SSS Cosmic Policing System: Overpowered Cop's Odyssey

Chapter 101: Nemesis Order Bearer

Roy gazed at the semi-reflective glass before him. To be exact, he was staring at a notification blaring in his vision:

[Warning!!! Highly Dangerous Trespassers detected!]

His vision flickered between blurry and clear.

"How long have I been out?" He wondered as a stinging migraine assailed his head.

"S-shit… what the hell…" He gasped as he clutched both sides of his skull.

Memories of what happened seconds before he delved into unconsciousness flashed before him:

1 Mythic Gacha Featured Pack!]

Roy chuckled wryly after reading through them. It really was worth it.

The life-and-death struggle against those creatures had been worth every second.

If anything, that Mythic Featured Pack alone was enough to keep him laughing even in his sleep.

He teleported himself out of the pod, his feet coming in contact with the cold metal ground of the bunker.

He glanced around the room, seeing how advanced everything looked. He couldn't help but wonder again:

"Really… how long have I been unconscious?"

He shook his head. The only way to get an answer to that question was to ask one of his subordinates.

He took a step forward… Creakkkkk! The metal surface dented beneath his weight.

As though in response, a notification popped into his view:

[Host has assimilated the Blessings of subordinate Ethan. Host now has a super nano-bionic reinforced physique!

Host will be able to heal faster under the instant repairs of super nano-bionics…

Host will be able to display two times more physical capacity under nano-bionic reinforcement.]

Roy scratched his head.

"Ethan, huh? He must have found greater ways to display his skills."

He also realized something: he had been out for so long, and his physique had improved so much, he couldn't seem to control his strength properly.

He was planning to reach for the distant indented beast crystal powering the equipment — his body was starving for energy.

But since the act of walking seemed hazardous for him, he decided to reach directly for the crystals with his senses alone.

And it worked. Fluorescent ether flowed from the numerous ether crystals, forming streams leading to his body.

This was most definitely due to the enhancement of his perception from the new mutated attribute Will.

It was really satisfying to see his progress with his own eyes. He had come a long way from day one.

He reached for his connection to space — it was time to get out of here.

He vanished, appearing in a random street of his city, one he couldn't recognize anymore.

He stared wide-eyed at the paved sidewalks, roving cars, towering skyscrapers, and the two-story building… the evolved form of his outpost.

Roy almost burst into tears. Finally, he had been released from having a tiny humble construct as the core building of his empire.

He glanced at the officers patrolling in the distance. He felt excited and gratified.

"Richard… it was really the best choice to leave things in your hands."

Now he wanted nothing more than to find them. Things might have felt like a short nap to him, but he wasn't stupid.

He saw the advancements made in the territory — these weren't progress that could be achieved in days or weeks.

He headed straight for the gates. The system had warned him against trespassers, so obviously the Captains had to be at the Aegis.

And so he headed there, taking his time appreciating the view of what his city had now become.

Bystanders glanced at him oddly but didn't think much since he didn't seem to be causing trouble.

Before long, he arrived at the Aegis. Police officers lined the gates, assault weapons held fast, fully geared in armor.

He smiled as he stepped forward. Roy right now was wearing nothing but plain silk trousers, which made him stand out.

One of the guards frowned, his grip around his gun tightening, as he was about to step forward and reprimand Roy.

But he froze. An irresistible reverence budded from his soul… This wasn't only singular to him — it happened to all of them on sight.

A suffocating pressure beared on them, their minds suddenly going foggy...

Loud thudding sounds rang out. Before they could even realize what was going on, they were all on a knee.

"Greetings, Lord!" One of the soldiers was quick to call.

Others were startled. Lord? Their Lord? They thought he was in a coma — was he up?

Roy's eyes lit up as he glanced at the soldier who greeted him.

"You know me?"

The soldier's helm bobbed up and down.

"Yes. I was opportune to get a glimpse of his grace before the battle against the calamity, when you briefed us!"

Roy smiled appreciatively.

"Good. Do you know how long I've been asleep?"

The soldier remained silent for a few seconds, then replied solemnly.

"It's been two months, your grace…"

"Two months…" Roy muttered under his breath. That long? He pondered.

"Sigh… time lost is lost. Where's Richard and the others?" Roy requested.

"Head Captain Richard and some of the Captains are back at the office having a meeting with guests… and the others went to face the intruders."

"I see…" Roy was about to make another request when suddenly—

[Warning!!! A Nemesis Order bearer has trespassed into your territory!]

[Warning!!! A Nemesis Order bearer has trespassed into your territory!]

[Warning!!! A Nemesis Order bearer has trespassed into your territory!]

The blaring alert popped up thrice, meaning there were three dreadful individuals in his territory.

Roy frowned and didn't hesitate. His figure vanished… He had just awakened, but trouble was already locating him.
