Suddenly Reincarnated Into R-19 Novel

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

"Don't worry, I'll find a way," Elisabeth said as she embraced me tightly.

After she left, I remained inside the room, feeling trapped in my own thoughts. Later, a maid entered and helped bathe me before dressing me in a beautiful gown.

"This was bought by the Duke for you," she remarked. I glanced at my reflection in the mirror; the dress was indeed lovely, but I couldn't shake off the discomfort of knowing who had gifted it to me.

Once dressed, they shackled my feet again, and I was confined to the room for the entire day. I pondered how I could escape this place. Elisabeth had promised to help me, but I also needed to devise a plan on my own since I knew the Duke wouldn't return until late at night.

As the hours dragged on, I found some solace in the fact that I was still alive. I spent most of the day lying in bed, with only meals being brought to me.

Suddenly, the door swung open, and in walked the Duke. My eyes widened in shock.

"I miss you, Henny... Do you miss me?" he asked, stepping closer and caressing my cheek. I quickly pushed his hand away.

"Ahhh... Henny, you're driving me crazy," he chuckled and without warning, he pulled my hand and sat me on his lap.

"You're being stubborn, Henny." He leaned in and kissed my neck. I pushed him away with all my strength, but he was too powerful, causing me to fall back onto the bed.

"I can't resist this, Henny." In a flash, he removed his shirt. No! Not again!

"LET ME GO! YOU LUNATIC!" I screamed, but he swiftly grabbed my ankle and licked my thigh.

"Let me kiss your legs, Henny." What the hell!

"I want to hear you moan, Henny," he said hoarsely. I felt helpless; all I could think about was how desperately I needed to escape this nightmare.

"D-Duke, why are you doing this to me?" He paused and looked deep into my eyes.

"Because I want you, Henny. The moment I laid eyes on you, you became mine."

"I'm just a maid! Why did you do this to me? You took my innocence—" My words were cut off as he interrupted.

"Then I'll take responsibility since you're going to be my wife. I'll make you my Duchess, Henny, so stop whining. I'll give you everything—whatever you want—"

"No! I'm not going to marry you! Just let me go; I'm begging you!" I pleaded desperately, but he glared at me menacingly.

"As if you have a choice? No matter what it takes, you must marry me!" He stood up abruptly and smashed a vase in front of me, causing shards to scatter everywhere and hitting my cheek.

He stormed out of the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. No! I don't want to marry him; I must escape!

I pressed my hand against the wound on my cheek and used a cloth to wipe away the blood that was seeping from it. After that incident, two days passed without the Duke visiting the mansion. Finally, he allowed me to leave my room.

To my surprise, I caught a glimpse of sunlight for the first time in days.

"HENNY!" A voice called out. My heart raced as I turned around and saw Ronan approaching. He managed to get close but was immediately blocked by a knight guarding me.

I rushed over to the knight and spoke with him briefly before pulling Ronan aside.

"What happened, Henny?" Ronan asked with concern as tears streamed down my face.

"I want to escape from here! The Duke... he raped me!" Ronan's eyes widened in shock at my confession.

"What? How did that happen?" he asked incredulously.

"I don't know! I need to get away because if I don't, I'll be trapped here forever!"

"I'll help you escape today, Henny. Meet me in the garden at three o'clock this afternoon," Ronan said firmly.

"Thank you so much! I've already told Elisabeth; please let her know you're helping me," I replied gratefully before returning inside.

This was my chance to escape before the Duke returned. I stayed hidden until the door opened once more and revealed the new Duchess of the Duke!

She sat on my bed and smiled at me warmly.

"You want to escape, right? I'll help you," she said suddenly standing up in surprise.

"Really?" I asked with hope in my voice.

"Yes... I don't want anyone sharing the Duke's attention with me; besides, you're just a lowly maid," she replied with a nod.

"And by the way," she continued casually, "I overheard your conversation with your boyfriend about your plan to escape; that's why I'm here."

"Thank you!" My heart swelled with gratitude toward her. Elisabeth had helped me; now Ronan was here too—could it be possible that I'd finally find freedom?

The hours passed slowly as I waited for the Duchess's return. She soon spoke with the knights about taking me out for a stroll; they hesitated at first but eventually relented when she used her authority as Duchess.

She led me to our meeting spot where Ronan would be waiting for us.

"Thank you so much!" I exclaimed as we arrived at our destination.

"Hurry up!" she urged impatiently as I quickly put on my hoodie. Ronan helped lay me down in a cart filled with hay so that we wouldn't be noticed by any guards outside.

I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude wash over me.

"We're almost there, Henny," Ronan whispered excitedly as we approached our escape route. Just then, we heard a guard calling out to Ronan.

"What's that?" he shouted suspiciously.

"It's just grass... I'm throwing it outside," Ronan replied nervously as we hoped we could slip past unnoticed.

"We need security here! We must see what's inside!" My heart raced as panic set in; I could see leaves rising from our cart just as Elisabeth's voice cut through the tension.

"Commander! Why don't you take a break? You look hungry from standing guard all day! Oh hey Ronan! Take that stuff away; didn't you tell Commander that plant is dangerous? Honestly!" Elisabeth scolded him playfully.

"I'm sorry!" Ronan replied sheepishly as he began moving again with urgency. Thank goodness for Elisabeth!

Finally making it outside with Ronan felt like a dream come true!

"We're here now; you can get out," he said gently helping me rise from the cart as tears of joy streamed down my face.

"Let's go!" he urged excitedly as we prepared to board his carriage when suddenly—

"Henny..."

I turned around in shock only to find myself face-to-face with the Duke. His sharp eyes bore into Ronan with murderous intent. No! Not Ronan!

Before I could reach him, the Duke had already seized Ronan by the throat.

"Let him go!" In desperation, I grabbed anything nearby and hurled it at him but it barely fazed him as he effortlessly retrieved his sword while keeping his grip tight on Ronan's neck.

"Please don't kill him! If you let him go, I'll marry you!" The words tumbled out before I'd even thought them through; he paused momentarily before sheathing his sword again.

I was out of options—I couldn't let Ronan die because of me!

"From now on you're not allowed back into this mansion. You're fired," he said coldly while dragging me away from Ronan's side. It felt hopeless; escaping seemed impossible now.

"Good to hear that Henny." He scooped me up effortlessly and kissed my forehead gently before continuing,

"I'm in a good mood today because I've prepared for our wedding—it's why I've been too busy to visit you lately—and that's what really makes me upset."

"I'll warn you now: don't even think about trying to escape again or else those who helped you will suffer."
