NOVEL NEXT 66: Telepathic Zaps
PEYDRAN
The sun was rising when we finished breakfast, and I gave Ren a tour around the office space of the Living Foods Centre/ Produced by Peydran workshop. Then we went up to my apartment to settle in for what would be a very long story. I started at the beginning. How Ryst first appeared at the monastery and everything she did. Ren laughed at all of that because he'd seen the Normal Monk animation and was a huge fan of Jasen and Alen.
All the while, Ren hummed delighted tunes. Then it was me meeting Ryst and asking her to dance. Then her asking me to help her start Living Foods, and the story went on. Ryst telling me about her Talent on the airship when we went to film The Very Normal Thank You prank on Jasen and Alen. Ren grabbed my pad then, and spluttered, waving at me to "Zap it!" Figuring out what he wanted, I sent a command to the pad to transmit a video to Ryst.

The next time Ren's face filled my screen, he had a shirt on and was exclaiming excitedly like a chirruping squirrel, "Dr— Ryst, you're Sylenotin! From Sylenotin's Last Stand!"
"Sylenotin?" I queried him. "What? Is that a Graphic, Ren? Are you into Graphics? DO YOU LIKE CHALUDRA?!" Peydran, also clothed, groaned and covered his face with his human hand and shook his head.
"Oh, you don't mess with Chaludra; she'll eat your heart and won't stop there! But Sylenotin, Ryst. You ARE Sylenotin." Ren said as he pointed to his head. "You know, telepathy. You're telepathic like Sylenotin!"
And he went on to tell me about Sylenotin's last stand against the Cyborg Horde and how she'd destroyed their robot brains with the power of her telepathic zaps. Then Peydran kissed his neck and the screen went dark.
