Chapter 105: Classmate Bonding?

But for the time being, he decided to remain silent and leave those thoughts behind right now as he continued to talk with Jeniael Luxford. It was clear that she was somehow oddity among the younger generation of the House Luxford.

Even though she was born into such a prestigious Bloodline Lineage Aristocratic House, she never received a formal education for whatever reason. He didn't press that matter because it was clear that it was something that she didn't want to talk about.

She was clearly strong for her age; that was something evident as she was already Delta-Grade Psyker from as much as he could sense from her. Jeniael was around 19 years old, so she was six years younger than him, as he was currently 25 years old.

Not to mention, he also sensed that she had some very powerful Super-High Risk Psyker Ability; as fellow bearers of the Super-High Risk Primal Psyker Ability, Arcturus was able to sense other people like him.

The others had similar capabilities to him and were able to sense even the strength of the Super-High Risk Psyker Abilities as part of his particular skill set. Normally speaking, he was already a bit older than the average student of the Imperial Phoenix Military Academy, as the usual enrollment age was something around fourteen or fifteen.

As someone who was 25 years old, he was far older than the average age of the students of the Imperial Phoenix Military Academy, and at the same time, he was also on the relatively lower specter of the Grades in the Psyker Path.

This was mainly attributed to the fact that he was practicing barely for one year or so... yet, even then, he had already managed to reach Delta-Garde Psyker and Warrior within just one year, and his combat prowess was much higher than his own Grade.

"Do you want to fight?"

Out of nowhere, Jeniael asked because Arcturus was in the Special Course Class, which meant that he was very powerful indeed. From the information that she heard about him, it was clear that Arcturus was very powerful, and she wanted to test her ability against someone who was regarded as one of the strongest of the younger generation.

In fact, Jeniael also knew the most precious information from all, which was that Arcturus Crawford managed to reach all of this just within one year or so after he started practicing, which was mind-boggling.

It was very rare for people to reach such a high degree of power just after one year of practice, and the number of them would still be not more than ten across the entire Andromeda Galaxy.

Even she who was born into the best background within the Eternal Empire of the Asurya and was very doted on by their Ancestor who was personally training and nurturing her, giving her various things and treasures, managed to reach only the Delta-Grade Psyker and Warrior.

Yet, there was someone who managed to reach the Delta-Grade Psyker and Warrior just in something below one year.

Her battle lust was instantly ignited when she thought it over because she would finally have a good opponent to fight against. Among the younger generation, there were only three or so people with the Super-High Risk Psyker Ability.

"Why not? Do you want to fight now, or can I at least check on my room..."

Arcturus asked, as he would have preferred to check on his room and put his things here before they ran to the sparring ring.

"As you wish, but hurry..."

Saying that, Arcturus went to the room that was assigned to him while Jeniael was waiting for him rather impatiently because she wanted to have a battle against him. She wasn't a person to sit idly around for a prolonged amount of time...

"It seems that you are once again behaving like a thug, Jen-Jen; what a disgrace."

Not long after Arcurus left the room, a new person came to the room, and hearing that voice made Jeniael frown heavily as she looked at the source of the female voice.

"Shut up! You stuck-up nerd! And don't call me Jen-Jen!!"

She wanted to throw something towards the new woman who entered the room but realized that she didn't have anything, only the pillows, as unfortunate it was. The woman who entered the room was around the same age as Jeniael, with short, sleek black hair and an undercut on one side. Find adventures on m_v l|e'm-p y r

She wore a fitted, black attire, some kind of suit with red accents, emphasizing functionality and style.

"Ts, ts, ts... you could come up with a new kind of insult already... Jen-Jen. I am starting to doubt your intellect already."

The black-haired woman said with a green, which only further infuriated Jeniael when she was still calling her Jen-Jen, the nickname that she hated with fervor, probably as much as the woman in front of her.

"At least I am not playing with the machines all day. Hopefully, one day, you will be able to construct an android for yourself, or the direct Lineage of the House Alvix will end with you, Zehal..."

The snark remark caught the woman unguarded as her face grew red in shame and anger at the same time, and she initially wanted to teach the unruly white-haired woman a good lesson.

"At least I am not a brutish gorilla who knows only how to wave her sword."

Zehal Lena Alvix, the Heiress of the House Alvix and the future hope of the House Alvix to be elevated into the Bloodline Aristocratic Lineage House of the Eternal Empire of the Asurya, because she was born with the Super-High Risk Primal Psyker Ability, Deus Technicus.

Essentially, Technomnacy and Cyberkinesis merged together and boosted by ten times in the simplest terms.

"This is it. I will chop off your head!"

Jeniael Luxford was rather sensitive for these kinds of remarks, because due to her personality and behavior nobody really wanted to do anything with her. Even though she was Heiress of the House Luxford as the most capable child of the House Luxford, many often joked that the direct lieange would partly end with her.

It didn't help the fact that she was typically strongest in her age group with her Super-High Risk Psyker Ability, and she had rather strong violent tendencies of beating up people whom she didn't like.

Just as she was about to reach for something that she would use as her weapon to strike Zehal and just as Zehal was about to create a weapon from her nanotechnology, the doors opened, and Arcturus walked into a very different common room...

