SSR Waifu Summoner

Chapter 105: Base Operation Found!

"Yes, yes, the summoner, I gathered that much."

Luna waved dismissively, already turning her attention back to analyzing the soul connection she could apparently see and analyze.

"It's less important than understanding how this binding works. Can't you see? The theoretical implications behind it alone could revolutionize another set of possibilities for another set of academics and applications!"

"!!!"

Aurelia's hand finally moved to her sword hilt, pointing the tip of her blade towards her.

The dismissive gesture, the casual disregard for proper respect toward Nero.

This time, the little lady has gone overboard in her opinion.

The Valkyrie's instincts flared dangerously, divine pressure beginning to radiate from her in waves.

"You will show proper respect."

Aurelia's voice was cold and controlled, but was certainly carrying an edge that promised violence if her warning was ignored.

"Lord Nero is not your research assistant. He is the one who summoned us… Our master that needs to be addressed properly and accordingly."

"..."

Luna's attention finally shifted from magical theory to the angel warrior.

Her analytical gaze studied Aurelia with the same intensity she'd been applying to the soul binding.

Then her eyes narrowed.

"I don't respond well to threats."

Multiple magical circles materialized in the air around Luna without any visible chanting or hand gestures.

Fire, ice, lightning, wind – different elements represented in complex geometric patterns that appeared simultaneously.

"... H-Hey, isn't this bad?"

"Y-Yeah…"

"For it to radiate this much pressure! How strong are those magic circles…?"

"... She did it without casting too."

"I think we should fall back, sis…"

"Mhm…"

The six girls gasped audibly.

Casting multiple spells at once without incantations was supposed to be impossible.

Even skilled mages needed verbal components and gestures for precise control.

But Luna had conjured multiple different elemental circles as casually as breathing.

"I am the Great Sage of the Aether," she stated with cold pride. "I've spent centuries perfecting magical theory. I won't be pushed around by anyone, bound or not."

*Creak… creak…*

The tension in the clearing spiked dramatically, making the space around them creak from the power released by two SSR-tier beings.

Aurelia's silvery divine energy clashed against Luna's assembled multi-spell circles.

Two incredibly powerful beings on the verge of combat.

But then,

"Both of you, cease at once."

Celis's gentle voice cut through the confrontation like a knife.

"..."

Both women immediately paused, turning to look at the Saintess.

Her expression remained serene, but something in her tone carried absolute authority.

"'Tis rude to fight before our Savior," she continued calmly while walking towards them. "Both of thee should show more consideration."

She looked at Luna directly.

"Thou art bound to serve Lord Nero through his unique summoning abilities. This is fact, not negotiation. Cooperation will benefit everyone involved, including thy research interests."

"..."

Then to Aurelia.

"And thou, dear Aurelia, must show patience. Our new companion requireth time to adjust to circumstances beyond her control."

"..."

Both women stepped back reluctantly.

Aurelia's hand left her sword hilt, though her gaze remained distinctly narrowed and cold towards Luna.

Luna's magical circles dispersed, though her prideful expression didn't soften either.

Celis's experience as a Saintess had clearly given her skills in mediation that were proving invaluable right now.

"So."

Nero decided to take control of the situation before tensions could reignite, though one could see that he is oddly unbothered considering two of his summons were about to fight right now.

"Let me explain properly. I have a unique ability that lets me summon powerful individuals to serve as companions. You're one of those summons now, Luna. Your soul is bound to my system through mechanisms I don't fully understand myself, as unfortunate as that sounds to you."

He kept his tone respectful but firm.

"I summoned you because I need information and expertise. We're also trying to establish a base of operations, and we need someone with knowledge of geography, spatial magic, and general scholarly understanding of how this merged world works."

Luna's analytical mind visibly processed this, her irritation gradually shifting back to curiosity.

"A base of operations," she repeated thoughtfully. "And you thought my expertise would be valuable for that purpose?"

"Exactly."

"Hmm…"

She continued her contemplation, clearly weighing options despite the binding that technically gave her no choice in the matter.

"I suppose if I'm stuck being summoned anyway, I might as well make myself useful. The binding prevents me from simply leaving, after all."

A calculating smile crossed her delicate features.

