“Who are those three people? I don’t think I’ve seen them around much.”

“I don’t know, maybe they’re freshmen.”

“Wow, having a nice car really pays off, he’s got two girls with him. Lucky guy!”

“Isn’t that guy Qing Mu from the freshman class?”

“How do you know him? Is he famous or something?”

“Are you kidding me? You don’t know? He hooked up with Miss Lin, a senior, on the first day of school, and she even got into a fight for him.”

“That’s impressive! He doesn’t even look that special. Could it be his wealth?”

“It’s possible. I used to wonder why Miss Lin was so interested in him, but now I get it. Apparently, he’s a low-key rich kid.”

“Can’t compete with that.”

As Qing Mu and the others got out of the car, bystanders assumed that the expensive vehicle belonged to Qing Mu. Little did they know that Qing Mu had no connection to the car; he had simply taken the wheel to ensure their safety.

Morning classes passed quickly.

In a dim underground palace.

Hades once again summoned Blood Soul.

“How is it? Have you mastered the new power you obtained?” Hades inquired.

Blood Soul knelt before Hades with utmost respect.

“Lord Hades, I have completely familiarized myself with this power. My combat abilities have reached unprecedented heights. With this power, I can assist Lord Hades in accomplishing even more tasks. It’s an honor to serve!”

“Very good,” Hades nodded in satisfaction. “In that case, I have a task for you.”

“Please, Lord Hades, command me!” Blood Soul eagerly responded.

Having gained such formidable power, Blood Soul was determined to prove his worth to Hades.

Hades explained, “That young man Qing Mu has already unsealed Decade Drive and obtained the power of Kamen Rider Decade. Ordinary lackeys wouldn’t stand a chance against him. So, this time, I want you to lead a team to confront Qing Mu personally. See if you can retrieve Decade Drive.”

Blood Soul, who had been excited moments ago, suddenly felt a sense of dread upon hearing Hades’s assignment.

“But Lord Hades, didn’t we decide to pit humans against Qing Mu and have them fight amongst themselves? Why do we suddenly need to confront Qing Mu directly?”

Blood Soul had never faced Kamen Rider Decade in battle, and he was unsure of the extent of Decade’s power.

Blood Soul couldn’t help but feel apprehensive about the mission Hades had assigned him. He sensed that the power Hades was so concerned about, even to the point of being irate, must be extremely formidable. He doubted his own ability to confront such a powerful force, even if it was in the hands of a young man. He didn’t want to throw his life away needlessly.

“Why? Because I refuse to!” Hades fumed with anger. “I was defeated by that Qin Yu, and he took away the most important thing to me. Now, facing his son, am I supposed to back down? I can’t even handle that little brat! What right do I have to call myself Hades!”

Hades’s anger continued to burn uncontrollably. He couldn’t tolerate the idea that even Qin Yu’s son might be able to force him to retreat. The thought of Qin Yu mocking him from another world fueled his rage.

In that moment, Hades was willing to confront Qing Mu directly, regardless of the potential damage to the Underworld organization’s strength.

Blood Soul was terrified, knowing that Hades would not tolerate any dissent at a time like this. If Blood Soul dared to disagree, he would likely meet a gruesome end right then and there.

So, he wisely chose to comply. “Understood, Lord Hades! I will follow your orders! I will retrieve Decade Drive and present it to you!”

Hades, slightly calmer now, waved his hand dismissively. “Very well, go.”

Blood Soul left the chamber and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. He realized that Hades had given him such a powerful item, the Fang Memory, for the sole purpose of using it against Qing Mu. The rewards from the boss were not easy to come by.

As he held the Fang Memory in his hand, Blood Soul mumbled to himself, “I hope your power won’t disappoint me.”

With that thought, Blood Soul began to make preparations for a series of plans targeting Qing Mu.

After leaving school, Qing Mu was stopped by a handsome and unfamiliar man who blocked his path. The man’s gaze was unwavering and somewhat unsettling.

“Do you have something to discuss with me?” Qing Mu asked, feeling uncomfortable under the intense scrutiny.

“I’d like to have a chat with you,” the man replied, his tone cool and distant, making him seem somewhat difficult to approach.

“I don’t know you, so what do we have to talk about?”

“Last night, I witnessed you eliminating that Worm. The target of that Worm was actually me.”

Qing Mu recalled the events of the previous night. “The Worm’s target was you? You were at the restaurant?”

The man smiled slightly, his smile as radiant as sunshine, even catching the attention of a passing girl. “I am Si Mu, the head chef of Mokuya Restaurant. Does my culinary skill still suit your taste?”

Although Si Mu was undeniably handsome and had a charming smile, Qing Mu wasn’t the type to swoon over a man. He regarded Si Mu with caution.

“Are you human, or a Worm, or something else entirely?”

“I am a Native. There is a distinction between Worms and Natives. While we come from the same place, our habits and personalities are completely different. We love peace and do not enjoy killing.”

“You are a Native?”

Qing Mu stared at the man in disbelief. If Si Mu’s true identity was a Native, then his current appearance was likely a mimicry of someone else. The original owner of this appearance might have been killed by this Native.

Natives and Worms were two similar yet distinct species that inhabited the same planet. They had nearly identical appearances and abilities. Both possessed the power to mimic the appearance and memories of others.

In their larval form, Natives were weak and virtually defenseless. Even ordinary humans could easily overpower a Native larva. However, when Natives evolved into their adult form, they underwent a significant transformation, with adults possessing combat abilities far surpassing those of Worms.

Because of their formidable combat capabilities, Natives were subject to limitations imposed by the Creator. Transitioning from larva to adult form was a challenge for Natives, much more so than for Worms. As a result, the number of Native adults was exceedingly rare, almost like finding a needle in a haystack.

In the original storyline of Kamen Rider Kabuto, Natives collaborated with humans to develop the Rider System to combat Worms because of their inherent weakness.

Si Mu’s revelation as a Native left Qing Mu intrigued and wary.