Even he could sense the dense atmosphere in the air...

And it didn't escape his eyes that both of the women that were in the common room were already prepared for the fight and as much as entertaining the battle between two beautiful women would be, Arcturus decided that it wasn't really the best thing right now.

It would most probably destroy the school property and cause unnecessary problems, and while he didn't know that if any of the participants really dared to fight, he recognized when a person was about to draw a blade and it was clear that neither of the two women cared for the rules as they were about to settle their accounts personally...

With their weapons and right here and right now.

In a split moment, he released the Dimension Lost of the Dimension Empyrean as the entire common room was involved in the mist-like substance that prevented either of the women from doing anything, as they were surprised by the troublesome ability.

Jeniael immediately looked at the source of the troublesome mist because it was due to Arcturus that she couldn't kick Zehal's ass, while her opponent just looked at the Arcturus and at the Dimension Lost before she dispersed her Psyker Ability.

"If you want to fight, I am rather sure that the Academy has enough places where you can safely attempt to kill each other."

With the Dimension Lost binding both of them, it was clear that they wouldn't be fighting.

As he was increasing the mastery over the Dimension Lost, he was also able to use the Emyprean Mist to drain someone's Psionic Energy, so just being in contact with the Empyrean Mist of the Dimension Lost was causing the Psykers and Psionics to grow considerably weaker.

"Ts... it seems that you are saved this time, Zehal. Next time, I will beat you to a pulp."

Jeniael immediately grabbed the first opportunity she had to mock her opponent because this was like things had been since childhood. They knew each other from an early age and had been competing against each other for a long time already, and they were fighting at every opportunity they got.

As it became clear that they wouldn't be fighting anymore, Arcturus dispersed the Dimension Lost and canceled the entirety of the Empyrean Mist as the common room returned back to normal.

"Good luck with that gorilla; hopefully, you will get tired of her and change your tastes for someone more refined..."

With that being said, before Jeniael could say anything, Zehal immediately disappeared from the common room and moved to her room, and locked herself in. Soon afterward, Jeniael finally responded as she burst out in a wave of Psionic Energy in anger that her rival had called her gorilla.

"Dammed bitch!"

But it was already too late as her rival had already retreated to her chambers, while Arcturus pondered for a moment over the things that he had seen. He recognized the name Alvix when Jeniael and Zehal were insulting each other, and quickly came to the conclusion that Zehal must be the granddaughter of Kaelor Alvix from the Starlight Drive Yard Industries.

The Senior Executive of the Starlight Drive Yard Industries mentioned the last time that his granddaughter was enrolled in the Special Course Class at the Imperial Phoenix Military Academy.

Like Jeniael, his own Super-High Risk Psyker Ability reacted to her own and it was clear that Zehal was also someone very powerful. Though he wasn't what kind of ability she had, it didn't escape his attention how easily she was able to control the nanotechnology and nanites, so something was telling him that it must be something related to the technology and control of the technology.

Perhaps of something akin to Technomancy and Cyberkinesis.

"Your friend?"

Arcturus asked jokingly as he sat down on the sofa and looked at the pissed-off Jeniael, who was absolutely livid at the suggestion that she was friends with Zehal.

"As if! She is the greatest pleasure that I have ever encountered, but for some time, she must be competent with me on every single step, and I can't stand her. Just because she thinks that she is smart, she constantly looks down on me. Ts... dammed nerd."

Her rant continued for some more ten minutes, as he just sat there and listened to Jeniael, who was complaining about her rivals and so on. In fact, he was rather laughing inside, because they were like a frenemies from some sitcom.

"Will you end your rant already? We should get going, or will you remain here for the whole day complaining?"

Soon enough, his patience ran out because she had been complaining for more than twenty minutes already, and it didn't seem to stop. She must be pretty angry, and in fact, Arcturus was too intrigued by the idea of fighting against her.

This was rather a valuable opportunity to fight against someone from the younger generation of the Eternal Empire of the Asurya, one born to the Highborne Bloodline Lineage Aristocratic Household that was ranked on the top of the entire nation and was cultivated with the best resources in the Empire.

"Whatever... let's go and fight!"

Instantly, she bolted as her mood brightened in a moment, grabbed him by his hand, and literarily dragged him to the sparring arena that was specifically designed, created, and used by the students of the Special Course Class.

Another perk of the being a student in the Special Course Class was that they had their own private sparring ring where they could train and fight in the silence without being disturbed by anyone else.

The sparring ring of the Special Course Class was very similar to the arena where he was undertaking his Combat Tests. And even though he was rather tired from all of the fighting done previously, he was still willing to go a few rounds with Jeniael.

Aside from his own curiosity, there was another fact...

She seemed like a person who wouldn't stop until she got what she wanted.

So it was better to give her the fight so she wouldn't be bothering him in the future and perhaps, that was also where his pride was speaking, because even though he still was tired from the previous fight against Master Nassain, his Psionic Energy was intact and the tiredness was only limited to his stamina.

As someone who achieved all of his power with his hard work, Arcturus had a certain deal of pride. And he couldn't really tell her that he was tired because no matter how silly it sounded, it was a matter of pride and a good impression in front of a beautiful lady.
