Strongest Demigod System

Chapter 14: New Quest

Azrael turned back to the system tab and opened up the last tab that was there. This tab also showed another gift from Thanatos and the system wrote out a message once the tab came forward.

Thanatos has granted the user the Artefact [Divine Storage - EX]

Divine Storage: This is a storage space measuring a thousand cubic meters in volume. It can hold any non-living thing that possesses Divine Essence within it. Thanatos has instructed the user to use this as a storage space for his sword and any other artifact he collects.

Effects of Divine Storage:

Weightless: The user will not be held down by the weight of whatever is inside the divine storage.

Omnipresence: The divine storage can be called on at any given time, regardless of where the user is.

Azrael read through the message quickly and he was surprised by how useful the new Artefact was! Azrael fully expected Thanatos to try and take his left arm in exchange for something like this, but surprisingly, Thanatos didn't even bother to ask for anything in return! He was just giving him something this impressive!

And the craziest part was the fact that the Artefact was EX ranked! Finding an EX Rank artifact in this world was close to impossible! The highest-graded artifact that anyone has ever seen in the mortal plane was an A-ranked Artefact that was being held at a museum and shown to students during excursions! If anyone heard that Azrael was just gifted an EX Artefact like this, there would be a mad scramble to try and buy it off him!

Stab!

"Fuck!"

Azrael suddenly felt something like a needle prick his hand and he looked down to see that there was some sort of red coloration spreading across the wrist of his right hand! Azrael immediately took the glove off and his eyes widened as he saw that it wasn't just the wrist that had been turned red! It was the entire hand!

The hand looked like it was put in a bath of boiling oil! The skin was red and there was a dull throb that Azrael could feel every few seconds as the skin's condition spread further up his arm!

What the fuck was this?

Necrosis?

Ding!

Another system message appeared in Azrael's vision and Azrael immediately turned to it.

Azrael's eyes widened in shock once he saw all of this! Azrael thought he would at least have some time to think about how to go about what he had to do! Or maybe he would be able to arrange a plan that would allow him to kill someone without anyone finding out about it! But the system was telling him that he had to kill someone right now!

Azrael looked down at his hand with a frown on his face and he closed his eyes, took a breath, and put on his gloves once more.

There was no point in lamenting his rotten luck. With how low his luck stat was, Azrael already expected something like this to happen to him! Since he had no choice but to take a life right now, Azrael was going to have to go for the best victim he could think of.

Azrael headed toward his backpack and grabbed it off the ground before taking out a black cloth. It was long and wide enough to be folded into a facemask, and since this was all Azrael had, he had to make do with it.

Azrael put on the mask and he tightened his hand against the sheath of Oathkeeper as he felt it vibrating in bloodlust. The blade was fucking hungry and it was urging Azrael forward to do what he had to do! Azrael put his backpack in a place where he could come back and get it from, and then he walked out of the alleyway in the direction Francis had gone.

"Did you see that idiot's face!? The fucking bastard thought he could win against three people with his fists! Hahaha!"

The sound of laughter echoed through an empty road leading to the dorms of the Divine Academy. On the road, Francis and his two friends walked aimlessly to try and waste as much time as possible outside before heading back to their rooms. The dorms in Divine Academy had a curfew of eleven o'clock, so they had about thirty minutes before they had to get back inside.

Francis was walking with his hands in his pockets and a scowl on his face as he halfheartedly listened to the rants from his lackeys. They were excited about what they had just done to Azrael, but Francis was not the least bit happy! That bastard Azrael had almost beaten him!

Even though they ended up beating Azrael, Francis couldn't forget the fact that Azrael had almost overpowered him in a brief moment! Even with Francis using his God Aspect and the fact that Azrael was tired from working out, how in the world did Azrael manage to overpower him!?

'Did the fucking bastard lie about having a God Aspect? Maybe he has something related to strength and he's just hiding it from everyone. He's a child of darkness, so I wouldn't put it past him to do something that underhanded.'

Thoughts like these filtered through Francis' mind as he tried to bring up an excuse for what happened earlier. Francis' pride had already taken a great hit when he got an A rank in the potential ranking earlier. Even though people had applauded him and cheered his high rank, he could tell that there were a lot of people who had been looking down on him. The only King that didn't get an S rank. That is what he was going to be!

Even the other two Kings, who he had been competing with for the top spot all this while, started to look down on him as well. Both Sunny and Jane were giving him looks of pity, and Francis could feel an inferno burning in his heart just from remembering the way they looked at him! They looked at him like he was some sort of reject!
