"Are you sure about your pick?" The emperor asked.
"Yes." Nathan nodded.
"All right. Since you are already sure, let's go out. You're not allowed to change the reward once you're out."
"Please."
The four of them finally exited the room. Despite taking so much time, it was quite surprising that the empress was still standing outside as though she had been waiting for them the whole time.
"Your Majesty." The empress politely lowered her head.
"Your Grace. I apologize for making you wait."
"It's not a problem, Your Majesty." The empress didn't have a change of expression, maintaining her dignity and composure the whole time.
The emperor put his hand on her back while guiding them outside.
"So, it's time for us to explain everything about our summoning method, but since I have these written manuals, how about I write everything for you?" Nathan suggested.
"That's indeed a good idea." The emperor thought for a few seconds before giving an order. "Right guardian. Lead them to the east chamber. Bring everything they need. Since it's about the summoning circle, I have heard that the seventh princess is planning to summon her familiar. Summon her and tell her to test the summoning circle."
This was a warning from the emperor so that Nathan couldn't deceive them. If it were a summoning circle that was meant to harm them, it would be the same as harming royalty. The emperor had all the justification he needed to hunt down Nathan and Evelyn by using every resource possible.
Fortunately, Nathan had no intention of harming them.
Once the right guardian led them to the chamber, Nathan started writing, only to be changed with Evelyn because his writing was horrible.

Karina nodded. "In that case…"
"Everything has been placed down on the circle, Your Highness." The right guardian reported.
"Thank you."
"What kind of familiar are you going to summon, Karina?" The emperor asked.
"I'm planning to summon an ogre king. With all my current familiars, having an Ogre King known for their strength and leadership will allow me to become a stable summoner."
The emperor nodded in agreement. "Indeed. In that case, please try it."
"Yes, Father." Karina walked to the summoning circle. She followed the instructions carefully and started chanting, "O' Miracle of the World, Divine Being of Summoning, please use my body as the beacon and grant the beloved being your passage. By my name, Karina Taula Erwih, heed my call and come forth to this world, the great being of another world."
The summoning circle lit up as usual. Up to this point, there was no change from their usual procedure other than the structure of the summoning circle and the chant.
The magic circle lit up, but the abrupt changes began from this point on.
