SHAH
"Oh yeah, Rilla, you got it. That's it. Umm hmmm. Just a little more."
Ahhhhhhhh. Yes! Release wafted through me, Lena's tongue in just the right spot as Wraith moved behind and inside me. Groaning, Wraith emptied himself, and he and his life mate celebrated inside their minds. The next time he came, it would be into Lena, and they'd be able to conceive. The whole time they'd been making love to me, as Rilla, they'd been thinking about each other, and that's what finally ended Rilla's dry spell. Rilla got off on Lena and Wraith's desire for each other.
"Oh, fucking clouds, yes," Psy Ling thought. I've got the ending to book six!
And Portia Sloan's fingers stilled against her slickness, so glad that everyone was finally, finally able to get the climax they needed. Yeah, that was me, three people in one, kinda like being with the panther shifters Wraith and Lena.
Yes! I knew how to transition Rilla out of the non-stop hook up life and into monogamy. She had to get jealous of Wraith and Lena's love for each other and decide to go in search of her own. That'd also had the added benefit of ending my dry spell. Buzz.
Ronnie: 93 minutes.
Yeah, my twin sent me a message on my pad because my telepathy was locked up tight, finishing book six. Perfect! I had an hour and a half to write that chapter down before we docked at the Shurwinn Transfer Station.
Mmm hmmm, just like he'd wanted, Ronnie had gotten me to Shurwinn, Euri's home world. Four days ago, he'd looked victorious when he'd walked into my cabin, holding out his pad and showing me the most gorgeous illustrations of Drop of Desire: Rilla and Rawl #1. He'd done the first five chapters into a graphic novel and found a small press in Milky Way Galaxy to publish it. He'd wanted me to sign the contract so we'd get all of Rilla and Rawl in graphics with Ronnie as artist!
You needed a reason, Shah? Do it because I'm asking, and I'll do Rilla and Rawl in graphics.
I couldn't say no to that, could I? I'd been bugging him for years to do more with his art, and he'd gone and found us a contract. So, we were Shurwinn bound as Ronnie wanted. And even better, on the trip there, I had resolved my sexual frustration and had the perfect ending to book six.
I just had to figure out how Rilla was going to fall in love in books seven through twelve.
EURI
You have your own house, Euri? Shah asked.
"Actually, this was my aunt and uncle's place, but when they left, I took it over. Go on downstairs to the media room, and I'll grab the dinner," I instructed as I pulled a tray of pizza rolls out of the oven.
I'd had the pie place in the village make a rectangular crust with mozzarella only and leave it unsliced. Then I doused it with garlicky pizza herbs and crushed red pepper and cut it into strips which I rolled up into pretty little swirls like cinnamon rolls. I'd left them in the warm oven when I went to pick up the Sloan Sibs from Coal Station.

When the twins had come out of the station, I'd opened my arms and one of them ducked under each arm. The feeling wafting off of the three of us was relief and happiness and belonging. Like all three of us just knew that we were supposed to be right there, hugging on the platform.
We'd gone to see the coffee orchard in bloom just as the sun set, and then had made our way to my casita. I grabbed the salad bowl and dressing jar and slid a bunch of cloth napkins and silverware onto the tray and headed downstairs. The Sloans probably wouldn't eat salad, but I at least tried to eat as though I were an adult.
They'd already found the daybeds in the media room when I got downstairs. This is such an awesome room! The windows are amazing, Shah said.
"Yeah. The tinting is voice command, so if you want to darken it when you go to sleep, just say 'Command: sixty percent opacity.'" The windows turned dark, so I gave the command to reverse it. "Same thing works on the sunlights upstairs if you want to change those too."
Yum. I haven't eaten pizza this way since we were here last, Ronnie said mentally.
You eat pizza any other way? I asked, puzzled. Then I felt it. Both of them were laughing at me like I was the butt of an eight-year joke.
