Chapter 222: Chapter 222 The Treasure Vault
"An audience?" Blaze Regret smirked. This Mon Dark really saw himself as some kind of local emperor.
Seeing Blaze Regret standing still, the spirit hunters burst into raucous laughter, evidently considering Blaze Regret a rare source of entertainment in their otherwise dull guard duty.
With cold, indifferent eyes, Blaze Regret's body moved suddenly. His palm, covered in pale yellow flames, forcefully pressed the head of the spirit hunter who had just spoken into the ground.
Witnessing this scene, the smiles on the faces of the laughing spirit hunters froze instantly.
Blaze Regret casually clapped his hands, not even glancing around, and walked straight into the courtyard. The remaining spirit hunters, trembling with fear, felt their legs go weak and did not dare to stop him.
"SSpirit Imperial Master..." one of the spirit hunters finally stammered after a long silence.
"That's Blaze Regret! Quickly inform the captain!" another spirit hunter, finally remembering Blaze Regret's identity, hurriedly took out a communication conch. Since the death of Mon Star, the Draconic Spirit Hunters no longer had any other Imperial grade spirit masters. Facing Blaze Regret, they had no outcome other than being instantly killed.
"Yes, once the captain returns, he will surely die!" a harsh voice echoed faintly at the front of the courtyard.
"Wait, why are there so many people up ahead?" one of the spirit hunters muttered as he noticed the rolling dust clouds in the distance. Before he could finish his sentence, countless attacks rained down, piercing their bodies with thousands of holes in an instant.
"Rebellion..." a spirit hunter standing atop a tall building looked at the crowd surging like a human tide, his face filled with terror. An ominous feeling pervaded his heart.
The treasure vault of the Draconic Spirit Hunters was located beneath the main hall. Blaze Regret easily made his way to the front of the vault door after interrogating a random spirit hunter.
"Break it open," Blaze Regret said lightly as he looked at the iron forged door ahead.
Clenching his fist tightly, a silver sheen flowed over it. The Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros stomped forward, its massive iron fist carrying a violent force that smashed through the door with a loud crash.
After a few more punches, the Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros gave the door a gentle push, causing the tattered door to fall backward.
"Damn!"
As the dust settled, Blaze Regret couldn't help but curse at the sight inside the vault. Piles of gold coins, resembling small mountains, filled the entire vault. A rough estimate put the number at no less than a million!
Swallowing lightly, Blaze Regret stepped inside without a second thought and quickly opened his void Realm Stone, stuffing all the gold coins into it.
With the gold coins gone, the once crowded vault became spacious, leaving only a few wooden shelves placed in the corners.
"What a waste," Blaze Regret muttered as he walked to the wooden shelves. Seeing a few dried spirit herbs, he frowned slightly. Apart from the gold coins, it seemed like Mon Dark didn't have much else of value.
"Ding!"
At that moment, a crisp sound rang from Blaze Regret's second spiritual portal. The usually calm Ice Control Irenix suddenly became restless.
Raising his eyebrows in confusion, Blaze Regret waved his hand, and the Ice Control Irenix appeared, emitting a chilly aura that swirled around the vault.
As soon as it appeared, the Ice Control Irenix flapped its crystalline wings and flew to a withered spirit herb. A beautiful ice lotus quickly emerged beneath it.
"Hmm?" A trace of surprise flashed in Blaze Regret's eyes. This ice lotus was formed from the lifelong spiritual power of the Ice Lotus Sage and had been lurking in his spiritual portal. Apart from unintentionally saving him once before, it had remained inactive. Now, it had reappeared on its own.
The ice lotus slowly rotated, and the withered spirit herbs on the wooden shelf rapidly disintegrated, turning into a thin icy mist that flowed into the ice lotus, leaving only some residue scattered on the ground.
"Buzz!"
After absorbing the essence of those spirit herbs, the petals of the ice lotus seemed to tremble slightly, showing faint signs of blooming.
Seeing this, Blaze Regret's eyes flickered. In the Ice Crystal Cave, Master Magi had mentioned that this ice lotus could be used by the Ice Control Irenix to help it break through, but it had not yet matured.
"Could it be that it needs some kind of catalyst?" Blaze Regret's eyes lit up as he picked up the residue on the ground and sniffed it lightly.
"So it's Ice Bamboo Flower," Blaze Regret said with a smile of delight on his face.
Flicking the residue of the Ice Bamboo Flower from his hand, Blaze Regret did not hesitate and quickly looted the entire vault. Besides the gold coins, the vault contained mostly healing pills, which were something he was in dire need of.
Stepping out of the vault with large strides, Blaze Regret smelled the scent of blood in the air and shook his head slightly. The tables had turned; the Draconic Spirit Hunters had once been arrogant and ruthless, killing other spirit hunters at will. Now, they were finally getting their comeuppance.
Lying on the back of the Ice Control Irenix, Blaze Regret was carried into the sky, streaking like a pale blue beam of light towards the shops in Hildan Town.
The Ice Bamboo Flower got its name because it only grew in the habitats of a spirit beast known as the Ice Bamboo Spirit. These spirit beasts were extremely fond of a substance called Ice Condensation Dew, which experienced spirit hunters used to lure them away, allowing them to harvest the Ice Bamboo Flowers extensively.
However, the price of Ice Condensation Dew is extremely expensive, usually costing tens of thousands of gold coins per bottle. But now that Blaze Regret was flush with cash, he didn't care much and bought several bottles. Then, along with Red, he headed out of Hildan Town.
