Chapter 186: Clearing The Air Part One
I sat at the picnic table with Susan, Kathy, and her boyfriend. We were all enjoying the food and were in great moods. The time we had was short, because the girls had to go back to class, so I packed a couple small lunches for them to eat between classes. They both thanked me and walked off... a bit shakily... and then I was alone with Kathy's boyfriend.
“Did that really just happen?” He asked me.
“Yeah.” I said and ate another spoonful of potato salad.
“I can't believe...” He shook his head. “Was Kathy always like this?”
“No, and she still isn't.” I said and he gave me an incredulous look. “She's not an exhibitionist and she's not into having sex outdoors or anything.”
“But... we just...”
“It was all you.” I said and he looked surprised. “I admit that Susan and I going at it in front of her had turned her on... but... and that's a huge but... she didn't want to join in or even played with herself. She called you because she loves you.”
He fell silent and didn't say anything as he ate a hot dog.
“I told you that she had every opportunity to join in, either by touch or by kiss, and she didn't try to move towards us at all. She liked seeing it, just because she liked seeing us express ourselves.” I said. “Then when you showed up, she expressed herself with you, and that's what she was into.”
The man sighed. “You know she started dating me because our body types match.”
“Yeah, and you are one lucky son of a bitch because of it.”
“Huh?”
“She picked you.” I said. “She didn't do what Susan did. She didn't try to wait for me or hoped that I would take a chance on her. No, she went out and found someone she could love all on her own and you won her over.” I pat him on the back. “It's all you. She's not loving my memory, or my surrogate. We never did anything like that.”
“But... she said...”
“She was drunk and I gave her a goodnight kiss. Well, two.” I chuckled. “She also firmly told me that she would never sleep with me, because she loved my sister too much to mess that up.”
The guy looked shocked.
“Yeah, it's true. I'm not sure if she remembers telling me that, though.” I said.
“Why are you telling me?” He asked.
“I had a bit of a breakthrough in therapy today.” I said and he didn't react. “Not everything revolves around me. Sometimes... just sometimes... things can happen and it doesn't have to be about me.”
The guy looked at the blanket and then at the food.
“Ha ha, I meant what you and Kathy have. It's not about me at all. She loves you so much that she ignored the guy you thought you were replacing, and I was all slicked up and naked in front of her.” I joked. “So, you know what that means.”
Kathy's boyfriend took a deep breath and let it out. “If she's not going to cheat on me with you, a super-rich guy that can fuck any woman he wants...”
“...she's never going to cheat on you.” I pat his back again. “Congratulations. Unlike a lot of men, you have definite proof that she loves you too much to hurt you.”
He sat there with a half eaten hot dog for several minutes before he spoke. “Hey, thanks.”
Both of our phones beeped at us. I checked mine and Susan sent me a text about how surprised she was that I hadn't taken advantage of the situation and used Kathy as a sex surrogate. I quickly responded that I knew she didn't want me to and she sent me a heart back, as well as a little picture down her top to show me her rockets were still deployed.
I chuckled. “Susan's grateful nothing happened between Kathy and us.”
Kathy's boyfriend nodded. “Kathy also told me to stop messing around and to get back to work.”
“Ha. Yeah, I guess we should.” I said and packed some of the stuff up. “Do you want some of this to take to work? I won't be eating all of this by myself.”
The guy looked over the huge amount of untouched food. “You know what? Sure. The guys at the garage love free food.”
I laughed and quickly packed up the rest and helped him put the containers in his car. “See you later.”
“I doubt Kathy would let anything like that happen again.” The guy said.
“We did kind of spring that on her at the last second.” I said. “Maybe a double date in a week or two?”
He looked like he was thinking about it.
“If any sex shenanigans happen, I'll be sure to limit it to a separate room.”
He looked surprised. “I'm not sure that'll be necessary.”
I chuckled. “We'll see how the girls feel about it, if it comes up.”
The guy sat there and didn't turn the car on.
“What is it?” I asked, sure that he wanted to ask me something.
“I heard you threw a wedding for an ex-girlfriend.”
“I did, and her husband wasn't the least bit upset that he couldn't waste his money like I could.”
Kathy's boyfriend chuckled. “That's my view, too. What do we need all that extra stuff for? I just wanna marry the girl, you know?”
“You have to compromise and give her everything she wants on her special day.”
“That's not actually compromising.” He responded.
“Oh, but it is. She's been dreaming about a big lavish wedding her whole life, if my ex-girlfriend is any indication. She won't actually tell you that she wants all the bells and whistles; but, she actually wants all the bells and whistles.” I reached into his window and gripped his shoulder. “I've got the perfect venue for it in my building. If you want me to, I can take care of everything.”
The guy looked relieved. “You don't know what that means to me.”
“It means that all the money you're scrambling to save for it can go right into your savings and you won't have to spend it all when you're just starting your lives together.”