"No way," I shook my head. "Unh unh. You fuckers. Are you telling me you eat pizza like normal people?!"
They both rocked with laughter.
"To be fair," Shah clarified, "I actually don't like peppers and onions or olives on pizza, so I would've pulled those off anyway."
I felt Ronnie nodding his mental agreement.
The sauce was my idea. You already thought we were weird, so I figured why not wipe the sauce off with a napkin too? said Ronnie.
I choked on ale, laughing like a loon.
At what point did you decided to gang up on me? I asked.
You were an easy target. It wasn't a decision, said Ronnie.
The salad looks good, Shah commented.
You like salad? The dressing is peppercorn. Nice spice to it and tangy cheesiness.
Well, dressing can by iffy, Shah said hesitantly.
Try it. I handed each of them a spoon coated in peppercorn dressing. Shah's tongue lathed over the spoon and back into her mouth, and every male nerve ending in my body came alight.
"Mmmm," she said aloud, eyes closed. Wow. That's good. It was practically a moan in my brain.
I quickly turned my eyes away from her and put 100% of my attention on stirring salad dressing into the bowl, blocking out every other thought. Everything was just lettuce, tomatoes, and creamy dressing. I put the bowl between us so we could just eat straight out of it with forks.
I take it you actually do use forks? I jibbed them. They were both still giving off wave after wave of glee, but they took the forks and started shoveling in salad.
"All that time. Even on the starliner?! Five days we ate finger foods, and you two lied to me the whole trip? We could've been eating pasta and curry and stew?" I accused.
They continued giving off wave after wave of glee. I was so out of my league. The Sloans were not only long-term pranksters, but they'd given nothing away with their feelings or minds.
I'd had no idea they were being conniving that whole time! None whatsoever. I was in way, way over my head. And apparently had an enormous amount of finger foods stocked in my kitchen for no reason. Well, they were going to eat it all. Tortillas for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Sloans.
I made it through dinner looking mostly at Ronnie so I didn't keep seeing the basil on Shah's chin which I wanted to kiss off and then keep going until my lips touched hers.

So, Ronnie gave up yet another secret to Euri: that we were vicious pranksters and punked him so hard he'll never trust us again. Totally worth it! I didn't miss the fact that he got hot when I ate peppercorn dressing off a spoon like it was everything I'd ever wanted in my mouth.
After that though, I didn't pick up much else from his feelings or thoughts. He seemed pretty locked down.
We settled in to play River Rage, a video game with a story to it. It was really dumb, but fun, and a good way to get used to using Euri's homemade cybernetic scalp relays for gaming. It was odd to not need a controller, but Ronnie and I picked it up pretty fast.
I settled on the daybed, lying back with my legs up the back, and Ronnie put his head on Euri's thigh. Euri sat up cross-legged in the middle, and we all had VR visors on. I wanted to look at Euri, but if I did, I wouldn't be able to keep my mental shield up, not now that I knew he wanted me to lick his body the way I'd licked my spoon.
"Alright, I still make myself take an eight-hour break at night. Shah, if you want, you can take the bedroom upstairs, and I'll sleep down here in the media room with Ronnie. Sorry I don't have private bedrooms for everyone."
"What, you want to spend the night with my brother, Euridyne?" I poked at him.
He chuckled, "Just trying to be a good host."
I felt Ronnie nudging me. "Why don't you just stay down here with us? We'll have a pow wow, all three of us."
"Ah, well, if you don't want the bedroom, I'll head upstairs. See you in the morning. There's pretty much everything you need in the bathroom, and help yourselves to the kitchen upstairs. Make yourselves at home. Nighty night."
Euri ducked out quickly. That was odd. He was locked up tight. Not a whiff came off of his emotions or thoughts. Ronnie was just as locked down. Suspiciously silent. I peered at my brother with piercing eyes.
He rolled his eyes at me and pushed into my mind, Give it a rest, Shah.
For clouds' sakes, what was going on?
