SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God

Chapter 429: Just let go and enjoy the ride

"Why do you all look so shocked? I can tame a couple of beasts. It's not a big deal." Damon chuckled.

Mark sighed and turned around, going back to his rest while Kate cautiously walked forward to take a closer look at the bird. "You can come as close as you want. She won't bite."

Kate's steps slowed as she neared the towering beast. The Roc's molten eyes followed her every movement, the heat radiating from its feathers forcing her to squint against the shimmering air. When she was just a few paces away, the great bird gave a low, rumbling screech which made her take a step back.

"Don't trust the demon, my Lord." Erin immediately snorted in contempt. It was clear that she hated the damned bird.

"You guys. Just relax. There is a taming contract in place. Just go and pat her." Seeing that Kate was still hesitant, Damon walked over and personally lifted Kate up.

Kate blinked, startled as Damon effortlessly scooped her into his arms. "D-Damon! Put me down!" she stammered, clutching at his shoulder as if the ground were already miles below them.

But Damon only smirked and carried her up to the Roc, setting her gently onto the beast's broad back. "Relax. You've got the safest seat in the Bloodlands now." He gave the Roc's molten feathers a casual pat, ignoring the faint hiss of residual heat. "She won't bite. Not unless I tell her to."

Kate swallowed hard, her legs stiff as boards as she sank against the Roc's back. "This is insane…" she whispered, though her trembling hands slowly brushed against the demon bird's plumage. Surprisingly, the feathers felt smooth and soft even though everything was hot as hell. Kate was barely able to withstand it.

"Can you make it less hot?" Damon smiled wryly, and the roc reluctantly obeyed.

Erin snorted, her serpentine body coiling tighter. "My Lord, this is foolish. That foul beast doesn't deserve to carry you and my lady. It will betray you the first chance it gets."

The Roc gave an indignant screech, molten eyes narrowing at Erin as if it understood every word. Sparks of demonfire crackled along its feathers. Damon chuckled, clearly entertained. "Oh, don't be jealous, Erin. You're still my number one. This one's just… transportation."

Kate let out a shaky laugh despite herself, gripping onto Damon's arm. "Transportation? Damon, this 'transportation' feels like it could turn me into ash if it sneezes wrong!"

Damon leaned closer, whispering with a teasing grin, "Then you better hold on tight, Kate. Because I'm about to tell her to take off."

The Roc gave a deep, rumbling screech, wings twitching as if impatient to launch skyward. Damon smirked and tapped its molten feathers once. "Alright, bird. Show her how smooth you can fly."

Kate's eyes widened in horror. "Wait. No, no, no! Damon, I'm not ready…" Her protest was drowned out by a thunderous BOOM as the Roc's colossal wings slammed down.

The ground split beneath the gust, sending sand, stone, and stray merfolk tumbling back. Then, with a second beat of its wings, the Roc leapt skyward like a living catapult, carrying Kate and Damon with it.

"DAAAAMOOON!" Kate shrieked, her arms snapping tight around his waist. The wind howled past them, her hair whipping wildly as the outpost below became nothing more than a scattering of tiny dots. Damon threw his head back and laughed, crimson eyes gleaming with exhilaration. "See? Not so bad, is it?"

"Not so…BAD?!" Kate's voice cracked between terror and awe. "We're hundreds of feet in the air! This thing is a flying bonfire! I can't even… AAH!" The Roc tilted deliberately, swooping into a wide arc, its molten feathers streaming embers like a comet's tail. Kate screamed again, burying her face into Damon's chest.

Down below, Mark sighed heavily, shaking his head. "She's going to murder him once they land." Erin hissed disapprovingly, her tail lashing against the ground. Ellora, however, watched with a small smile, her eyes gleaming with something between envy and admiration.

High above, Damon leaned close to Kate's ear. "Relax. I've got you. You're safe." He patted the Roc's feathers, and the beast steadied into a graceful glide. The view stretched endlessly.

Kate dared to peek down and gasped, her terror momentarily forgotten. "It's… beautiful." Her grip loosened just slightly, though her other hand still clutched Damon's shirt for dear life.

She barely got a couple of seconds to enjoy the view when she felt her clothes loosening and a pair of hands groping her, squeezing her breasts like there was no tomorrow. "Damon! What are you doing?"

Damon laughed. "Why don't you just keep enjoying the view? Leave the other things to me."

Other things? Who the fuck would want to do these other things when they were hundreds of feet above ground, strapped to a flying bonfire of a bird?

Kate rolled her eyes, shaking her head, ready to snap at the madman beside her. But she could only let slip a moan as the strong hands squeezed her breasts with desire.

"Damon. Don't we have a lot of work to do… You still have to take the outpost quest… nnngh." Damon did not let her finish her words, as he closed her lips with his. He slid his tongue inside while his hands made sure all of the clothing had come off.

"I am multitasking," Damon responded when he was done kissing her. "We are mapping out shit right now."

"We are not."

Damon's hands were on her, exploring every curve and crevice, his touch both gentle and demanding. She gasped as his fingers traced the line of her spine, sending shivers of pleasure down her back.

Damon chuckled. "Oh, we absolutely are. We're charting new territory, aren't we?" His hands moved to her hips, pulling her flush against him, and she could feel the hard length of his arousal pressing against her.

"Trust me, Kate," He went right in as Kate bit her lips. "I've got this. I've got you. Just let go and enjoy the ride."
