Chapter 421: An Easy Mission
This group of three Trivators was part of the same colony, and they were being led by the Trivator in front. They had been pulled here by Evon's constant screaming, and the moment they set their eyes on Evon, they realized that this was fresh meat! This would be enough food to feed the children for the next few days at least!
ROARRRRR!!
The Trivator in front roared in dominance as it began to approach, but the Trivator suddenly stopped when it heard something loud and maniacal coming from Evon! Evon bent backwards until her head was almost touching the water, and she screamed into the sky!
"Animals! Animals! Animals dare to stand before me!? Kill! Kill! KILL!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The Trivators weren't intelligent enough to understand speech, but they were more than capable of understanding actions. And from what they could see right now, the Trivators realized that there was something seriously wrong with this creature! The Trivator leading the others took a half step back once it saw Evon screaming, and it felt a jolt of fear pass through its body when Evon suddenly turned sharply towards them and spoke with wide eyes!
"Enemies. Enemies. Friends. Enemies. You are working with them! You are on their side! You are my friends! Why are you working with them!? Enemies! Enemies! You can make me complete! This world can make me complete! Complete! COMPLETE!!"
The Trivator in the lead suddenly roared to its followers and told them to run away from there, and all three of them began to run as they saw an inky blackness spreading out from Evon's body and flashing over the Ropal sky! The Trivators looked up with fear in their eyes as they ran desperately! They were the fastest land animals in the world, but no creature could outrun the darkness, and the last thing the Trivator's heard was Evon's mad laughter before they were consumed by the shadows!

[Inside the Diamond Bear Cave]
BOOM!
An intense tremor traveled through the cave as one of the superhumans let off an explosion that pushed back a large Diamond Bear Guard! Francis used his bracelets as projectiles to slam into one of the bears, and he watched as his Moonlight Wolf dashed out from the side and used the temporary distraction to finally grab the bear by the neck and bite down hard!
Crunch!
Francis let out a tired breath, and he looked around at all the other fighters. They had been doing this for the better part of two hours now, and Francis could tell that they were almost done with the Gate. Normally, a gate like this wouldn't have been a problem for Francis and some of the other guild members at all, since this was only an Orange Gate. The Boss of this Gate was somewhere between high-level A Rank and low-level S Rank, and Francis knew that if he wanted to, he could handle the Boss all on his own! But what was really stressful about this situation wasn't that the monsters were stronger than them; instead, it was the fact that there were so many monsters!
The Alpha Squad had run into more than eighty bears in this cave already! There were two types of bears, the diggers and the guards. The diggers were bears with large diamond claws that allowed them to tear through the cave walls with ease! Those claws were insanely sharp, and Francis knew that even though they wouldn't cause any serious damage, taking a hit from them would still be very painful! But it was the guards who were really dangerous! The Diamond Bear Guards had a special ability called [Camouflage] that allowed them to blend perfectly into the cave wall by allowing their diamond skin to reflect light at a certain angle! This meant that the Bear Guards were very good at launching surprise attacks from hidden spots, and there had been many times when a superhuman would almost be taken out by one of those surprise attacks if not for Jason's subordinate helping out.
The camouflage was probably the most irritating ability that the bears had, and Francis knew that they would've gotten to the boss room a long time ago, and they would already be done with this Gate if not for that. But it was almost like every time they thought they were done with the mobs, a new group of monsters would appear out of nowhere, and they'd have to take care of it before they could keep moving!
'But we're doing pretty well for such a small group. It'll be suicide for any other guild to send only ten members into an Orange Gate.'
Francis smiled slightly when he had this thought, and he looked around at all the guild members who were either finishing off a monster or taking a breather after a fight. One of the superhumans was stabbing his sword into the head of a bear, and the camernun was putting her video camera close to the head to capture everything like she was taking some sort of fucking serial killer documentary! Didn't she know this video was going on the internet? They would definitely have to find someone to edit it so the internet mobs wouldn't come for them. But Francis knew that almost no one would believe that they had done this if not for that video. It was completely abnormal for any guild to go into an Orange Gate with only ten members! Even the BloodRaven Guild which had been the strongest in America, would send at least thirty members into an Orange Gate to make sure that they could take care of all the monsters properly. But thanks to Jason's subordinates covering for their lack of numbers, the Monarch Guild had more than enough manpower!
One of the Monarch guild members, an A Rank named Genny, who could release sonic waves from her mouth and use it to damage enemies, was currently fighting against one of the last Diamond Bear Guards! The bear was using its camouflage skill to try to escape, but one of the subordinates that were assigned to her was a Radagan Dragonborn, and he released a wave of fire from his sword that swept through the area! The bear was forced to release its skill as it roared in agitation, and the woman unleashed a sonic wave that slammed into its side and threw it back! The bear's diamond skin cracked from the attack, and an Adamantine Ant rushed in from the side and used its superior strength to slam into the bear! There was so much power behind that attack that the bear couldn't even try to defend against it, and it slouched against the wall and died! The woman whooped and gave a high five to the Radagan Soldier who helped her before she pet the Adamantine Ant when it came closer with a victorious screech!
Francis smiled at the show of camaraderie, and he knew that with how well things were going, their guild would definitely be one of the strongest in the world very soon. If they cleared this gate, they would gain more recognition out there, and that would make more people want to join their guild. Once that happens, they'd gain a monopoly over the various high-level Gates opening around the country, and it'll make getting Gate Dive contracts from the government far easier.
ROARRRR!
A loud roar suddenly came from deeper inside the cave, and Francis felt everyone tense as they realized what that roar was. It was the Gate boss! But the tension that they were all feeling wasn't from fear or even nervousness; instead, it was a strange excitement! Francis looked around, and he saw that any one of them here could possibly take on the boss with almost no help since they were all S Rank, so Francis decided to follow Jason's orders from earlier. Jason had already predicted that the gate boss wouldn't be difficult for the Guild members, so he told Francis to pick out the Guild member who looked like they needed the most experience and put them against the Gate boss, while the other Guild members would wait for them to finish. This way, there won't be any arguments over who needs to handle the Gate boss, and the least experienced members of the Guild would be able to gain more experience.
