Jason raised his hand curiously as he felt a strange sensation travelling across his body and Jason could feel his mana surging through him in a completely different pattern. Now that Jason was in the TITAN Rank, his physical and magical states were going through an evolution that every mage on the path to immortality experienced. The power of those in the TITAN Rank and above was far too great for those in the mortal rankings and below to face, so their magic carried out a special evolution that would allow them to suppress their own power and prevent it from going out of control and harming those around them! This same phenomenon was also present for those in both the PRIMORDIAL Rank as well as those in the CELESTIAL Rank, but those in the CELESTIAL Rank were so powerful that even after suppressing their power, the remnants that leaked out of their body were still capable of destroying entire worlds just from their presence alone and that is why they were so feared across the Primordial Expanse!

But as someone who was just in the TITAN Rank, Jason didn't have to worry about the remnants of his power causing any lasting damage to those around him, and as his power transformed, he could feel some sort of great door blocking his power from flowing out of his body as it usually would. But Jason could tell that he was the one in control of that door, and if he wanted, he could open it at any moment to unleash his power. Jason looked out on the battlefield below him, and he decided to test out just what sort of effects his power would have on those around him. Jason sent a message to the system, and the system responded immediately.

The effects were instantaneous! At one moment, the battlefield was raging with cries of battle and the sounds of explosions, and at the next moment, there was silence as a sudden pressure fell upon the battlefield! The humans from Varigan felt a sense of uncontrollable fear surge through them, and some of them even fell to their knees while breathing heavily! Those who managed to stay on their feet looked up at Jason with wide, disbelieving eyes! Even Jason's own subordinates, as well as the Lynx that were meant to be mindless beasts, couldn't help but be drawn in by the sheer power that they felt shoot across the battlefield! Jason had only unleashed his power for a split second, but that second was all Jason needed to bring everything around him to a halt!

'Don't waste the chance.'

Jason suddenly sent a message to his subordinates when he saw that most of the enemies were stunned, and his subordinates immediately roared into action as they launched a new wave of attacks on the enemies! Gina had a wide smile on her face as she realised that Jason had also grown in this brief battle! Gina might have finally reached SSS-Rank, but Jason had gotten to a level where she couldn't even describe his power anymore! Gina pulled her hand back with conviction, and she unleashed a massive amount of mana to gather the wind behind her! The wind formed into a massive arrow that soared through the sky like the vengeance of a wrathful god, and when Gina brought her hand down, the arrow split the sky asunder and flew straight for the giant Pharynx!

WOOSH!!

The wind arrow flew true, and the Pharynx brought up its tentacles and twisted them into a makeshift shield to try and protect itself from the assault! The arrow slammed into the shield with extraordinary force, and Gina let out a deep roar as she pushed her mana even further! By rising in the hierarchy, Gina had gained an insane amount of mana all of a sudden, so she knew that she didn't have to manage her mana at all, and she poured everything she could spare into the attack! The Pharynx let out a screech as it felt the arrow pushing it back, and the Pharynx suddenly felt its concentration slip as the Sovereign appeared from behind and let out a massive flaming slash that tore through its back!

PHWOOM!

The Pharynx cried out in pain, and Gina let out a louder roar as she finally pushed through the Pharynx's defences, and her wind arrow slammed into its body! The arrow tore through the left side of the beast and eradicated more than three of its tentacles at the same time, and Jason grinned in pride when he saw the sheer destruction that Gina had accomplished! Gina wasn't the most powerful member of his Legion yet, but at the pace she was growing, Jason knew it was only a matter of time before she reached the apex! Jason was about to tell his subordinates to finish the Pharynx off once and for all, but he stopped when he sensed something shift in the air! The Pharynx let out a sudden pulse of mana that echoed through the region like a sonic wave, and everyone around it was suddenly pushed back by the intense mana! The side of the Pharynx that had been torn off by Gina's attack began to regenerate at an insane pace and Jason narrowed his eyes when he saw the Pharynx growing even larger!

'What the hell is it doing? Is this some second phase or something? Wait, this isn't mana, it feels different. It's just pure energy. This bastard had been absorbing energy from the core of this planet for a long time, don't tell me it's consuming that energy to make itself stronger.'

Jason narrowed his eyes at the beast as this thought crossed his mind, and even though he didn't know it, Jason was right. The Pharynx was a beast that had been created for one purpose, and one purpose alone. It was to go to a world and absorb as much energy as possible from that world's core, and once there was no more energy to absorb, it would take that energy back to its creator before moving on to another world. But in the event that the Pharynx was cornered in a world and stuck in a situation where it was struggling for its life, the Pharynx had been granted permission to prioritize its own survival above everything else! And it was allowed to utilize any means to accomplish this task, even if it had to consume the energy it had been harvesting!
