Star Gate

The book of great dao appeared the moment Li Hao made his move. Zhang An walked between the world and various figures melded into his body. Not only that, but a sparkling star traveled his way and landed on the book.

New dao, old dao... Zhang An hadn't seemed to fully give up on the core origin dao of New Martial. He was trying to integrate the two daos. There were a lot of commonalities between core origin dao and the Hao Cosmos dao.

The Empyrean King paled with horror and unbounded fear. "Zhang An?!" he shrieked.

What was Zhang An doing here?? That was the grandson of the supreme!

Supreme Zhang was one of the utmost powerhouses in New Martial, a truly premier heavyweight. He'd helped the Human King ascend to his throne; just his name alone was a source of terror!

Supreme Zhang was among the top three priority kill targets for Red Moon's invasion of New Martial! This person was the brains of New Martial!

Zhang An was completely unmoved; he only flicked a glance in Li Hao's direction. His eyes widened slightly when he took in the sight of the young man striking with his sword. It was just a soft blow, but the Empyrean King level tree that'd barely managed to take human form was split into two with a loud boom!

The old man that the tree had taken shape as flew apart, incredulity in its eyes!

There were three more Empyrean Kings who were still untouched. The three of them immediately rushed Li Hao for no reason other than they were afraid of Zhang An.

That was the grandson of the supreme!

As for Li Hao, this genius of the new age didn't exert as much pressure on them. They would kill Li Hao first, then Zhang An!

Zhang An's expression flickered slightly; the book of great dao rumbled in response. He brandished a spear and jabbed it forward. It transformed into a long blade with the movement and swung in another arc, then transformed into a longbow that pulled back to fire off an arrow...

The permutations were endless!

The trapped Empyrean King wailed with dismay while distinct crunches could be heard from his body. Countless bloody traces appeared on him as he howled with agony.

Zhang An's face also paled. After all, he was going against an Empyrean King! He still needed to employ certain methods and go to certain efforts to ensure his success. His expression continued to flicker rapidly.Damn...He might not be in time to defend Li Hao!

"Li Hao..." he uttered softly. A longsword appeared in his hand and descended toward his target. The book of dao shimmered with scintillating light to suppress the Empyrean King!

The longsword ran the man through!

The screams abruptly stopped; the Empyrean King body had been chopped into two. A faint shadow appeared from the corpse, but ten thousand thunderbolts erupted from the book of dao as soon as it appeared.

RUMBLE!

Bolt after bolt connected with the shadow, scattering it. An Empyrean King had died in the blink of an eye!

Although he hadn't died in one move due to Zhang An lacking overwhelming strength, the latter had still managed the feat in record time due to the book of great dao suppressing his target!

Zhang An didn't have time to break the man's dao, but there was also no need to do so. With the death of the body and mental spirit, the other possessed no ability to strike back. Not to mention, it was unknown if the Empyrean King's core origin dao still existed after he switched to cultivating Red Moon power.

Zhang An put away the book of great dao and sped for Li Hao's location. A group of Saints appeared in front of him the next second.This is bad!

Just as Zhang An paused with consternation, a grisly wail rang out. The tattered tree had just exploded!

Li Hao's longsword cut through the void, erupting with ten thousand strokes. He outright reduced the blood-colored tree into dust! The tree's mental strength was likewise obliterated as soon as it showed itself.

Dead! A second Empyrean King!

Li Hao's speed wasn't as fast as Zhang An's. He'd made his move first, but his result came slower than Zhang An's. The remaining three Empyrean Kings were already present in the distance.

"Li Hao, convene with me!" Zhang An shouted with urgency.Hurry!

He wanted to rush over, but the concerted efforts of a dozen Saints brought an eruption of Red Moon power to bear. Zhang An's mind blanked for a moment; the book of great dao roared back in response!

"Surround him!" shouted one of the quickly approaching Empyrean Kings. They didn't call to kill Zhang An, but to trap him. Once the three of them dispatched Li Hao, Zhang An would be dead without a doubt!

Everyone had recognized the two invaders—Zhang An and Li Hao. But most frightening of all was that Li Hao was supposed to be at the Forbidden Sea today. Saints had set out from Thunderblast to aid the battle there!

