EURI

"When's the last time you two were in Trauton?" I asked the Sloan sibs as we folded laundry aboard their starliner the Good Time.

Nearly three years since we've been to Trauton 4, but eight since Trauton 7 where we're going today, Ronnie replied into our minds.

"Gosh, it has been nearly three years, hasn't it?" Portia said, shaking her head. "We're long overdue for a visit with Nanna and Poppie. Oh, Euri, you should've seen it. They took us to Trauton 7 when we were six. Wait, Ronnie, were mom and dad there? I don't remember?"

Ronnie nodded.

"Okay, I just remember how cute it was. See, Frank isn't the first animal to fall in love with my twin." Shah giggled and I saw memories floating through her mind.

"The troubadours on Trauton 4 loved Ronnie, and so did their little show dogs!" In my mind, she showed me memories of two small, white dogs with colorful costumes prancing in front of Ronnie while he fed them sausages.

"Nanna and Poppie wanted us to visit Trauton 7 because it's a whole sphere of animal-loving heaven. Companion animals. Therapy animals. Service animals for people who are blind or have other physical impairments. They breed animals, train them, place them with appropriate families, and teach everyone how to take care of the animals. Plus, they have retreat centers for rehabilitation. Whether it is addiction recovery or other mind disorders, they have places to go with therapy animals."

"So, we went to one of the holiday retreats that's just for families with kids on vacation— a lot of people go there to let their kids play with animals if they don't have pets at home. You know because of work schedules, or people with allergies or whatever. So, Nanna and Poppie took us to Chalet Serene. It's so pretty. Log cabins in the mountains. Horses. And dogs and cats everywhere."

"The cat chalet is amazing, and they had kittens that were only eight weeks old. A whole litter of them! The minute Ronnie walked into the chalet, they all pounced on him, and he pretended like they were killing him. He fell on the floor and acted like he was being mauled! It was hilarious!"

Ronnie chuckled with the memories, and Frank ran up onto his hair, chittering. He reached up and scratched her under the chin.

"Did you want a pet when you were a kid, Ronnie?" I asked.

He shook his head.

'Why not?"

He shrugged. Okay, guessed I wasn't getting anymore info on that subject.

"What about you, Shah? Did you bond with animals much?"

"I loved them, of course. All of them. The dogs, the cats, the horses. But we stayed with the troubadours for a long time. Well, what was it? Four-years-old to twelve?" Ronnie nodded.

"We lived most of the year on Trauton 4, with Nanna and Poppie and often traveling on entertainment tours. Then we'd go back to Sturm. Mom and Dad traveled a lot between the spheres. Most of the time, at least one of them was with us on Trauton 4. They didn't leave us alone, but we had to go back and forth a lot. So, I guess Ronnie and I've always had a nomadic lifestyle. Not really suited to pets. I mean, I'm sure we could've found an animal on Trauton 7 that would've enjoyed our life, but it didn't really seem right." I nodded, and Shah took the folded laundry to her cabin.

Come see my studio. I want to put up the shelves for Frank. Nine hours before we reach Trauton 7, Ronnie sent me. When he said "studio," he meant "art studio."

"Ronnie, this is amazing! You're a painter!"

Humor. Ronnie thought I was funny. Of course he was a painter. How did those Rilla covers look so amazing? Because they were art, Euri. The walls of the studio showcased Ronnie's painting: oils and watercolors, charcoal and chalk. But mostly, oil paintings.

Rilla covers, landscapes, people, and my favorite: a single spindly star that looked like glass against a dark blue background that seemed like a swirling whirlpool bursting up from underneath. It was a background, and it was dark, yet it also looked like it was moving. Like it wasn't a painting but a moving image.

"Amazing, Ronnie," I said, breathless. "This is mesmerizing."

It was hard to take my eyes off the starry painting. Pride beamed out of him, and I realized that no one ever got to see how truly gifted Ronnie was. Outside of his family, I was the only person who had seen this painting.

"Ronnie, if you keep this to yourself, the Known Cosmos is missing a great gift. I can't tell you how to live your life, but your art could help people; inspire people."

He shrugged. Everything would work itself out. He wasn't worried. He showed me what he wanted to do with the tree-limb-shaped shelves, and we got everything installed on the walls. It looked really, really cool. The whole studio was the type of place I wanted to walk into and wander around for hours, but Ronnie's mental presence withdrew as he unpacked his bags. I left him to his work and went in search of Shay.

"I'm not getting anywhere with writing today, I think," Portia said when I went into her cabin. "I'm still in vacation mode. We have 7 hours left of the trip. Are you gonna try working, Euri?"

I sat on the sofa and stretched my arms over my head. "I could be convinced to not work."

She smiled and straddled me. "How about I look into your eyes for a minute?"

I grinned at her. It took about five seconds of eye contact bonding for our neurotransmitters to fire, and then we were both as hot as could be, remembering how awesome it had been the night before for us to make love, really make love as Portia and Euri.

But that had been in the dark, lying on our sides, with me behind her. Now we were sitting on the couch, Portia straddling me, face-to-face, with the lights on.

I want to try, she whispered against my mind. I could feel her need. Her breasts were tight, she was wet, and I was hard and taught all over, every nerve firing.

Let's try, I suggested, and she kissed me and rubbed herself against my cock. So good, Shay, so good. You feel so good, baby.

Euri, Euri, I want to.

You will, baby, you will. You feel so good. I feel how hot you are for me. She stood up and slid off her shorts, pulled off my shirt and shorts, then straddled me again, pushing her wetness on me.

Oh baby, that feels so good. It'll feel better with your tits on my chest. I slid her bra off because she told me to in her mind, and she pushed her breasts against me.

Umm. Hmm. Euri, Euri, please.

Shh, baby. You feel so good. You're already so wet for me. Umm. Yeah, just like that, Shay. So good, baby. So good. Oh you're so wet for me. Shay! Shay!

Umm. Ahh. Portia gasped into my mouth, then her body convulsed lightly against me, and I felt surprise run through her. I stilled, trying to think. Portia giggled.

Did you feel that? she asked, giggling.

Feel what?

That was one of my "barely there," climaxes, she laughed.

Wait— WHAT? Did you have a BAD orgasm while we're bonding with the lights on? I asked, chuckling.

She laughed against my mouth and nodded. Not bad, just really small. Then she kissed me, and slid me into her and rode me.

Come into me, Euri. Come so hard for me. I know you want to. Come for me, Euri.

I leg go and let her ride me. It didn't take much. She didn't come a second time, but she enjoyed my climax and I held her to me as I came back down. Then she looked into my eyes and kissed me, feeling celebratory.

I love you, Euri.

I love you too, Shay. That was so good. You're amazing.

I know. Lights on, and everything. I did it, Euri!

I love you so much, Shay.

I finished episode five of Eclipse Chasers before we got to Trauton 7 and wrote Crystal and Nathan using eye contact to fire up their oxytocin and grow their love. Shah wrote a chapter of Rilla about bonding with Lake Mavwin, making love with the lights on and looking into each other's eyes.

No, Portia didn't have a heart-opening climax the first time we made love with the lights on. But she didn't run away, and she didn't feel like she needed to hide behind Rilla Sandewen or Psy Ling. She was herself, and tiny-barely-there-orgasm, or not, it had been everything we'd needed it to be.

We were going to be okay.
