StarTera: A Tensura Fanfic

It's been a couple of months since the charybdis fiasco went down, few things have happened since then. For one, we obtained a source of Styrofoam like material called Sarasa. A group of us took a trip to a large lake deep in the forest to gather some of it. We decided to just swim through the lake towards the Sarasa island in the middle, although I and a few other folks chose to sit on the backs of the two Tempest Wolves since I'm not exactly a floater let alone a swimmer. But as unfortunately we exounter the monster under the lake and things became.... uncomfortable to say the least. By the end of we gotten a grand sum of Sarasa, rimuru made a promise for more trips so the beast doesn't get lonely while I made a promise to name it at a later date. I would've like yo name it there and then to hopefully evolve it into a more humanoid for or just to be able to give it magic sense. But the size alone makes me think that it might take way too much magicules in the naming procedure, Wise Sage heavily agreed with me on that. At least I now know that the OVAs are also canon to this timeline

Fuse and the three stooges left soon after the incident with charybdis. Milim gotten here dragon knuckles to hopefully restrain her door breaking power. A month after charybdis, we finished our hellish training with milim and she left soon afterwards, likely to boast about having a bestie. I'm currently just waiting for the beginning of the next arc to begin. Basically rimuru remembering they made a promise to shizue and now needs to actually do something about it

For now I decided to stroll around the town hall, even with a skill that works as an eternal set of headphones, I still find myself quite bored since the sources of entertainment are quite limited.

I was in the middle of mindlessly strolling through the halls when I came across Benjamin in his office, trying out some noble looking coats

Kaijuno: trying on the latest trends?

Benjamin: I'm just trying out the outfits for my upcoming envoy trip

Kaijuno: envoy trip?

Benjamin: Yes, Rimuru-Sama assigned me and a couple other folks to represent Tempest in the diplomatic envoy trade meeting in eurazania

Kaijuno: I see, I guess rimuru wants to make preparations really early

Bejamin: I say we're more right scheduled since I will depart in less than a week

Kaijuno: ...less than a week?

Benjamin: Yes

Kaijuno: okay, I'll be heading out then

Benjamin: have a good day Kaijuno-Sama

Kaijuno: You too

*Later that night at Kaijuno's household*

Kaijuno: .... LESS THAN A WEEK!?

Kaijuno:(How the heck did this happen!? The whole start of the diplomatic relationship with eurazania wasn't supposed to start til the beginning of season two. Rimuru seemed to be pretty late in his teaching time by then that he had to take a few days off for it and yet it's happening before they even head out to teach at the academy. Was this some sort of butterfly effect that I caused? What your thoughts on this Wise Sage?)

Wise Sage:[Answer: it could be a possibility that production of the anime altered the timing of some events in the source material. It could be likely that the start of diplomatic relations were never intended to take so long to start in the first place]

Kaijuno:(Really? I know some things are cut from the light novel due to budgeting and limited air time. But timing be out right different from the source material is outright ridiculous)

Kaijuno: Well what's done is done I suppose. Also there's another thing that is concerning. My unique skill Muncher might not be cutting out of it any more. I struggled way more than rimuru during the fight with charybdis since Muncher is way less powerful and had a shorter range than Gluttony. I need to think of a way to evolve into a superior Unique skill, but how? If I remember correctly, Geld had the Unique Skill Gourmet which later evolved into belezebub, basically a non sin series equivalent version of rimuru's belezebuth.

But it was made as an ultimate gift, thats like so many volumes away. Do I just do the gluttonous route of devouring something with a larhw amount of magicules? Both the orc disaster and charybdis are already eaten by rimuru so no luck there. Eating a bunch of random monsters sounds tedious and doesn't sounds very effective to evolve my skills. Is there something that coviently hold a large capacity of energy for me to consume and evolve muncher. Actually now that I think about, I'm not even a demonlord seed. Would evolving my unique skill get in the way of becoming a demonlord seed? You know what, I sleep on this thankfully since Vesta made these sleeping pills for me and rimuru to try out since slimes aren't natural sleepers. I think I can aquire sleep mode if I have Wise Sage analyze it. Welp time for my first sleep in over a year

After swallowing the sleep pill, I swiftly dozed off to sleep

*The Next Morning*

Not gonna go into particular details on what horrors I dreamt of but the only thing I'll say is that I regretted reading to much tensura doujinshi in my previous life, especially the rimuru ones

Kaijuno: W-what!? That was a deam?...well there's that I suppose. Ugh, I really don't think I'm gonna keep that nightmare out of my head for the rest of the day, hopefully I don't run into rimuru

*couple days later*

Kaijuno: Do I really have to wear this suit?

Cameilla: Yes, You and rimuru must be look proper when sending off Benjamin

Kaijuno: Yeah but it's so stiff, I feel like Lavandra in a kimono

Rimuru: Yeah but you do look nice and fancy in a suit

Kaijuno: Ok "MOM"

Rimuru: I'm not a girl

Kaijuno: No kidding, I was being sarcastic

Lavandra:I agree with Rimuru-Sama, you look so cute in a suit

Cameilla: and very handsome too

Kaijuno:(W-W-WHAT!? Wise Sage that's not actually true right!?)

Wise Sage:[Answer: it is correct that master looks very cute and handsome in a suit, it is suggested to wear it for the send off]

Kaijuno:(W-WHAT!? Don't just ca..., they probably just saying it to get me wear it)

Rimuru: cmon everyone is waiting for us

Kaijuno: Right, Right

In our uncomfortable clothes, we head out to the set stage in the middle of the town, surrounded by it's citizens. All anticipating what their lords will say to send off their first envoys

Rimuru:... Ahem, good look at eurazania...

Cameilla: Is that all?

