SSS GRADE TALENT: Master of the Heavenly Path

Chapter 81: CROSSING THEIR BORDER FOR A COMEBACK

Sean's excitement fuelled the power of his element and the crimson flame burst from him like a mighty roaring beast.

However, Reith answered just in time by forming a shield of snow.

The snow shield blocked the incoming flame, but it was too weak.

Reith could barely hold it.

"Answer me, Terra. Can you walk" Reith called to the girl who was seemingly entranced by the mesmerising flame.

Terra looked at Reith with wide eyes and his question finally registered in her head.

"Yes I can move."

Getting an affirmation from Terra, Reith turned to his best friend.

But Isho already knew what he was planning to do.

"Do not you do it"

Without waiting for Isho to complete his words, Reith lifted his hands and welded Ruach's Hana to create another tall snow tsunami.

The snow wrapped around Terra and Isho and they were raised to the sky in an instant.

At the same time, Sean's flame tore through Reith's shield, heading for his chest.

Reith twirled his staff in front of him and lightning moved and slammed into the fire.

The interaction created a large explosion, sending Reith flying into the distance.

He already knew there was no way he could beat this Sylvaris kid.

The only option was to run.

He would meet up with Isho and Terra on the other side.

The shockwave sent him towards another direction, just like he had planned but it was not without cost.

Blood trailed behind him as he ran.

"I need to rest. The blood drops would make it easier to track." Reith gritted his teeth, taking a look at the deep cut at his side.

Sean's attack had managed to hit him, creating a serious wound.

His mind went back to what Terra had said.

There were no other regions allowed to cross the regional borders.

But Reith could not take his mind off the countless points that had appeared with Sean.

If the Sylvaris students were stronger than them, that meant they had stronger beasts with even higher points.

Taking another long look at his side, Reith sucked in a deep breath.

He was not outside now, so there was no way to use healing pills. Hana would have to be absorbed in order to repair the cells, tissues, and skin.

This would be a painful process.

"I should be able to do it with Ruach's Hana." Reith mused.

He was still running.

At the very least, he needed to create a large distance between him and Sean.

On the other side of the previous blast, Sean stared at the long cut on his arm with a frown.

He had also been pushed away by the shockwave of the attack.

"That Azure fool managed to touch me. The master said they would not be able to handle me." Red lines appeared in the corner of his eyes.

"I will defeat them all." He raged and flames enveloped him as if mirroring his emotions.

Reith did not know what was currently heading for him.

His major priority was to get healed of this draining injury and then he would cross the borders.

"They would have to get a taste of their own medicine."

"Okay Ruach, I will not harm them but at least to my own benefit. I would only defeat a few beasts." Reith sighed.

He had finally found a place to get some rest and he began channelling his Hana into the injury site.

"Slow and steady or I would burst my organs."

Hana healing was a dangerous process and Reith had never tried it before.

He had only seen the theory, but what better way to test theory than through a practical, even if it meant he was his own experimental lab rat.

Ruach's voice came from behind him.

"I will regulate the Hana flow for you, but I know you can handle the rest."

Reith nodded and got to work.

As of now, he was currently sitting inside a cave with a wall of snow at the entrance.

A small tongue of flame was by his side and it was giving him the light and warmth he needed.

During the process of creating new cells, Reith wondered about Sean's moves and spells.

He noticed how the boy did not seem like he was chanting.

It was like the element bent to his will and could take any form it wanted.

"It is called Elemental Manipulation." Ruach answered his curiosity.

"It is achieved with the beginning stage of Spirit Root formation." Ruach's voice held an ethereal tone.

His words shook Reith to his core.

Sean looked very young, yet he had reached such a level of cultivation.

That was the level of a protege.

"Haha. I would never beat him." Reith spouted his self defeat.

"You ran away from him. That is a feat." Ruach chuckled with encouragement.

"The fact that you were able to utilise his ignorance to your advantage is another tremendous act. Learn to give yourself some credits."

"Just because you did not win the first time does not mean no progress was made in the process."

Reith listened intensely despite the biting pain coming from repairing his cells.

He had actually learnt something from Sean. The way he controlled his fire.

Reith was about to try something when Ruach stopped him.

"When you are fully healed, continue more of your experiments."

Meanwhile outside the arena, the audience had gone quiet.

They never expected another neighbouring region would make such a bold declaration of war.

What Sylvaris had done was nothing other than showing they were above Azure.

Liam clenched his fist and he felt the urge to fly over to Sylvaris to teach their Insignia a lesson.

He knew some strange things were going on in Sylvaris but there had never been proof.

What were they feeding their students for such immense growth.

It was almost unnatural.

---

Isho held Terra up and rested her back against a large rock before he collapsed beside her.

He frowned thinking of the move Reith had pulled.

"Take this Terra, it will help you heal faster." Isho handed a red pill to the girl.

Terra looked down and widened her eyes.

This was a S class healing pill.

It would not only renew her stamina and energy, it would also double her Hana reserves.

It was too good to accept.

She looked at this boy's face.

He had been seen with Reith a couple of times but he had a quite forgettable face.

"You would need it too, and it is too much. I can not accept it. I have some white pills and I would be saving my important pills for life threatening moments, you should too." Terra reasoned.

Isho shook his head.

"We do not have time for the slow effect of the white pills. We are already in a life threatening moment. If you have any yellow or red pills, I would advise that you use them."

He held a stern gaze, causing the woman to concede.

Terra took out a yellow pill and popped it into her mouth, relishing the release of energy.

Reith had no privilege to these kinds of pills, so he could only heal himself through will and grit.

"After thirty minutes we continue walking so we can find Reith."

Isho stated, and from the look on his face, Terra realised there was no way for a negotiation.
