Xu Wei was about to lash out, but seeing the people standing at the door, she froze.

Leading the group was her immediate superior, Shao Lei, the director of Huashi Public Security Bureau, and behind him stood a helpless-looking male officer. Behind them was a pretty-faced young woman.

Officer Yang gave Xu Wei a look, indicating that it wasn't his fault for not following orders, he simply couldn't stop them.

Xu Wei glared at him awkwardly and smiled: "Director Shao, you are so busy, how do you have the time to come here?"

Director Shao snorted coldly: "Couldn't you give me some peace of mind, girl? If I hadn't come today, you'd be in big trouble. Do you know who you've arrested today?"

Xu Wei paused for a moment and said: "Of course I know, this guy is a murderer who killed more than ten people."

"A murderer? What kind of joke is this, he is..."

Shao Lei was about to speak when the girl behind him coughed and smiled, looking delightedly at Lin Chen.

"Lin Chen, it seems your life is quite comfortable!" The girl said with bright eyes, giggling.

"Anna?" Lin Chen looked at Anna with an awkward face, feeling like he had done something bad and was caught in the act by his wife.

Lin Chen's current state was very suggestive, lying flat on his back, with a particular part still upright.

"Director Shao, it's okay, this guy deserves some torture." Anna glared at Lin Chen and said with a smile.

Lin Chen got up from the ground, blushing and said: "Why are you here?"

Anna snorted coldly: "It's all because of you."

"Because of me?" Lin Chen paused for a moment, then thought of something.

"Is someone impersonating me to commit murder?" Lin Chen asked.

Anna nodded and then said: "Come with me."

Lin Chen and the others arrived at the conference room of Huashi Public Security Bureau.

Xu Wei was now even more puzzled; Lin Chen was clearly a heinous murderer, yet in the blink of an eye, he had become the upper-level boss of the director.

Especially seeing the director being respectful in front of Lin Chen and Anna, she felt even more bewildered.

Soon the slideshow began, showing video footage of "Lin Chen's" figure.

In the video, Lin Chen held a dagger and suddenly approached a young girl walking by the roadside.

As the two crossed paths, his dagger had already aimed at the girl.

The girl fell down and was dragged into an alley, and the video abruptly ended.

The subsequent videos followed similar scenarios, all involving young girls in their early twenties as victims.

Lin Chen frowned tightly at the videos; clearly, someone was trying to frame him.

The crimes all took place under surveillance, with the perpetrator intentionally leaving video evidence.

Xu Wei introduced: "The perpetrator's methods are extremely cruel, always killing the girls and removing their hearts."

As she spoke, Xu Wei's eyes turned toward Lin Chen again.

She found the case analysis very strange; the perpetrator was sitting there, yet everyone was analyzing the case for him.

After watching the video, Shao Lei laughed heartily: "Dear leaders, we've already invested significant police resources into the case but found no leads. It's great that you're here, I'll cooperate fully with your work."

"I'm just here to transition, this case is under the charge of Consultant Lin." Anna said lightly.

Lin Chen looked at the paused video and pondered for a moment: "I don't need much cooperation for now, just lend me Captain Xu Wei."
