice trembling with anger.
"Yes, I am," Trish responded bluntly.
Emma's eyes widened, and her fists clenched in fury. "That bastard..." she muttered under her breath, feeling betrayed.
"But it's for his safety," Trish added calmly, not breaking her relaxed posture. She glanced at Emma from the corner of her eye, watching her reaction closely.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Emma demanded, still boiling with anger and confusion.
A low chuckle escaped Trish as she suddenly transformed into her demonic form—dark wings sprouted, horns emerged, and her appearance became truly devilish. Emma, startled, fell back onto her knees, fear creeping into her expression.
"Relax," Trish said, her voice taking on a more sinister tone. "I'm a demon under Dave's command. He's gained my power, but it's too much for a human to handle alone."
Emma stared at her, both shocked and trying to comprehend the situation. "So... you're protecting him by... being with him?" she asked, her anger slowly giving way to confusion.
"Exactly," Trish said with a smirk. "It's not about love—it's about power, and trust me, you don't want to cross me."
Emma gulped, still trying to process the bizarre revelation.
'Does she have to complicate it like that?' Dave thought as he looked at Trish.
'It's better to be honest from start, lest it break our relationship later' Dave thought as he entered wearing his towel.
"But even after that, I won't leave her," Dave said as he entered the room, his voice calm but firm.
Emma looked back at him, still wearing her lingerie, catching his gaze as his eyes briefly wandered over her.
"What do you mean?" she asked, standing up, her eyes narrowing as she walked closer to him.
"I mean, she has helped me in more ways than you know. Even if I later gain full control of my powers, I won't abandon her," Dave said, his tone resolute.
"So, you want a harem?" Emma crossed her arms, staring him down, her voice cool yet laced with an edge of disbelief.
"Yes," Dave nodded, bracing himself for the possible backlash and the sudden tension between them, especially considering their freshly formed relationship.
To his surprise, Emma didn't explode in anger. Instead, she took a moment, her expression shifting, calculating. Finally, she replied, "I will allow it."
"Huh?" Dave almost lost his balance, his eyes wide with shock as he stared at her, not expecting that response.
Emma smirked a little, walking up to him. "I'm no fool, Dave. Power attracts power. As long as I stand at your side, I'll have what I want, too. Just remember, I won't be second to anyone." Her tone was as cold as it was confident, showing that she wasn't backing down but rather adjusting to this unexpected dynamic.
Dave was still processing her answer, but one thing was clear—this wasn't going to be as simple as he thought.
