Chapter 480 - 474: Daughter-in-law Meets Her In-laws
Chapter 480: Chapter 474: Daughter-in-law Meets Her In-laws
Finn Lewis didn’t object either, this was just a small ~intermezzo~, but he found it strange and asked, “Mom, didn’t I hire a lot of people for you?” These matters were all handled by Fishy Wells, Finn Lewis was sure she had completed her tasks. Now, in this situation, the issue must have occurred on his mom’s side. Net
“Alright, your father and I are not disabled, we don’t need anyone to serve us, I dismissed all the others, and just kept these two girls.” Fay Wells said with a laugh. Then she turned to Kay Lee and said, “Kay, it’s your first time here, are you getting used to the weather?”
“I’m used to it, Auntie, I’m quite healthy.” Kay Lee hurriedly responded.
“You two chat, I’ll go have them bring the stuff in.” Finn Lewis decided it was better to not hang around chatting, but to have help bring in the supplies.
“Let me join too.” Zoe also jumped off the sofa and announced, Finn Lewis chuckled and nodded, leading Zoe outside by hand.
Finn and Zoe arrange for Lewis the elder to deliver the stuff from outside. Fishy Wells did not come, and instead stayed in a hotel with Sarah Wood and was only accompanied by Lewis the elder.
After the stuff was brought inside, Kay and Fay had a good chat. While the living conditions of Finn’s parents improved significantly, their personalities did not change much. They were in a better place to live, and that was it. It didn’t make much difference to them whether Finn was worth one billion or one trillion. Maybe it was because the time period was too short.
Finn Lewis hadn’t dramatically changed their lives either, because of knowing that if he had hastily changed their lives, they would definitely be uncomfortable. “Mom, you guys chat. I’m going to make a few calls upstairs. Got a bit of work to deal with.”
“Go ahead, oh right, call someone over tonight to cook dinner at home, invite everyone over for a meal. We have too many people, Sarah alone won’t be able to manage.” Fay Wells spoke to Finn Lewis before he left.
Finn grinned at this, it seemed his mother wasn’t all that unchanged; she had certainly evolved. She even knew now to hire people to cook dinner from outside.
Truth be told, Finn personally hadn’t done much of these arrangements. He just got Fishy Wells and Olivia Thatcher to organize things. He had asked Fishy Wells more frequently, but then Fishy called and told Finn a lot of things had been canceled because his parents, Fay and Hazel, had disagreed with so many things. This was why the lifestyle of Finn’s parents hadn’t undergone a drastic change.
After Finn went upstairs, he quickly called Olivia Thatcher and gave his command, “Olivia, buy back the villas that were sold in this neighborhood.”
“Already bought them back,” Olivia responded promptly.
“Really?” Finn raised an eyebrow, he was not aware of this. But then again, he was not surprised either, since he had granted the likes of Olivia and many intelligent robots such permissions.
“We had bought it a while back, but due to the shortage of manpower with you, the next step of the plan was temporarily halted,” Olivia clarified.
“Based on your calculations, how many people do we need?” Finn asked after thinking for a moment.
“There are a total of 147 villas, excluding the 24 villas where your relatives live, there are 123 villas left. If we arrange all of our people, we probably need at least 200 people.” Olivia replied.
“So, how many points will it take if we want to exchange for all of them?” Finn asked.
Regardless it was a T800, T1000, or T2500, it certainly required a combination of the lot. Just having a T800 model was simply not enough, its CPU was too inadequate to handle many tasks. The T1000 was far better, but a couple of T2500s would still be needed.
Currently, Finn had approximately 2.6 million points, with more coming in gradually. The tasks he had planned next posed certain risks, which is why he wanted to secure the safety of his parents and relatives first.
“About 1.2 million points.” The expense figured was high, but Olivia didn’t say anything more.
“Hmm, make the corresponding conversions directly.” Finn nodded in agreement after thinking it through.
“Okay, but you need to communicate with your parents, such as arranging a T2500 model to become their butler. While we don’t need to communicate with other people, I can handle all of that. But the best choice would be to establish a company in Hello City to manage these people.” Olivia suggested.
“Just leave it all to you. Have Jay Sommer open a branch company here.” Finn replied promptly after some thought.
“Understood.”
“Right, don’t make the T2500 model look too old, same age as me is good. Forget about the butler idea…I’ll explain this to my parents.” Finn considered for a bit and disagreed with Olivia’s suggestion. His parents would definitely not accept a butler or a maid, for that matter.
Olivia naturally had no opinions. After discussing with her, Finn called Fishy Wells and arranged the stuff his mother had asked him to. Afterward, he finally went downstairs.
When Finn came downstairs, Hazel had returned already and was chatting with Kay Lee. It seemed that Kay Lee became more relaxed, and it wasn’t just Hazel in the room, Sophie Lee, Charlotte Lee, and the two son-in-laws, their grandmother, and uncle had also arrived. The place was filled with family.
That was the benefit of staying close together, his mother had simply made a call, and everybody came over. Clearly, they were eager to see Finn’s wife. Upon seeing Finn, everyone greeted him cheerfully.
Truth be told, the lives of Finn’s family hadn’t changed much. While each person had been given a house by Finn and there was no need to pay any sort of property tax as they were free to live in them, their work and all other aspects were the same, no major changes. Even when they saw Finn, they didn’t act affected.
However, they were more courteous than before, that was for certain. Who could ignore the fact that Finn was now the most successful member of the Lewis and Wells families, neither of which were particularly significant?
While Finn was upstairs, because he had mentioned work-related matters, nobody interrupted. After scanning the room, though everyone hadn’t arrived yet, most families had a representative there. After some thought, Finn decided to just address everyone, “Everybody is here, I also have something to discuss with you all.”
“Due to some expansion requirements of my company, upcoming factories will definitely be erected here in Inner Mongolia. There will also be a branch company in Hello City, so I would like you all to consider working in my company…” After scanning the room, Finn began to speak seriously. After much deliberation, he didn’t want his relatives to miss out given that he himself was so wealthy.
