Strongest Incubus System

Chapter 91: Her entire body was burning.

The air inside the cave seemed increasingly dense, heavy, as if each breath they took was consuming all the available oxygen. Ester, still pressed against Damon, felt her heart hammering in her chest as if trying to escape. The fire crackled low, casting dancing shadows that sometimes hid, sometimes revealed, the contours of their entwined bodies.

But it was when the intensity of the kisses took her breath away that she reacted. Suddenly, her hands pressed against his chest, not hard enough to hurt him, but with the desperate determination of someone needing to breathe. The movement pushed him away a few inches, just enough for their lips to part.

Ester gasped.

Her face was burning, her lips wet and swollen, her breathing rapid and ragged. Her eyes—normally cool, controlled, and sharp as razors—were now clouded, clouded by a heat she dared not name. The contrast between the calculating woman she had always been and the vulnerable vision Damon saw before him was devastating.

The blush spread not only across her cheeks, but also down her neck, down to her cleavage. Her skin, previously marked by the chill of the storm, now burned with an almost unbearable intensity. Each breath made her chest heave in rapid waves, and her heart felt ready to leap into her throat.

Damon stood still for a few seconds, simply staring.

And there she was. Ester Deathstriker, the woman who hid every trace of femininity behind armor, heavy clothing, and a posture of absolute ice, now naked, panting, flushed, desperately trying to compose herself.

And by pulling away, by pushing him away, she revealed more than she intended.

Her entire body was revealed to his gaze.

The flickering flame illuminated her fair skin, marked only by thin scars—reminders of ancient battles that only highlighted the harshness of her life. Her firm, full bust rose and fell with the uneven rhythm of her breathing, each movement creating shadows and lights that danced across her skin. It was a stark contrast: the vulnerability of her nakedness against the strength and discipline that had always defined her.

Her delicate shoulders, the soft line of her neck, the well-defined collarbone—every detail seemed designed to awaken in him a hunger other than mere survival. The contours of her waist, narrow and defined, led naturally to the curves of her hips, creating a harmony he would never have imagined beneath the heavy clothing she always wore.

Ester caught his gaze.

Her eyes widened for a moment, before narrowing in anger and shame. She instinctively crossed her arms over her chest, trying to cover herself, but the gesture only served to draw Damon's attention even further. The blush on her cheeks deepened, and she looked away, biting her lower lip hard.

"Don't you dare... look like that..." she said, her voice trembling, almost a whisper.

But Damon didn't obey.

Even weak, even still recovering, his eyes didn't leave hers. There was desire, of course, but also something deeper: a genuine fascination, as if he'd finally discovered her best-kept secret.

"You're... unbelievable," he murmured, his voice husky, deep, and filled with heat.

Ester felt her stomach churn, not with revulsion, but with nervousness. The intensity of his gaze was overwhelming. It was as if he were stripping her not only of the fabric, but of the layers of coldness and perfectionism she'd cultivated her entire life.

She tried to steel her expression, but her rapid breathing betrayed her. Her heaving chest, her sweaty skin, her tense muscles… every part of her body screamed vulnerability.

Damon smiled. A slow, crooked smile, full of mischief.

"And to think that perfect little Ester Deathstriker… looked like this, under all those layers of clothing." Her drawl held its usual teasing, but there was a sincere glint in her eyes.

"Shut up," she replied immediately, her tone louder than intended, but sounding more like a desperate plea than an order.

Damon lifted a trembling hand and, with his still-weak fingers, brushed the side of her arm, slowly moving up until he reached her shoulder. The touch was light, almost hesitant, but enough to make her shiver.

"I won't shut up," he murmured, his eyes fixed on hers. "Not when you're like this, beautiful... and trying to hide it from me."

She looked away, biting her lip again.

The silence that followed was cut only by the sound of their breathing. The cave seemed smaller, the fire hotter, and the space between them, even widened by the push, was still too small to contain the tension.

Ester knew she should move further away, get dressed, put up the barriers again. But her body wouldn't obey. Her legs trembled, her hands were cold, and the only thing she could feel was the weight of his gaze on every exposed detail.

"Stop looking at me like that…" she said, her voice low, almost a whisper.

Damon tilted his head, the crooked smile returning to his lips. "Then tell me to close my eyes."

Ester blinked, surprised by the boldness of his response. He was playing with her again. Challenging her, prodding her rationality.

But she said nothing.

Her silence was the answer.

And Damon knew it.

He moved slightly, moving closer again, but slowly, as if giving her a chance to back away. His fingers, still resting on her shoulder, slid across her warm skin until they touched the curve of her collarbone. The touch was gentle, almost reverent, but charged with intent.

"You have no idea… how much I wanted to see this," he murmured, his voice deep, husky, so close that his warm breath brushed her ear.

Ester shivered violently, hugging her arms to her chest, trying to shield herself from his gaze, his touch, his effect.

But deep down, she already knew: the barrier of ice she had built for years was melting, and it was Damon who was fueling the flames consuming her from within.

She took a deep breath, trying to regain control, but each inhale only brought back his scent, his heat, the memory of his mouth against hers.

Her entire body was burning.