He looked into my eyes. “You do understand.”
I nodded. “I had this exact conversation with my ex's husband. He told me he was envious of all my money and how easygoing I was when spending it, then he thanked me for not being an asshole about it.”
Kathy's boyfriend laughed. “Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking.”
“I'll tell you what I told him.” I said and the laughter faded from his face. “I'm not a charity. I'm not giving out money for free or frivolously. I like Kathy a lot. She's a great woman and you're very lucky to have her.”
He nodded in understanding and agreement.
“I'll spring for the wedding and everything, because I like helping my friends. I'll even throw in the honeymoon if you want.” I said and let his shoulder go. “Now I'll tell you something that I didn't have to tell him, because Lisa was already rich from the commissions on the condo and building.” I paused for a second. “What I won't do, because I learned my lesson the hard way, is just give you money to do what you want with it.”
Kathy's boyfriend nodded again.
I let him stew on my words for a minute and then spoke. “You need to get back to work.”
“Yeah.” He started the car. “Thanks for the food... and everything else.”
I nodded this time and he drove off, hopefully reassured in the loyalty of the woman he loves. I went back to the area I had sectioned off and stored the blanket, the large folding privacy screen, and the half eaten food and dirty paper plates.
I went to my car and went back home, only to hear Nat giggling and paint splashing around. “Do you want take out for lunch?”
“I'm busy!” Nat said loudly back and kept laughing.
I checked the fax machine, or the all in one machine, and there were several new papers there. They were from the advertising agency and they wanted to discuss how to handle the product. I checked the scheduled appointment that was in a few days and Nat should be done of the side room by then. I stuck it on the refrigerator and wrote Nat's name on it, so she would know it was for her, then I left the apartment.
I had a particular person that I needed to visit and I was pretty sure that she was avoiding me. I drove over to her house and no cars were there. That was a bit surprising, until I walked up to the front door and knocked. Stacy answered the door and she looked normal. She wasn't nervous, twitching, or looked dishevelled.
“Oh, it's you.” Stacy said, almost angrily. “I don't need you.”
I took in a deep breath through my nose and caught her scent. “Yes, you do.”
Stacy looked down at my crotch to see my growing reaction and then she looked at my face. “How are you doing that?”
“It doesn't matter. You can try to deny that I turn you on, and that's fine. You body is a bit more honest.”
“I'm not some sexual toy for you to use whenever you feel like it.” Stacy said.
“If I thought that, I wouldn't have waited so long to visit you.” I responded. “I'd be here using you all the time.”
Her smell increased and I took in another whiff of her.
“You smell good.” I said. “Can I come inside?”
Stacy opened her mouth to say no, then she got my double meaning. Her body shivered and she braced her hand on the door frame. “Why? Why can you make me feel like this?”
“I think you want me to.” I said and she looked surprised. “You're a professional and I assume everyone treats you with respect.”
“They used to.” Stacy said and stepped back. “Now I'm riding a desk and doing endless paperwork.”
“I should say that I'm sorry about that.” I said and stepped in and shut the door.
“Of course, you're not sorry.” Stacy said and started to take off her clothes. “Why would you be? You said you wanted to see us all suffer.”
“I actually wanted you all to suffer as much as I did; but, I held back.” I said and started undressing, too.
“Did you know they are still going to prosecute her for negligent homicide?” Stacy asked and pulled her skirt off, along with her pantyhose and underwear. “They know her bullets didn't kill that secret service agent and we told them the love note was fake.”
“I thought that was a nice touch. Everyone enjoys finding out about a love triangle.” I asked and pulled off my pants as she unhooked her bra. “I have my brilliant little moments.”
“You're a bastard is what you are.” Stacy said and took my hand to lead me to her bedroom. “Her husband left her, she might go to prison, and her brother's hands are still crushed.”
“The tech guy was her brother?” I asked, genuinely surprised.
“Yes, and the doctors have straightened the fingers and that's it. The nerves and muscles are too damaged to function properly.” Stacy said and sat me on the edge of the bed, then she used her hand to stroke me a few times. “They still can't find the nurse that tried to kill you.” She gave me a look, a very needy look, then she bent down and slipped me into her mouth.
“Oh... you... damn.” I groaned a little as her smell increased and hit my nostrils.
Stacy made a slurping sound and stood up to look at me. “What happened to her?”
“I was carrying the agent and her down the stairs.” I said and Stacy climbed on top of me.
“HNNNN!” Stacy moaned as I easily slid inside of her. “What... happened?”
“I tripped and fell down a flight of stairs.” I helped her and lifted her hips a little to thrust myself in deeper. “I was in severe pain for about ten minutes. When it lessened enough for me to make sense of where I was, her neck was broken and she was dead.”
“So... it was... an accident.” Stacy said and moaned as she rocked her hips. “Good god, you feel so good!”
“So do you.” I said and wrapped my arms around her and helped her move as we kept having sex.