Rimuru: eh!? That was... just my opener, yup

Rimuru proceeds to give a speech about how much this diplomatic relationship means to Tempest since it is a younger nation and that we'll rely on envoys to start up the relationship properly, while keeping it under a minute

Cameilla: Now we'll hear a word from Kaijuno-Sama

Kaijuno(...CRAP! Why do I have to give a public speech. How can I even add more to what rimuru already said)

Kaijuno: Ahem, I-I-I, just as rimuru stated, we are still a young n-nation. While we must p-prioritize ourselves, we must not let our arrogance stop us from forming a-alliances with outsiders cause just l-like amongst ourselves, a unity with other nations can bring great fortune and op-pportunities for all of us. I wish great luck for our brave proxies who stepped up to the occasion for all of us. Go forth to eurazania and make your nation proud!

The crowd responded in loud cheers

Kaijuno:(I want to cry right now, that speech was so god awful)

Bejamin: I didn't think you would fumble so hard in your speech

Kaijuno: Oh shut up

Kaijuno:(How could that have gotten better!?)

Wise Sage:[Answer: Master could've activated Unique Skill Humility to prevent themselves from stuttering]

Kaijuno:(... I forgot)

Rimuru: It should really me to take an envoy trip to eurazania

Benjamin: No, we'll have to make sure eurazania is to be trusted first before you should step foot in it

Rimuru: Well if you insist, good luck to you all

Rigur: of course, I'll make sure to gain as much experience as possible from this

Benjamin: We'll be on our way now

Erupting in cheers, the envoys set out to eurazania. In the wait for eurazania's representatives to arrive, youm's party had returned from their adventures

*A few days later*

We were waiting in the outskirts of Tempest, upon in the distance we see carriages being white tigers emitting electricity.

Kaijuno: literal Thundercats I see

Rimuru: I guess so

Finally arriving, the first to announce themselves was the actual strongest of the three beastketeers

Albis: It is a pleasure to meet you. Leaders of the Jura Tempest Federation, Rimuru Tempest and Kaijuno Tempest. I'm Albis, the Golden Serpent

When it's looking like this whole ordeal will actual go smoothly, of course something happens to bash that hope

Suphia: Seriously! I was curious to see what kind of monsters were leading this place, but two slime! What a bunch of chumps

Albis: Hold you tongue! You might as well be throwing mud at Carrion-Sama with that attitude of yours

Suphia: put a sock in it, you can't order me around Albis. It's one thing for dwarves but humans too. Anyone who becomes pals with pathetic humans are a disgrace to monsters!

Kaijuno: (isn't it a bit ironic since lycanthropes are more closer to humans than monsters because they can be named without the namer losing strength nor the namie gaining any)

Rimuru: Youm is a good friend of mine, along with being a fellow student of the same master

Suphia: Yeah, so?

Rimuru: hmmm, youm how about you knock some sense in her

Youm: uuuuuuuuh

Youm's party: You got this Youm! Beat down that loser!

Kaijuno: Actually I got a better proposal. Lavandra, you take her on

Rimuru: Hey wait!

Kaijuno: Hey look, if she wants to preach about pride of a monster, she'll take on a monster

Albis: my, but the human is left without a fighter. Grucius, you shall be his opponent

Grucius: because I'm the runt? Whatever, I guess I'll play with you human

Youm: The name is Youm. Remember it!

What commences is a battle if blades and a knuckle brawl, or I assume is a knuckle brawl since Suphia and Lavandra almost immediately threw themselves far away from the road we were on. It was entertaining to see Youm and Grucius fighting, guess the efforts Shifu's training is showing it's fruits. All of a sudden they both stopped and stared in the same direction. Confused, I looked towards where they were staring at, only to see that Lavandra formed a gigantic magic bullet.

Lavandra: think you can take this!

Suphia: Bring it on!

Kaijuno:(OH they're getting too excited)

Albis:HALT!

Putting some sense into both of them, Albis got between them with a weapon pointed at both of their necks

Rimuru: So I'm guessing we passed right?

Albis: Indeed

Suphia: that settles it. Anyone who dares acts out of line will bring shame to Carrion's great name, GOT THAT!

Lycanthropes: Hai!

Rimuru: Glad to see things have settled

Lavandra: Um

Kaijuno: Lavandra! What are you doing!?

Lavandra: I don't know, it just got too big!

Suphia: just pull it upwards!

Lavandra: I can't, it's too much!

Kaijuno: Lavandra! Steer it towards my direction!

Lavandra: You sure?

Kaijuno: Yes, you can rely on me

Lavandra:Hai!

Kaijuno:( ok just devour it like in anime, all easy peas- HOLY SH#T! WHY IS THIS MAGIC BULLET SUDDENLY GOTTEN TOO INTENSE?!!!)

Wise Sage:[Activiting Unique Skill Humility]

Wise Sage:[Answer: master's Unique Muncher holds similar strength to Unique Predator. Individual Rimuru used the superior Unique Skill Gluttony to devour Shion's magic bullet]

Kaijuno:(soooo, I got cocky, basically)

Wise Sage:[correct]

In payment of my inflated ego, I struggled on devouring the huge magic bullet for a concerning amount of time before finally getting a hold of all of it before finally eating it while

Kaijuno: see, told ya I can be relied on

Kaijuno:( I feel so out of breathe)

Wise Sage:[Notice: master has no need for air to breathe]

Kaijuno:(Well I'm exhausted either way)

After that circus act of an introduction, we spent the rest of the day actually setting up the foundation of our diplomatic relationship. I for the most part was half asleep on the side while rimuru and a few of our folks in finance to establish the details of our trade deals. That's pretty much the most of this unexpectedly timed event. I really need to find a way to evolve Muncher soon, today just shown me how far behind I really am
