SSS GRADE TALENT: Master of the Heavenly Path

Chapter 33: THE REMAINING PATH OF HIS LIFE.

It was the Regional Insignia.

The pressure filled every corner of the area, and Fidd was pressed to the ground.

Leon walked slowly through the door, his eyes scanning the area.

As every fallen body came within his sight, the pressure became heavier.

Fidd gritted his teeth. "You were not meant to be here," he growled in defiance.

Leon merely glanced at him before his vision landed on someone familiar, and his eyes narrowed.

Wasn't that the SSS child? Seeing the brutal wounds on the boy's body, his fury raged.

Leon stretched out his hand, his palm directed toward Fidd.

Fidd swallowed, wondering how he could escape what was about to befall him.

Suddenly, his stomach clenched and he realized what was going on. His eyes bulged, and he yelled in a frenzied panic.

"Please have mercy. Don't do this, please. I am sorry!" he cried, tears pouring down his cheeks.

The feeling grew denser, and dread filled Fidd. He knew what this villain was doing. His boss had done it to whoever defied him.

"Please, I don't want to die!" Fidd yelled and slammed his head on the floor. "No! No! Not yet!" He slammed his head harder, desperate to rid himself of the sickening sensation in his stomach.

Leon sighed and clenched his fist, causing Fidd's meridian core to instantly explode.

With a gasp, the pupils in Fidd's eyes turned white, and he fell to the floor.

When he was done, Leon bent down and ran a finger over Reith's swollen face.

"I'm sorry for coming late, child," he whispered, his eyes taking in everything.

At that moment, someone stepped out into the lobby.

"Fidd, do you have the healing pill? We need to leave." It was Haze, clutching what remained of him. His left shoulder, along with the arm, had been blown away.

Then he noticed the uneasy silence.

"What's going on?" His eyes landed on someone kneeling on the floor, but it wasn't his companion.

Before he could register who it was, there was a flash, and someone gripped his neck, lifting him from the floor.

"Le…on," Haze choked out.

Leon smiled, tilting his head. "I don't want to waste much time because my people need me," he said.

"So tell me, who sent you?"

Haze sneered. "Not a word."

Without hesitation, Leon tightened his hold.

After Leon was done, he made a call.

"Hey Jeran, get the medical team to the Alliance building. There have been some casualties, and unfortunately we have lost quite a few." As he spoke, he turned toward the corner, glancing at Stella's fallen body.

The medical team arrived quickly, and the whole place was cleared. The severely injured were attended to by the healing mages, and those with minor injuries and concussions were given first aid. The ones with internal injuries were sent to the hospital, and Reith was moved too.

"My magic is not able to heal him, Sir," a healer said to her superior, and the message was immediately reported to Leon.

"If we don't heal him soon, it might be too late."

Leon frowned as he heard this and quickly made a decision. "Take him to Verity. At once."

The healers moved him into their vehicle and rushed to the city capital.

"I don't know why I couldn't heal him." The healer looked to her friend and palmed her face. "It's like his body keeps rejecting my magic."

Her friend pulled her closer. "It wouldn't be your fault if something happens. We just need to get him to Verity, and she will know what to do."

The ambulance sped up and quickly arrived at the healing centre.

Reith was pushed on a stretcher and taken to the highest room of the healing centre.

"Miss Verity, the Regional Insignia instructed us to bring this man to you."

At the sound of their voice, a fairly young woman stepped out of the room.

She looked at Reith and beckoned them inside.

"Thank you for bringing him. You can take your leave now," she said with a smile, bowing with her two hands tucked within her sleeves.

Verity took a good look at the boy lying on the bed.

"So this is the child Jeran told me about," she muttered and placed her palm over his body.

Then her eyes widened, and she flinched backward. "What is this intense magical presence?" she gasped. In her lifetime of more than two centuries, she had never seen anything like it.

She inspected closer. "It's not from the boy?" Verity placed her hand under her chin.

She moved closer to him.

This room was rich in Hana, and it wasn't just any Hana—it was concentrated Hana, the purest in all of the regional capital, excluding the Regional Insignia's personal room.

"Please wait a little longer, child." Verity smiled slowly as she activated her healing power and channeled the pure Hana into the boy's body.

Hours passed, and then Reith inhaled sharply.

His shallow breathing became heavier, steadier, and his complexion began to clear.

Verity removed her hand from him and wiped the thick beads of sweat from her forehead.

It was one of the longest healing sessions she had ever had.

But for this boy to function on pure, natural Hana—wouldn't this be a problem for him in the future?

Verity sighed. She did not want to think too much about it. At least he was no longer in danger.

The remaining path of his life would be decided by the boy alone.

She stepped away from the bed and walked to her communication room.

With such a case, she had to give a report to Leon.

"I wonder what that little rascal was doing for such a disaster to happen." Verity pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Yes, Verity." A voice sounded from the other side after the call went through. "How is the boy?" Leon asked.

"Forget that. Where were you when it all happened?" Verity scoffed, her tone sharp.

Leon gave an awkward chuckle. "It was an important meeting with the heads of the other regions."

Verity raised a brow. "Did someone else know that you would not be present in town?" she pondered quietly.

"It was a message passed only to Regional heads."