"And the research opportunities this situation presents are too valuable to ignore out of spite. Studying the binding mechanism, observing dimensional merger effects firsthand, accessing whatever system granted you these abilities..."

Her eyes practically gleamed despite her composed demeanor.

"Yes. This could prove quite productive for my studies."

Then she looked directly at Nero, her expression shifting to something between amusement and mild disdain.

"Though I must say, for a 'master' it would be rather pitiful if you didn't have a proper base of operations. Can't have that, can we?"

*Click.*

Just as Aurelia was about to draw her blade once more at the clear mockery, Nero raised his hand signaling her to stop.

His laid-back attitude remained completely unshaken despite the condescending attitude.

Looking at the smart mage, he then casually shrugged as a reply and then,

"Shucks! I guess you have to settle with the poor me~! Your master is indeed stuck wandering without a home~! Surely, the everly great Luna-sama won't leave her precious Master after all that, right~?"

He clutched his chest dramatically, playing up the exaggeration.

"..."

Luna's eye twitched, feeling her pride irked.

The clear provocation annoyed her on some level, though a bit of amusement flickered through her beneath the irritation.

Looks like her new "master" has a way of tongue.

Then, without further ceremony, she raised one hand.

*Whoosh…*

Spatial magic coalesced into a shimmering portal, its edges forming with mathematical precision.

The dimensional gate stabilized instantly, showing a glimpse of somewhere else entirely through its surface.

"Well then," Luna announced with obvious pride in her work. "Since you need a base, allow me to show you mine. Or rather, what will become yours now, I suppose."

She gestured toward the portal with theatrical flair.

"After you, 'master.'"

The sarcastic emphasis on the title made Nero grin.

'Yeah, she's definitely going to be interesting to have around.'

Normally, he would be annoyed at this kind of bratty attitude.

But for some reason, he didn't.

'Is it because she's a waifu and has a talent to support her big words?'

Or maybe because she looks cute whenever she looks irritated.

'Looks like I found the crazily scholar tsundere of my harem then.'

Not to mention,

'It would also be fun to tease her…' A playful grin settled on his lips as he thought about the future.

"...?!"

Luna's hair stood up for some reason.

'What was that just now?'

She thought as Nero proceeded with a smile, stepping inside the portal without so much a thought about it.

Shaking her head, dismissing it as some nausea, Luna soon followed along with Aurelia and Celis at her back.

"..."

The six girls exchanged unsure glances first before approaching the portal, following suit.

Upon arriving, it was then…

"Wow…"

They all witness paradise.

If Eden is ever to exist just like in the Bible, this would be it.

At least, that's what everyone thought when greeted by the environment inside.

"Wow… this looks amazing…" Carmen commented as her gaze ran through the scenery.

Rolling fields of vibrant green grass stretched in every direction, dotted with clusters of trees whose leaves shimmered with colors that seemed slightly too vivid to be natural.

Flowers bloomed in patterns that suggested careful cultivation rather than wild growth.

Small streams wound through the landscape, their water crystal clear and sparkling in sunlight.

Actual, normal sunlight.

"..."

Nero looked up and saw a proper blue sky.

Not the violet-tinged atmosphere of the Reformed Earth outside.

Just pure, beautiful blue with white clouds drifting lazily across it.

A single sun – the familiar yellow star rather than the Saturn-like replacement – shone warmly overhead.

"Amazing," Frila breathed.

"How is this possible?" Zara wondered aloud.

In the far western distance, a structure rose against the horizon.

Not quite a mansion, but definitely more than a simple house.

A villa, Nero noted.

Multi-story, elegant architecture that blended natural materials with obvious magical enhancement.

Perfectly maintained despite Luna presumably being the only resident.

The entire space felt like a pocket dimension.

A self-contained world separate from the chaos outside.

Protected, peaceful, and absolutely perfect for their needs.

Luna stepped through the portal last, her smug satisfaction practically radiating from her petite form.

"Welcome," she announced with obvious pride, "to my humble abode."

The portal sealed behind them with a soft shimmer, cutting off their view of the forest clearing they'd left.

Nero looked around at the impossible beauty of this hidden sanctuary.

At the villa in the distance that promised comfort and security.

At the blue sky that felt like a piece of the old world preserved.

'This...'

A slow grin spread across his face.

'This is perfect.'

… The base for their operation has been found!
