Lin Chen scratched his head; he felt like this troublesome person was really sticking to him.

"Alright, if you want to follow, just follow." Lin Chen sighed and turned, heading toward the bar.

Xu Wei was indeed relentless, but Lin Chen stopped when he reached the men's bathroom.

"Miss, are you sure you want to keep following?" Lin Chen teased Xu Wei.

Xu Wei was just about to keep walking when she noticed the men's restroom sign above; she snorted and stopped at the door.

"Officer Xu, if you want to watch me pee, I don't mind. You're welcome to enjoy the view," Lin Chen said with a cheeky smile.

"Hmph, who's interested in watching you?" Xu Wei snorted coldly.

Lin Chen laughed as he entered the bathroom, and although Xu Wei stood at the door, her ears were attuned to the sounds inside.

Sure enough, the sound of rushing water was heard shortly afterward.

Yet Xu Wei waited for a long time without hearing any further movement inside.

Xu Wei furrowed her brow; that shouldn't be right—he should be done even if it was a number two.

"Damn!" Xu Wei's face changed slightly, and she quickly dashed into the bathroom.

Inside, Xu Wei saw that all the stalls were open except the last one, which was locked.

Finally relieved, Xu Wei still hesitantly knocked on the stall door.

However, there was no response from inside.

"Something's wrong; there must be a problem."

Xu Wei's brow furrowed, and she kicked the stall door.

The door swung open, but there was no sign of Lin Chen in there.

Suddenly, Xu Wei had a realization; she noticed the bathroom door was open, and when she looked in, it was pitch black and empty.

"That despicable guy." Xu Wei stomped her foot in anger.

Just then, a drunk man walked into the bathroom and immediately dropped his pants.

However, when he lifted his head, he found a beautiful woman standing right in front of him.

In an instant, the drunk man was stunned, thinking he was seeing things, and rubbed his eyes.

"Did I accidentally walk into the women's restroom? How come there's a big beauty in here?"

Xu Wei's face turned red, and she angrily shouted, "What are you looking at? Just do your business!"

She then furiously prepared to leave the bathroom.

The drunk realized it wasn't an illusion; the beauty was really there before him.

"Beautiful lady, want to hang out?" the drunk hurriedly asked as Xu Wei started to leave.

Xu Wei suddenly halted, eyes blazing with fury.

"What did you say?" Xu Wei's gaze was filled with murderous intent.

Intimidated by Xu Wei's aura, the drunk's face changed slightly, and his voice became a bit shaky.

"I meant, should we hang out? I can pay," the drunk greedily eyed Xu Wei.

"Smack!"

A loud slap echoed.

"Hang out, my foot!"

The slap knocked the drunk senseless, and Xu Wei stormed out of the bathroom.

She stomped her foot hard: "Lin Chen, trying to ditch me, not so easy."

Lin Chen, at that moment, was casually walking down the street and suddenly sneezed.

He rubbed his itchy nose and thought to himself, seems like someone is missing me.

Upon returning to Li Yunfei's house, Lin Chen found the lights still on.

At the window, a shadow was anxiously looking around.

"That silly girl stayed up all night waiting for me," Lin Chen smiled wryly and used the keys Li Yunfei had given him to open the door.

Li Yunfei quickly ran over, examining Lin Chen from head to toe.

"Lin Chen, are you alright?" Li Yunfei asked anxiously.

Lin Chen smiled calmly, "Don't worry, I'm fine."

"Did they catch that killer?" Li Yunfei asked.

"No, she got away," Lin Chen sighed.

"I see. I heard an explosion in the city just now and was worried something might have happened to you," Li Yunfei said, relieved.

Lin Chen affectionately patted her little head, "Stop overthinking, you have work tomorrow, remember?"

Li Yunfei finally nodded and went into the room.

Lin Chen took a shower and then lay directly on the bed, falling asleep.

When he opened his eyes, it was already past nine in the morning, and Lin Chen realized Li Yunfei had gone to work.

A breakfast was set on the table with neatly written small letters.

"I made some preserved egg and lean meat porridge in the cooker, remember to eat it when you get up. The weather's changing outside, so wear extra clothes. See you tonight."

Underneath was a smiley face, and below the note was a bunch of hundred-dollar bills.

Lin Chen shook his head, Yunfei truly was a thoughtful girl.

Once Yunfei got off work, they should go together to see her father, see if he could do something to restore him.

Lin Chen currently didn't have a penny, and he pocketed the money from the table.

Then he picked up his phone and dialed a number.

"Hello, I'd like to buy some Revitalizing Medicine," Lin Chen said once the call connected.

"Buying medicine at a drugstore? Sis doesn't sell medicine, you idiot," came a lazy voice before the call was abruptly hung up.

Staring at the phone, Lin Chen suddenly felt foolish; did the Hall Master set him up? Didn't he say yesterday that dialing this number would lead him to the contact?

On the other end of the call, two beauties were sleeping in the morning.

Even though they were in a deep sleep, the sight of them was enough to captivate any man.

"Sis, whose call was that?" a young beauty asked, yawning.

"Some idiot said he wanted to buy some Revitalizing Medicine," replied the other beauty.

"Revitalizing Medicine!" Shu Ya suddenly sat up.

"What's wrong?" Xiao Ying asked, puzzled.

"Sis, why'd you hang up?" Shu Ya hurriedly grabbed the phone.

Xiao Ying was first puzzled then seemed to understand something: "I see, is it your little lover speaking in code about Revitalizing Medicine?"

"What are you talking about? There's nothing like that," Shu Ya retorted as she tried to snatch the phone.

"Come on, confess honestly, that was a fresh young voice, wasn't it?" Xiao Ying teased, hiding the phone behind her.

"What fresh voice? Stop fooling around, it's important," Shu Ya said as she seized the phone.

Lin Chen checked the message sent by the Hall Master and confirmed the number he dialed wasn't wrong.

But the person hung up right away, even calling him an idiot.

As Lin Chen debated whether to call back, his phone suddenly rang.

After looking at the incoming call, it was indeed the same number.

When he answered, a sweet voice came over the line: "Hello, did you want to buy medicine?"

Lin Chen nodded: "Yes, I'd like some Revitalizing Medicine."

"How many pounds?" the person asked.

"Three pounds!" Lin Chen replied.

"You finally contacted me," she exclaimed with relief after hearing Lin Chen's response.

Lin Chen noticed the voice was different from the first time; he asked, "Where should we meet?"

Shu Ya said, "In an hour at the Bai Hua Tang pharmacy."

Putting down the phone, Lin Chen hailed a taxi.

"Her voice sounded sweet; I hope my contact is a beauty," Lin Chen thought to himself.

"Driver, to Bai Hua Tang," Lin Chen said directly.

"Bai Hua Tang?" The taxi driver hesitated, then showed a peculiar smile.

"Young man, I didn't expect you to be like the rest of us, you got good taste!" the driver laughed.
