Strongest Necromancer System

The assassin brought its hands forward, and multiple tiny mana blades formed at the tip of its fingers before it slowly carved a circular opening into the glass panel. The assassin got rid of the panel before reaching inside and slowly unlocking the latch holding the window shut, and the window slowly swung open. The assassin looked around the large room with deep yellow eyes. There was a sense of urgency in its body as it searched for any sign of danger, and once it realised that there was nothing there, it slowly stepped into the room.

'I have two minutes before the guards come back around to check on the prince. First, I need to kill his maid to make sure she doesn't follow me. One cut should be enough to drop her, then a stab to the prince's neck will end him.'

The assassin reached behind it and produced a long blade coated in the poison of the S-Rank pufferfish. One cut from the blade would be enough to paralyse anyone below SS-Rank, and if you were stabbed with it, there was absolutely no chance of survival! The silhouette reached the end of the room where Kai's bed was, and it raised the dagger to stab Fritz first, but it was shocked when Fritz's eyes suddenly snapped open, and she drew a sword and turned around sharply!

Clang!

A long sound echoed through the room as her sword slammed against the poison knife, and Fritz was on her feet in no time as she stood defensively in front of Kai's body! What the hell was going on!? Fritz had been sleeping soundly a moment ago, but she suddenly felt like her life was in danger, and that was what forced her to wake up! Normally, Fritz would have never even noticed the assassin's presence, but she was currently on very high alert since she was feeling a lot of guilt over what had happened to the prince before! So there was nothing that would get past her at this moment!

But once Fritz stood up, another problem suddenly presented itself to her! She couldn't see anyone in the room! Fritz knew without a doubt that there was someone here; she had felt her sword slam into a blade earlier, so she knew that she wasn't alone! But she couldn't see them!

'Are they using some sort of camouflage artefact? This is bad. I can't leave to call for backup, and the assassin might get past me to attack Kai! What can I do?'

Fritz felt dread filling her chest as she felt like she was about to fail again! The assassin standing opposite her narrowed its eyes in irritation when Fritz blocked its way, and it waited to see what Fritz was going to do next. Fritz had blocked one attack, but that didn't mean that she could see the assassin, and once the assassin saw Fritz looking around with a frantic expression on her face, it realised that Fritz had just been lucky that first time! The assassin immediately held the poison dagger in a reverse grip and dashed forward—!

"You know, I thought there'd be at least five of you. I'm a little disappointed."

"!"

Fritz felt her eyes widen when she heard that voice, and she felt shock pass through her as she recognized it! The assassin turned around sharply, and it took a step back when it saw Jason sitting on a chair on the opposite end of the room. Jason stared the invisible assassin down with deep blue eyes. His legs were crossed, and he was leaning back on the chair and drinking a glass of wine like this was just another day. The assassin could feel its heartbeat speeding up once it saw Jason! Where had he come from!? The assassin knew that Jason hadn't been there a second ago! He looked around the whole room, and he didn't see anyone!

'And how can he see me!? I'm using a camouflage artefact to blend in perfectly! No one should be able to see me!'

Shink!

A knife suddenly pressed against the assassin's neck, and the assassin felt its entire body lock up as it realised there was another assassin standing behind it! Jason glanced at Fritz, and he smiled and waved his hand for her to relax. Fritz was still a little confused about how Jason managed to get in here at all, but she could see the confidence in his eyes, and that allowed her to calm down a little. Thankfully, Kai was so tired that he slept through the whole thing, so all they had to do was get rid of the assassin. Jason stood up calmly before speaking to the assassin.

"Did you really think it would be that easy to kill my brother when I'm right here? You really thought you could sneak into his room and stab him right under my nose? I would have expected something like this from a second-rate mage, but I never thought Zod would be so stupid."

The assassin's eyes widened once it heard the name 'Zod' and even Fritz turned to Jason in shock! What did Jason mean by 'Zod'!? Was he talking about the General of the guards!?

The assassin could feel sweat go down its brow, and it decided at that moment that it had to kill itself! If the assassin was the only one being exposed, then it could have tried to escape since it wouldn't involve its employer. But now that it knew that Jason knew this much, then it had to get rid of all the evidence that could connect it to Zod! The assassin immediately used its tongue to search through its teeth, and it brought out a small pellet from behind its molar! The pellet was a poison pill that all assassins carried with them, and all they had to do was bite down on the pill to commit suicide if their mission failed miserably! The assassin opened its mouth and brought its teeth down hard!

Crack!

But a hand suddenly appeared between the assassin's teeth, and the assassin felt its teeth crack as it bit against skin that was as hard as steel! The assassin looked up in shock to see that Jason was standing right in front of it, and he was the one who put his fingers between the assassin's teeth. Jason grabbed the assassin's jaw and held its mouth open as he spoke.

"You're not going to take your life that easily. I have use for you, so let me do the honors."

Alpha's hand blurred forward, and she plunged her dagger into the assassin's neck in one move!

SQUELCH!

The assassin choked as it felt an intense surge of blood pour out from its mouth, and Jason held it up by its jaw and made sure to keep his eyes locked with it as it choked on blood! The assassin's camouflage faded to reveal that it was a female wearing all black with a cloth mask that covered her lower face, and she was looking at Jason with terrified eyes as the life slowly left her body! Behind the assassin, Fritz watched on with a terrified gaze as she saw the brutality on display. Fritz was no stranger to death, and she knew that taking a life was something normal in the world of mages and magic, but this was the first time Fritz would see a man look so unshaken while murdering someone in cold blood! Jason's face was painted with an unnatural calmness as he watched the assassin die right in front of him, and there was a small tilt on his lips that showed that he was entertained by this; it was the same expression you would see on the face of a king who was watching his court jester perform for him!

'How many people do you have to see die before you can become this calm while killing someone?'
