Chapter 580: You imbecile!
While Damon was not sure if this was still enough to contain the entirety of the primordial mana core when all of it was unleashed, he was now surely able to house the core that had only four more seals around it. If he pushed it, he had a feeling he could even bear unlocking a couple more seals.
His mind was also constantly being strengthened by his soul sea and in a few days, his mind also would be at par with his body and be able to handle the primordial mana core in its semi-sealed state.
The only problem now was his soul. It was still weak and pitiful.
Damon let out a sigh and shook his head. One problem at a time.
For now, he was satisfied with this progress. He had never thought that he would be able to complete the second cycle of the Nine Million Poison Body with just this game world. He thought he would have to use his cosmic vessel and venture out into the vast wild cosmos.
But he was definitely mistaken. There were unexpected monsters hidden even in this world.
Damon looked up sensing the profound aura seeping out of the monster that had only just now emerged from the depths of the world. His blood boiled with the anticipation of devouring it. He at least wanted to fight it and see just how strong it was.
If he did not finish the second cycle of his Nine Million Poison Body, he would have never harbored such thoughts in his mind. This thing that floated above him was definitely another calamity, probably one similar to that abyss world.
However, now that he managed to finish the second cycle and unlocked more features of the technique, he was somewhat confident of at least being able to survive the fight.
There was also one more thing.
His body had already assimilated the poison running in the veins of that monster. So if his assumptions were correct, then right from the beginning, one of them would be fighting a losing battle!
It was an unfair advantage that he possessed over a creature which would otherwise exterminate him in a single move but he did not care. This world was unfair.
Damon shot up towards the sky without anymore hesitation in his eyes. It was time to face the monstrosity and once and for all truly establish who was the poison boss of this world.
The dunes above exploded outward as Damon tore through the ground like a spear of venomous light, shattering layers of rock and sand in his ascent. The storm of miasma parted around him as if recognizing its master. The world trembled under his emergence.
Above, the sky was already darkened. Not by clouds, but by the colossal silhouette of the creature that had risen from the depths. Its wings were translucent and veined like molten glass, dripping liquid venom that turned the air into shimmering waves of death.
Countless eyes blinked across its chitinous body, each one pulsing with eerie emerald light. It was the embodiment of poison given sentience, the apex brood of a thousand generations of corrupted evolution.
The Broodmother's gaze fell upon Damon, and the pressure alone split dunes and ruptured the surface of the desert. Yet Damon did not falter. His expression was calm, his smile razor-sharp. His body was now strong enough to withstand this much pressure.
"So you're the mother of all these pests." He smiled calmly as his gaze darted towards the numerous figures staring at the two of them in shock. Many of them had already been poisoned and were looking at him desperately for salvation.
Damon only let out a cold laugh as system contracts went up in front of all of them. The same slave contract. If they wanted to live, they could do under his rule.
These were not kind gentle souls. Their hands were also steeped in blood just like his was. He had no qualms about shoving slave contracts in front of them.
Besides, one among them was a talented beast tamer, talented enough to create a monstrosity like this standing in front of him. This alone was enough to make him reconsider his earlier decision of simply eradicating the whole bunch.
Damon finished this small side business and shifted his attention back to the broodmother. Obviously, he did not expect any of them to sign just yet so he simply healed his two allies and ordered them to get far away from this whole mess.
The two elders seemed reluctant to miss such a grand showdown but they were also terrified of the broodmother at the same time. They did not need to be told twice and immediately teleported to their base.
Now only the Beast Lords order members were left. They could only look enviously at the two old men who were cured in a jiffy and now had also fled the scene. But the same time, they did not care about it too much. This was because they knew that everything was hopeless.
Even if the two had managed to flee right now, this monstrosity that had exploded from the depths of the cavern was strong enough to turn this entire world into a poison wasteland. So was there even any point in running away?
Damon grinned. He could clearly read the thoughts of these guys. There was no point in talking to them. Only action was left. His aura soared as he prepared to make a move when suddenly another five figures appeared near him.
"You imbecile! You arrogant fool! I was still in the process of taming the broodmother! Why did you awaken her?!" A man who was pitch black from top to bottom, except for a pair of amber eyes dashed forward.
"Hmph. Intruders in our land! Acting all high and mighty with just a little power. You bloodsuckers should have stayed back in the Crimson Mountains, with your tail tucked like always." This time it was a woman. She floated effortlessly in the air, wind picking up speed around her.
There were three others who had showed up and all three of them venomously glared at Damon with unbridled hatred in their eyes.
