SSS Rank Chef: Rising In The World Of Magic

Chapter 27: The Tribal Island

The next morning, Baron Frascine woke up to another headache.

Lukas and his sister, Evanina had disappeared in the middle of the night and his guards had not noticed it until the sun had gone up.

Count Beaumont, who was still in the Baron's mansion couldn't stop himself from frowning as he glared at his second son.

"It is time that I leave, Baron Frascine." he said and bid farewell to his friend before getting into his carriage.

One by one, the guests left and the baron sat in the living room as he picked up a pipe filled with dry tobacco. A few seconds later, he looked at the top that had been smouldering and took a long drag.

'Looks like someone took him away… and it's someone powerful. Haaa, I didn't expect him to be that special. In a way, I feel like I've endangered his life….' he thought, feeling regret as he took another drag from his pipe.

As it happened on the day he invited people to showcase Lukas' cooking, he had an inkling that the person responsible for this was one of his guests or possibly even more.

'The one who actually has the power to do this is… the Count. I'll have to be careful when I interact with him. Maybe if I probe a little, I'll be able to get some answers.'

20 days later.

Lukas floated on a large piece of wood onto a shore with an extremely tanned skin. Right behind him, was a gorgeous young girl that had a similar tan. She had one hand on piece of wood and another on Lukas' leg.

'Finally….' he thought as he rolled onto his back, letting the hot sand dry his back as he blocked the sunlight with his arm.

"I'm so tired…." he muttered as he sat up and looked down at his toe ring before rubbing it.

A screen appeared in front of him and soon, he took out two sheets of paper that had weird symbols on it. The siblings shared one each and sat cross legged with the papers in their grip. Mana collected around them and soon, the symbols on the paper were gone.

This was a magical talisman they were given to make things easier. It only had one function and that was to drill in the language of the tribes into their heads.

Once done, the two of them stood up and headed into the forest behind them. On the way, Lukas slowly took out one item after another as he got both of them equipped.

'Hmm… I'll have to either find the Black Boar Tribe or the Nana tribe. They're the only ones who meet my requirements.' he thought as he glanced at his sister.

These two tribes were the only ones that allowed females to wear male clothes and had males who normally wore shirts made of rough fibres. As for the rest, the women either covered themselves with leaves or processed hide, or they went completely topless. The ones who covered themselves only focused on their breasts, which was also too much for Nina according to Lukas as they got their teachings from the church of life which was pretty conservative.

'I really should be thanking the ones who came here before me.' he thought as he looked up at the sun and changed his direction.

The two of them walked for a few hours before stopping. There were still a few hours until the sun went down and they didn't have any plans on working during the night. Due to this, Lukas and Nina got to work as they built a tiny bed made of leaves and a lot of long grass under the huge leaves as cushion.

It barely took them an hour to finish their preparations and once done, Lukas looked up at the large boulder that made things easy for him. Thanks to the boulder, he didn't have to build a shelter since it could shield him from rain. It had a decent sized chunk had been chipped off, which made all of this possible.

As for his bed, it was raised a little using sticks to make sure that they would be warm even if it rains at night.

Once all of this was done, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath before looking at the pile of dry sticks in front of him. Nina was out collecting more firewood at the moment and he felt his stomach grumble.

'Let's do this…' he thought as he squatted down, raised a thick branch like it was a staff and thrust it upwards. Mana slowly converged around the top of the branch, slowly making it smoulder.

Seeing the smoke being emitted getting thicker, Lukas stood up and gave one last thrust as he spent half of his mana. All of a sudden, the branch caught fire. Using this, he lit up the thick sticks and branches that Nina had laid out before sitting on his bed.

"Finally some relaxation." he muttered as he looked in front of him.

'If I didn't have to keep my stats below 10, I probably would have reached fifteen or even twenty… how does the Red Skull Tribe even find foreigners like us if we have more than 10 points in any stat other than mana?' he thought as he casually took out a nice piece of red meat. He pulled out a stick from the fire that had been partially burnt and blew out the fire.

Then, he pushed the charred part into the meat as he used the stick as a skewer. The other end of the stick was pushed into the ground, allowing the meat to cook directly from the heat of the flames.

He also tossed two large potatoes directly into the fire before he relaxed on his leaf bed.

'We should be able to reach the Black boar tribe tomorrow.'
