Chapter 348 Mastermind
The same thought emerged in everyone's mind. Upon hearing these words, the faces of Snow Amar and Snow Feng turned gloomy. They knew very well what awaited the Snow Family once they left Velorian City.
Not only would years of connections be lost, but finding a place to settle would also be a challenge. Surely no town would be eager to suddenly welcome a family that might compete for resources and influence.
"Leave?"
Seeing the mocking curve on Blaze Regret's lips, Snow Fazlin froze, fear rising in his heart. Could it be that he intended to eradicate them completely?
"You can survive, but first, you need to explain who is behind you, directing your actions." Blaze Regret clasped his hands behind his back, gazing indifferently into Snow Fazlin's eyes. The abrupt question left many bewildered.
A mastermind?
In this town, who could possibly use the Snow Family as a pawn?
"I don't understand what you're talking about," Snow Fazlin replied with a confused expression, but deep in his eyes, a flicker of concealed panic flashed.
"As expected, no one listens when you speak nicely."
Shaking his head with a slight smile, Blaze Regret's expression suddenly turned sharp. In a flash, he swung his right foot with full force, delivering a fierce kick to Snow Fazlin's chest.
"Poof!"
A mouthful of warm blood spewed uncontrollably as Snow Fazlin's body flew back, carving a deep trench in the ground. When he finally stopped, another mouthful of blood erupted.
"If my father's disappearance was reason enough for you to act, then with your ruthless nature, you wouldn't have waited until now," Blaze Regret said, standing over Snow Fazlin, looking down at him coldly. In his palm, a sharp ice blade appeared.
"The Blood Eagle Pavilion, it's the Blood Eagle Pavilion!"
Upon seeing the ice blade swirling with cold air in Blaze Regret's hand, Snow Fazlin's lips twitched. He then gritted his teeth and uttered a name completely unfamiliar to the residents of Velorian City.
"Blood Eagle Pavilion, what is that?" Sky Rodzi asked, furrowing his brow in confusion.
"Blood Eagle Pavilion, huh."
A faint glint of coldness flashed in Blaze Regret's eyes, and his expression gradually turned icy. They hadn't even left Velorian City yet, and someone was already unable to restrain themselves.
"A minion is still a minion, jumping higher than its master."
With the chilling ice blade held in a reverse grip, Blaze Regret slowly turned his head, gazing unemotionally in the direction of Snow Storm City. "The Kartis family's assessment should be starting soon. I've heard that achieving success in this assessment allows one to become the Kartis family's most loyal minion."
"Then, let's start with your Blood Eagle Pavilion."
The grand battle in Velorian City concluded with Blaze Regret severing one of Snow Fazlin's arms. This impressive confrontation quickly spread like wildfire across the neighboring towns, leaving a deep impression on all who heard of it.
Upon hearing the news, even the heads of some prominent families were left in stunned silence. As spirit masters themselves, they were well aware of how formidable a sixth tier spirit Lord master like Snow Fazlin could be. Yet, such a daunting figure was defeated by a mere youth.
Blaze Regret's mystical creature, Ethereal Lotus, also gained fame, with some places even exaggerating it into a ferocious beast of extreme savagery. Hearing such rumors, Blaze Regret could only chuckle helplessly and shrug his shoulders.
As for the Snow Family, they suffered a devastating blow. Their most fertile territories were swiftly taken over by the Blaze Family, while their more remote lands were quickly divided among the remaining families.
While Snow Fazlin and his associates struggled to survive in the shadows, it was clear to any astute observer that their days of prosperity were over. Not to mention the ruthless Blaze Peter, even Sky Rodzi and Met Intan had set their sights on the Snow Family.
It would not be long before this family was completely erased from existence in Velorian City.
Of course, Blaze Regret was not particularly concerned with any of this at the moment.
In the early morning, a biting cold wind blew past the room, swirling fine, icy snowflakes. A thick layer of snow had piled up in the courtyard outside Blaze Regret's door, and the heavy snowfall continued unabated, turning the landscape into a vast expanse of white. Discover more content at empire
"Whoosh!"
Seated on his bed, Blaze Regret squinted slightly as he exhaled a long breath of white mist, which slightly curled the fur of the creature in front of him, Red.
Red, curled up into a ball, clutched its fluffy tail and smacked its lips comfortably. In this weather, it seemed to have taken its love of sleep to a new level.
"The number of forces in Snow Storm City is indeed considerable."
Flipping through the thick ancient texts, Blaze Regret propped his chin with his hand and muttered to himself.
As the most prosperous region of the Sun Moon Empire, the sheer size of Snow Storm City was astonishing. Even a hundred Velorian Cities could scarcely compare, and even some vast mountain ranges were encompassed within its bounds.
This vastness naturally led to an innumerable number of both large and small factions within Snow Storm City.
While Blaze Regret was engrossed in his study of Snow Storm City, several unfamiliar figures, treading through the thick snow, entered Velorian City.
Leading the group was an old man, whose face bore an unmistakable air of arrogance the moment he stepped into Velorian City. The young men accompanying him displayed a constant sense of superiority on their faces.
"This is Velorian City? Indeed, a backwater place, barely any spirit lord masters around," one of the young men remarked disdainfully as he glanced around.
"Soul Ping, stop nitpicking. A small place is a small place; it can't compare to our Snow Storm City. Even a single spirit Lord master or a few spirit leaders here could cause a sensation," another young man commented with a chuckle.
