Chapter 134: Chapter 134 Naruto VS Boruto!
Boruto's argument made sense, and Naruto found himself listening intently.
It's like comparing a child wielding a gun to a sharpshooter doing the same. Although both can fire bullets, it's obvious the child would lose. This illustrates the impact of the user's skill.
"This trick can only perform Ninjutsu for now, and cannot perform Genjutsu and Taijutsu. If caught by someone else's Genjutsu, the Shinobi still needs to solve it themselves." Boruto added.
After hearing this, everyone suddenly understood.
This trick merely makes Ninjutsu easier to use, reducing training time but can't become a crutch. Otherwise, progress would stagnate, and against a real expert, the weaknesses would be painfully exposed, possibly even fatal.
'No wonder Boruto continued to train diligently here. Clearly, he was well-prepared.'
Naruto thought of it and said, " Alright then, let's all keep training as usual. I'll look into this trick further. Remember, it's just a tool, not something to overly rely on. And keep this matter confidential, understood?"
Everyone nodded in agreement. After all, if this technique became widespread, their advantage would be lost.
"Now that everyone understands, you're dismissed. Training resumes tomorrow!" Naruto waved his hand and was about to leave.
Boruto had come here to protect him, but once that duty was over, Boruto would leave. So, even if Naruto had other matters, he'd prioritize spending time with his son during this period.
Though, to this day, he still didn't know who the enemy was...
"Wait, everyone, hold on." Boruto called out, "You haven't answered my question. Was Naruto always this diligent? How does he compare to you all?'
Sasuke waved dismissively and said, "I already said this, Naruto's a real genius. He's achieved all this with minimal effort. How could he be more hardworking than us? One more thing, Naruto here? He's usually out wandering around, eating and drinking. He barely trains here."
"Sasuke, you…" Naruto hadn't expected Sasuke to expose him.
But before he could complain, Boruto said indignantly, "Just as I thought, all talk and no action."
"Have you forgotten what I just said? Everyone's talents are different. If you're ordinary but want to be strong, you have to work even harder. Life is inherently unfair."
Naruto pondered for a moment and said, "Aren't you skilled in using that trick? How about using it to perform any powerful Ninjutsu you like and spar with me. I won't use the Eight Gates. If you win, I won't argue with you anymore. If you lose, you'll have to listen to me."
"No problem!"
Boruto agreed immediately. He had never seen Naruto take action. However, Naruto was still very young, so even if he was very talented, Boruto felt that he would not be very strong without using the Eight Gates.
In addition, he could use Scientific Ninja Tools. As long as he used A-Rank Ninjutsu, Naruto was sure to lose.
Boruto's eyes flashed with a glimmer of excitement, though he quickly returned to a calm expression, "Before we begin, I have one request: we fight from a distance, a hundred meters apart. Agreed?"
Earlier, Sasuke had caught him off guard with a quick attack, so he wanted to ensure enough distance this time. And a hundred meters would give him plenty of opportunities to deploy his Scientific Ninja Tools.
But would things really go as planned?
Naruto took out two kunai from his pouch, handed one to Boruto while placing the other on the ground.
"I'll be right here. You can choose any position. Once you place your kunai on the ground, that signals the start."
"Any distance I choose?"
Boruto's face showed a hint of joy, though he quickly steadied himself, "No need, we agreed on a hundred meters, so it's a hundred meters. I'm not one to go back on my word or take advantage of someone."
With that, he dashed out to set his position.
Seeing this, Sasuke's mouth twitched slightly, "The moment the match begins, Boruto's going to lose."
"Why do you say so?" Neji was puzzled. It was impossible to reach a distance of a hundred meters instantly without using the Eight Gates.
"Just keep watching and you'll know. I never thought Naruto would be so crafty." Sasuke shook his head helplessly.
Meanwhile, as the two chatted, Boruto had reached the hundred-meter mark and placed his kunai into the ground.
Whoosh!
Before Boruto could activate his Scientific Ninja Tool, Naruto's index finger was already pressed lightly against his forehead.
Boruto was still frozen in place, his hand poised over the kunai he had just embedded in the ground.
"Boruto, you lost."
Naruto said calmly.
"This is impossible!"
Everyone present, except Sasuke, was stunned.
A hundred meters, closed in an instant.
They wondered how Naruto did it without using the Eight Gates. And so effortlessly at that. Typically, a sprint over that length would be hard to stop precisely.
"Sasuke, what exactly just happened?" Neji turned to look at Sasuke and asked in doubts.
Sasuke explained, "This is one of Naruto's Ninjutsu. Once he sets a mark, he can reach it in a flash."
"Mark? You mean that kunai he handed over?"
Neji quickly caught on.
He examined the kunai Naruto had given to Boruto and found a slip of paper with intricate symbols stuck to the hilt.
"No wonder you said Naruto was being crafty." Neji nodded in realization and couldn't help but say enviously, "Boruto is so lucky."
Naruto is obviously very powerful, but he still uses his scheming mind, which shows how much he values Boruto.
Meanwhile, Boruto stood frozen, Naruto's finger still on his forehead. Luckily, Boruto had a strong heart, otherwise, this sudden and ghostly move would have given him a fright.
"I lost." Boruto admitted, but he still didn't fully understand, "But how did you cover a hundred meters in an instant?"
If it was his master, the older Sasuke, he wouldn't question it. After all, the older Sasuke had the Rinnegan and could use Space-Time Ninjutsu.
But Naruto was still so young, so how could he possibly use Space-Time Ninjutsu?
Naruto smirked, put his hands behind his back, and said mysteriously, "A magician never reveals his secrets. You lost, so now you have to listen to me. No backing out."
By keeping a touch of mystery, Naruto knew he could captivate Boruto and earn his admiration.
But Boruto's persistent nature wouldn't let him rest until he understood.
Noticing Sasuke and Neji's knowing expressions, he turned to them, "You two definitely know the truth. Can you tell me?"
Sasuke was about to answer, but when he saw Naruto's deadly glare, he immediately adjusted his response, "Actually, we're not too sure ourselves. Naruto just blinked over to you, with no visible sprint. It's probably some Space-Time Ninjutsu."
"Space-Time Ninjutsu?" Boruto was extremely surprised.
The very possibility he had dismissed turned out to be correct.
But far from being disheartened, Boruto felt a growing admiration for Naruto. Being able to perform Space-Time Ninjutsu at such a young age, Naruto truly was amazing, the kind of father he could be proud of...