This was a conspiracy!

Or whatever it was, these two had to die first.

Li Hao withdrew his sword and looked at the three. They immediately formed a triangle with the young man in the center. Incensed and brooding, their rage knew no bounds!

"Li Hao, your boldness has no end! You court death!"

"Kill!" The three shouted with anger and made their moves at the same time.

Li Hao didn't seem to have time to shift the city, and yet... the three Empyrean Kings seemed to see something in this moment. They lost their train of thought for a split second...

They saw a star that was half real and half illusory!

To them, they glimpsed that sight for only a split second, a heartbeat of amazement...

But to the outside world, the three Empyrean Kings suddenly paused. Li Hao didn't take advantage of this opening to kill them since he would be able to kill only one at most. He'd be in for it from the remaining two!

Without the strength of an Empyrean King keeping everything under control, the ancient city abruptly shook and an enormous crack appeared in the air.

Thunderblast suddenly shook and shot into the firmament!

The three Empyrean Kings jerked awake. They weren't even aware that a second of time had passed; the three continued their line of attack!

An enormous impact echoed when the three landed their blows. Water seemed to ripple over Li Hao, or was it blood? But there seemed to be the rushing sound of water...

The three blinked, suddenly detecting something awry. They lifted their heads and found... that it wasn't the night sky that they were familiar with!

Is this the dao universe? But how is this possible? The three of us have been keeping Li Hao busy, how did we suddenly make it into the dao universe?

Countless thunderbolts gathered from the depths of the universe in the blink of an eye. The entire cosmos seemed to shake with fury!

Absolute wrath!

There was so much, too much Red Moon power here. Three Empyrean Kings, a dozen Saints, and one hundred Immortals all cultivated the Red Moon path. There was even a red moon over the city, one that contained endless Red Moon power!

The dao universe was beside itself with rage!

Boom!

Thunder and lightning screamed over with ferocious killing intent!

No one stopped it, so it couldn't accumulate to greater effect. All the same, innumerable targets yelled and cried with pain. Ancient Guards howled within the city as their Red Moon power evaporated. Some of the weaker ones were directly pulverized to ashes!

Zhang An's heart quaked. He knew what the dao universe would do to them, but how had Li Hao suddenly moved everyone inside? He hadn't been able to see anything. How had the young man accomplish it?

He didn't know that Li Hao once basked in the light of that unique star, and that the star had swam in the river before. That was the equivalent of swimming in Li Hao's body, so he'd comprehended a sliver of the power of time from that encounter.

The young man had once sent a nearly Fused Dao level Panther into a daze for seven seconds. That was when his replica was in charge. This time, it was Li Hao's primary body directing everything.

The three Empyrean Kings had paused for perhaps one-hundredth of a second. That was enough for Li Hao to commence some of his plans!

For powerhouses, that was enough to kill an Empyrean King. However, Li Hao had chosen to shift the city instead of killing people.

"How can this be?" gasped a stunned Empyrean King. He punched through a thunderbolt, but more swiftly swept his way. The three started to panic!

"Kill Li Hao first! We might be able to leave if we kill him!" they roared.

Damn it! They'd been moved into the dao universe!

Li Hao laughed and transformed into a giant. When his blood flowed, one hundred million stars in the cosmos twinkled in response. They were answering the call of the river, of Li Hao's body!

Endless dao power began churning; Li Hao grew bigger!

He neither looked at the Empyrean Kings' attacks nor launched a counterblow. He simply gazed into the far distance, at the depths of the universe. A star there seemed to sense something in this second.

It moved through the void with curiosity, picking up speed as joy bloomed.

"Look over there..." Li Hao chuckled, pointing a massive finger.

Some looked subconsciously and were instantly frozen. Some didn't look, but when a star shot toward Li Hao, everyone saw it. The entire city, including Zhang An and the three Empyrean Kings, immediately froze!

Li Hao grinned, the 'dao' character flashing from his forehead. This was his true trump card! This was the truly invincible ability! This was the might of the dao master!

Was there a need for meticulous plotting? Was there a need to fight to the death? When this star was lured to where he was, all of these people were destined to die!
