Chapter 445: The Xu Family Sending In Intelligence To The Other Forces

In the Central Continent, members of the Xu family continued watching. Reports flowed in from communication crystals, relayed by shadow operatives and ally networks.

Inside a quiet war room, Yan Yuehua stood by a map table with a dozen flickering markers.

"They're leaving us alone for now," she said, tapping the Central region. "But only because they're focused elsewhere."

"They're spreading the fire," said Lin Yue. "Instead of pushing one flame forward, they've lit ten small ones across the map."

Xu Qianghua stepped into the room, arms crossed, his eyes focused. He looked tired—but satisfied.

"Good," he said. "That means they're scared of another loss here. We can use that."

"But the other continents are taking hits," Lin Yue added. "If they collapse, it won't matter how safe we are."

Xu Qianghua nodded.

"That's why we'll help."

Yan Yuehua looked over. "Are we sending support?"

"Eventually," he said. "But not in force. We'll send intel. Trap plans. Manuals. Everything they need to learn how to fight the way we do."

He pointed to the map. "If we train them to hold, the beasts won't be able to build momentum. And once we're sure they've spent their energy…"

He paused.

"We'll strike."

Outside the war room, Xu family disciples were already organizing scrolls, sealing information packs, and preparing Shadow couriers.

The Central Continent was holding strong.

But the other continents were bleeding.

And if nothing changed, the beasts would gain what they lost before.

But that wasn't going to happen.

Because now, the Xu family wasn't just defending.

They were teaching.

And once their knowledge spread…

The battlefield would shift again.

And this time, it would shift in humanity's favor.

*****

Across the continents, the reality of that decision was already taking shape.

In the Eastern Continent, a command post had been set up inside a ruined watchtower. Maps were spread over a wooden table reinforced by spiritual iron.

The commander, General Ming of the Yu clan, stood over it, rubbing his forehead while issuing orders.

"We need to hold the eastern ridge," he said, pointing at a red zone on the map. "Push any spare units toward the cliff line before sunset.

If they breach that choke point, we lose the whole valley."

Surrounding him were his officers, who were all wearing armor and had their weapons either stored behind their backs or hung around their waist; they all nodded and began relaying orders.

Another captain leaned forward, frowning. "The beasts have shifted again. The last sighting shows three squads near the river trail. No sign of the reinforcements we were promised."

Ming clenched his jaw. "We're fighting blind again…"

And just as he said it, the room grew quiet.

At first, none of them noticed, but soon, they could feel another person with them, which was not something that could happen as no one was allowed to enter while they were in the meeting.

And exactly at the same time, the lantern flame flickered slightly, and a breeze touched the back of his neck.

He turned.

There, just behind him, stood a figure cloaked in black.

No sound.

No warning.

Just... appeared.

Everyone froze.

Ming's hand went to his sword out of reflex.

But then he saw the symbol embroidered cleanly into the chest of the cloak.

A jade badge hung loosely at the figure's side, swaying ever so slightly.

Xu family.

Everyone's breath slowed.

"…Shadow operative," Ming muttered.

The figure said nothing. Just took three steps forward and placed a sealed storage bag on the table.

Ming looked at it, then back at the operative. "Please. Sit. Someone bring tea—"

The shadow lifted a hand, refusing politely.

Then gestured to the bag.

Ming opened it.

Scrolls. Maps. A thin silver notebook.

The first scroll showed updated beast troop movements, exact energy levels recorded over the last six days, and projections for the next two.

The second outlined weaknesses in the enemy's formations—specific notes about which captains acted too slowly, which ones favored brute force over tactics, and where they were likely to make mistakes under pressure.

The silver notebook held formation instructions—pre-laid trap arrays matched perfectly to the terrain of their current battlefield.

Ming didn't speak for a moment. He just kept flipping through the contents with disbelief written on his face.

"This… this is what we needed from the start," one of the officers whispered.

The Shadow gave a short bow and disappeared as quietly as they had arrived.

Gone, like a ghost.

Across the continent, the same thing happened again and again.

In a storm-battered cliff town, a Shadow walked out of the fog and placed a scroll into the hands of a wandering sect scout.

In a dense forest clearing on the Western Continent, two exhausted cultivators barely holding the line saw a black-cloaked figure leap from a tree, hand them a jade slip with updated enemy trap locations, and vanish.

No words.

No names.

Just help.

The impact was immediate.

In one border zone where a sect had already lost nearly half its defenders, the arrival of updated beast weaknesses allowed the defenders to set three new traps.

Those three traps wiped out a full beast squad within hours.

In another city, just minutes before a beast wave crashed into the front gate, formation scrolls sent by a Shadow team were deployed.

The defenses held.

Barely—but they held.

And for the first time in days, some cultivators began to feel like they had a real chance.

Not because of numbers.

Not because of brute strength.

But because someone finally gave them a map to follow.

Back in the Central Continent, the Shadow couriers continued moving nonstop.

Some rode spirit hawks.

Others used shadow posts placed weeks before.

They worked in shifts. Silent. Efficient.

Each one carried vital intelligence to a struggling battlefield.

And everywhere they went, they left behind a message.

One that didn't need to be said out loud.

The Xu family was watching.

And they were not sitting still.

They were guiding. Teaching. Reinforcing from afar.

And when the beasts realized what was happening…

It would be too late.
