"Gradually, the distance between the two groups widened until they eventually vanished into a tiny black dot on the horizon.

A collective sigh of relief escaped Rojen and his crew aboard the pirate ship. In that moment, avoiding trouble felt like the best possible outcome.

The pirate ship sailed smoothly afterward. About three hours later, an island appeared on the horizon. Rojen quickly ordered the pirates to dock, and within fifteen minutes, they reached the port.

'Fred, you're safe now.'

Rojen approached Fred, a genuine smile illuminating his face.

'Rojen, thank you. You saved us all.'

Fred's voice was filled with heartfelt gratitude, his expression mirroring his deep appreciation. Behind him, most of the others looked relieved, while a few hung their heads in shame.

They had initially planned to report Rojen to the Marines, but fate had intervened, and it was Rojen who had come to their rescue.

Most ordinary people possess good hearts, and naturally, they feel a pang of guilt.

"Now that we're here, let's part ways for the time being."

"If our paths cross again in the future, we'll meet once more."

Rojen spoke firmly, though an unsettling feeling tugged at his heart. He couldn't quite pinpoint the source, but it urged him to leave quickly.

Furthermore, the pirate ship was no longer a suitable option for him.

"This intuition… it's a strange combination of Ye Wen's mindset and Ge Nie's essence."

"Where is this feeling coming from?"

Rojen was perplexed, but he couldn't ignore it. Martial artists often spoke of sudden flashes of insight, and such feelings were often harbingers of something significant.

However, he was focused on bidding farewell to Fred and the others, so he pushed the feeling aside for the moment.

After about an hour, all the merchants had completed their transactions, and Rojen returned their goods. After parting ways with Fred and the others, the pirate ship trembled and surged forward, sending sprays of water flying as it sped away.

"Captain, where are we going now?"

The remaining twenty or so pirates on board looked anxious, their eyes filled with apprehension.

Even though Ge Nie's presence had faded, the aura he left behind still lingered, giving Rojen an air of a hidden expert that made the pirates wary and unable to fully assess his true strength.

"Just sail in the direction opposite of Loguetown," Rojen replied quietly, his eyes flashing with determination.

Then, he turned his attention away from the pirates and gazed out at the calm sea ahead.

Under the sunlight, the water sparkled, but Rojen sensed something beneath the surface— a brewing storm and turbulent currents lurking in the depths.

"It doesn't seem so calm after all."

He murmured, and suddenly, a jolt of realization struck him.

"Wait!"

He recalled the two Marine ships that had passed by earlier, and his eyes widened in understanding.

"It's those two warships!"

"There must be powerful people on those ships!"

"That's why Ge Nie and Ye Wen's instincts warned me of danger!"

With the pieces falling into place, Rojen felt a wave of relief wash over him. Now that he understood the source of the danger, he could prepare to face it.

"Captain, there's an island ahead. Should we stop for supplies?"

After three hours of sailing, a pirate approached, frustration etched on his face.

It had been nearly a day since they last ate, and the constant pressure of being around someone like Rojen was taking its toll on the pirates. Their physical strength had been rapidly draining, and they were now extremely hungry.

"Keep sailing," Rojen replied coldly, then turned his attention back to his thoughts.

The pirates' faces fell further. Some wanted to voice their concerns but were quickly silenced by their comrades, retreating in fear.

Rojen paid no mind to their unease, as he was focused on assessing the gains from Ge Nie's possession.

"Possession coins: 5600."

Seeing that number, Rojen's eyes widened in surprise.

When Ye Wen possessed those lesser foes, he only gained a few hundred coins. But after dealing with the Sordes Pirates, he had unexpectedly acquired 5600!

"Ge Nie truly is remarkable," Rojen muttered, then began to examine Ge Nie's skills.

"Ghost Valley Unhindered Sword Method, Hundred Steps Flying Sword!"

"Rainbow Abyss!"

"Rainbow Penetrates the Sun!"

Ge Nie's skills were few in number, but each was extraordinarily powerful, far surpassing Ye Wen's abilities. This was largely due to the martial arts dimension of Legend of Qin being far more advanced than Ye Wen's.

"After reviewing these three skills, I realize that 5600 possession coins aren't actually that much!"

Rojen sighed wryly.

These skills were undeniably potent. Mastering them would make one comparable to a pirate with a bounty of 20 to 30 million in the One Piece world. Such strength would place one firmly in the mid-tier of East Blue and could even allow entry into the Grand Line.

"Hundred Steps Flying Sword, 3500!"

"Rainbow Abyss, 2000!"

"Rainbow Penetrates the Sun, 3000!"

Rojen licked his dry lips in frustration. He wanted to learn all three skills, but he was far from the required possession coins.

"Having sword arts without a sword is useless."

"This means I can only choose between Hundred Steps Flying Sword and Rainbow Penetrates the Sun!"

It was a tough decision. Hundred Steps Flying Sword was the pinnacle technique of the Unhindered Sword Method, while Rainbow Penetrates the Sun was a sword skill personally crafted by Sword Saint Ge Nie. Both were incredibly powerful.

After a moment of contemplation, Rojen decided on Hundred Steps Flying Sword and Rainbow Abyss.

"Deducting five thousand five hundred possession coins, congratulations to the host for learning Hundred Steps Flying Sword and Rainbow Abyss!"

The cold, mechanical voice echoed in his mind, and Rojen felt a wave of dizziness wash over him. A torrent of information flooded into his consciousness, merging seamlessly with his being.

In just a few breaths, Rojen opened his eyes, and in his right hand appeared a long sword. The blade was translucent, unmistakably the renowned sword Rainbow Abyss!

"Hundred Steps Flying Sword!"

"Instantly mastered."

Rojen murmured, his eyes shining with a brilliant sword intent.

This was the first time he had learned a skill granted by the Possessed System, and it was the first time he truly grasped the system's power. Previously, the state of mind skills was manageable, but this time, a martial art that would typically require countless repetitions to master was instantly acquired.

"Unfortunately, I lack an internal merit heart method!"

"With my current physical condition, combined with these sword arts, I can only exert the power of a pirate with a bounty of around 15 million!"
