Chapter 600: Chapter 594: Setting Off (Part One)
After perceiving the situation, Finn Lewis had Zero evaluate his traits. The attributes of Lewis’s physical body had not changed significantly; they were still at the human limit, slightly exceeding an average of 10 points. However, his intelligence attribute had shockingly soared to 100, which was significantly higher than before.
Despite this change in attributes, Lewis knew that this was due to the unexplained increase in his mental strength as a result of becoming the Supreme Ruler of the Insect Species. As for the specific reason, Olivia Thatcher had no power to uncover it within a short time period. Zero likely understood, but offered no explanation to Lewis.
After dealing with issues related to the Insect Species, Lewis posed a question to Keller, “If I wish to carry a larvae that can hatch into a worker bee, without being detected, and the hatched worker bee still needs to have enough energy to build a base, is there a way to achieve it?”
“There’s none. However, I want to understand your intentions, Supreme Ruler. Do you intend to infiltrate Insect Species units into secret locations and secretly expand the power of the Insect Species?” Keller bluntly asked, lacking delicate expressions even with its superior intelligence.
“You could say that.”
“There’s another way to approach this. There are no larvae that can hatch worker bees undetected, but there are other options to achieve what you want.” said Keller decisively.
“What solution?” Lewis was immediately alert. His inquiry was natural as he intended to bring this thing to the so-called Galactic Federation’s Milky Way Star Region. Lewis must hold some trump cards in his hand!…
“A disguised parasite. It can parasitize any creature and stay dormant. Ultimately, it can absorb the life essence of its host organism to expand itself. When it has stored enough life essence, it can evolve and hatch into an aggressive type of Queen. It is slightly different from us – its wisdom varies, but it can birth and instantly hatch an aggressive Swift Beast or other Insect Species units. Of course, it can also hatch a Queen.” Keller explaned.
“Hmm, that’s one way. Additionally, I might need to distribute some spores along the way. I want to carry some spores with me when leaving.” Lewis thought about it and made a decision. The solution Keller offered was covert. However, besides that, Lewis also needed some Insect Species units which could develop unnoticed on lesser-known planets.
The Insect Species species couldn’t merely develop in the Solar System. Because other intelligent species would presumably perceive them as extremely malicious beings that must be eradicated, as can be inferred from Zero’s reactions.
“Yes, Supreme Ruler,” Keller respectfully replied.
“Zero, can your space carry spores?” Lewis asked Zero directly. By then, he had somewhat understood that Zero was probably an extraterrestrial. Regardless of where Lewis went, it probably needed to travel in a spaceship or something similar.
So, Lewis didn’t specifically ask whether Zero could follow him or not. He merely wanted to see whether Zero could accompany him. If Zero didn’t say anything, it would likely be possible.
“We can carry them.” Zero answered Lewis’s question succinctly. Lewis nodded, noticing that Zero’s capability was much higher than he had expected. Once Keller’s issue was resolved, it would be time to focus on Lewis’s reward.
“What’s the concept of the multi-functional production base in my mission completion reward?” Lewis asked about the matter that concerned him the most.
“If you want to go, you must exchange for a small spaceship. So I suggest discussing this matter after you have accepted the inheritance right of this star region.” Zero answered straightforwardly. Lewis had no objections. However, Zero’s remarks confirmed his own guess – this multi-functional production base obviously couldn’t be on Earth, or it would have been found long ago.
Unless it was like Dido, hidden deep under the sea. However, Lewis wasn’t quite clear about what kind of entity Dido was exactly. From the explanation of Dunn Monty and Thomas Calvin, Lewis figured it out – it must be something he left for himself. But this is what Monty and Thomas said; as for Lewis’s own understanding.
Monty and Thomas mentioned that as long as the life gene sequence is the same, it counts as the same person. Could it be the reincarnation mentioned in ancient Flame Nation mythology? It’s very likely! Because it seems to be the only way to make sense of it. According to the myth of Flame Nation, humans have past lives. It is consistent with this idea.
However, no matter what, Lewis just considered himself to be himself. “Then what is a star credit?” Lewis asked the next question.
Because the reward for this mission seemed to have changed his previous control over the amount of money, of course, whether it disappeared or not, Lewis didn’t care. After all, he was never short of money, but a currency called star credit appeared. Exactly what it is, although Lewis has some guesses, but if it’s true, that would be extremely profitable.
“Star credit is the universal currency of the Galactic Federation, issued by the Federation Top Bank.” Zero explained this clearly.
Lewis narrowed his eyes. It appeared that Zero had also begun to shift grounds, “Can I start choosing the materials for the thirty-six warehouses now?”
“Of course, you can choose at any time.” Zero answered straightforwardly.
“List them out for me.” Lewis prompted immediately.
“Sir, I suggest you don’t choose for the moment.” Olivia Thatcher’s voice suddenly sounded, “Sir, you can just look and remember their names.”
“Why?” Lewis was taken aback. Although he knew he probably wouldn’t recognize the names of those materials, in Zero’s resource storage, those things naturally considered as resources couldn’t possibly be ordinary materials. Precious metals on earth are not considered anything in space.
For instance, is platinum considered valuable on Earth? It’s much more precious than gold, but scientists discovered an asteroid this year. Although it’s small in size, it’s a platinum-core asteroid. The quantity of platinum on the asteroid exceeds 100 million tons, whereas the discovered platinum reserves on earth are only about 14,000 tons!
This goes to show that what Earth perceives as precious metals are nothing in the universe. If platinum can be like this, let alone gold. As for diamonds, it is uncertain whether there exist planets made entirely of diamonds in the universe.
Therefore, the rare materials in Zero’s thirty-six warehouses are truly rare. Lewis wouldn’t know the names of those materials inside.
