Chapter 1304: Who Can Prove It
The Hummer crashed through two police cars and sped forward.
Everything happened so suddenly that the surrounding officers had no time to react.
Lin Chen's gaze turned cold as he snatched a submachine gun directly from a SWAT officer, aiming at the vehicle's tires.
"Dada!"
Along with the crisp sound of gunfire, the bullets struck the tires with almost perfect accuracy.
The tires exploded, and the Hummer swerved wildly, crashing into a tree by the roadside.
Police swarmed in, surrounding the Hummer.
One of the SWAT officers looked at the tires, his eyes almost popping out.
This SWAT officer was a Hummer enthusiast, familiar with the car's performance, knowing that normally bullets were hard to pierce the Hummer's tires.
But when he saw the bullet holes on the tires, he was dumbfounded.
A whole clip of bullets had hit the tires at the same spot.
Hummer's tires are very tough and cannot be pierced with a single shot.
However, Lin Chen's consecutive shots all landed on one spot.
Even though the Hummer's tires are hard, they couldn't withstand dozens of bullets hitting the same spot.
My God, how did he manage to do that?
The SWAT officer was stunned looking at Lin Chen.
You must know, the Hummer was speeding fast, its wheels constantly turning, the vehicle already having rushed over 400 meters, and Lin Chen managed to shoot at the same spot from so far away, it's simply unbelievable.
Lin Chen glanced at the Hummer, snorted coldly, and said to the other officers, "Don't let this distract you. Keep an eye on passing vehicles. There's nothing in that car; it's just a diversion to attract our attention."
In the Hummer, Xu Wei gripped the steering wheel, feeling exceedingly scared.
How could this happen, my Hummer's tires shot through?
"Young Master, some officers followed us while others continue to inspect vehicles. It seems our plan failed."
Xu Wei's previous flippancy had disappeared, replaced by maturity and seasoned calm.
"That Lin Chen is truly hard to deal with. When captured, we need to cause a disturbance to divert their attention," Xu Wei said as he opened the car door, raised his hands, and left the vehicle.
Meanwhile, on a bus, a young man wearing sunglasses was reading a newspaper. It was Aji.
When separated from Xu Wei, they had crafted a plan—Xu Wei would create chaos and Aji would dash through while distracted.
Unfortunately, Lin Chen wasn't affected at all and stood blocking the road like an immovable stone Buddha.
With Lin Chen there, Aji dared not make any rash moves.
Conveniently, a bus stopped nearby with many people going to the toilet. Aji mixed in with the crowd, planning to use the bus to escape.
"Damn, Lin Chen is truly troublesome," Aji thought, brow furrowed tightly.
One had to admit, Aji was very clever, disguising himself as an old grandpa among the diverse bus passengers, nobody suspected him.
Aji was very cautious. Upon learning the video was exposed, he had a bad feeling.
Thus, Aji contacted Xu Wei, hoping to leave West City silently and avoid the heat.
However, even in his wildest dreams, he never expected Lin Chen to find his residence and pursue him throughout the city.
Aji couldn't fathom how Lin Chen discovered him despite being so meticulous.
Now, Aji had no other choice, hoping he could blend in and escape successfully.
Meanwhile, Xu Wei and the girl were brought back in front of Lin Chen.
Xu Wei furiously exclaimed, "I have M Country nationality; you have no right to arrest me."
Lin Chen looked at Xu Wei and chuckled lightly, "You say you're from M Country, so you are? Well, I could say I'm from Jupiter."
Seeing Lin Chen's disbelief, Xu Wei coldly snorted and pulled a passport from his pocket, handing it to Lin Chen.
Lin Chen took the passport and looked. Indeed, the boy was from M Country.
Xu Wei looked pleased, "I'm a citizen of M Country, under its protection. You have no right to capture me."
Just then, a gust of wind blew and Lin Chen's hand loosened, the passport getting blown into the river.
"You!" Seeing the passport fall into the water, Xu Wei's face changed.
Lin Chen looked at Xu Wei, a playful smile on his face, "Sorry Xu, the wind was too strong and it slipped."
"Slipped? What a joke. You clearly loosened your hand deliberately," Xu Wei exclaimed furiously.
"Now, without your passport, you cannot prove your identity," Lin Chen suddenly said.
"You clearly saw the passport," Xu Wei's face changed instantly, realizing Lin Chen had his own plans behind the act.
Lin Chen sighed, "The light was too dim just now; I didn't see it clearly. Now it's troublesome, without verifying your identity, we'll have to inconvenience you."
"You bastard, how dare you trick me," Xu Wei shouted angrily.
"Trick you? I plan to arrest you for obstructing police work. Cuff him," Lin Chen ordered two police officers.
The officers found the scene amusing.
The Xu family had deep connections; normally officers treated Xu Wei with great respect. But today, he encountered a nemesis.
Even they didn't expect Lin Chen to shamelessly throw Xu Wei's passport into the river, providing a reason for arrest.
"I did nothing wrong, just upset at a lowly cop shouting orders. How dare you cuff me?" Xu Wei struggled vehemently.
Determined, Xu Wei planned to muddy the waters to help Aji escape.
Seeing Xu Wei struggle hard, Lin Chen's gaze turned cold, and he kicked Xu Wei hard in the stomach.
Bang!
Xu Wei stumbled back several steps, nearly falling into the Weihe River if not held by two officers.
The kick churned Xu Wei's insides, leaving him no strength to resist, obediently cuffed by the officers.
The police were stunned to see Lin Chen nearly kick Xu Wei into the river.
Xu Wei, the renowned Princely Heir of the top family in West City, and Lin Chen dared kick him strongly. What audacity!
"Kid, you'll pay for kicking me," Xu Wei threatened Lin Chen with malice.
Lin Chen approached, smiling lightly, "Kick you? I'll slap you too."
With those words, Lin Chen slapped Xu Wei across the face.
Xu Wei lost his balance, stumbling to the ground.
"You police dare assault a M Country national, it's outrageous. We'll report to M Country embassy," the girl complained.
"So you're from M Country? But who can prove it?" Lin Chen teased.
