Luo Zheng shook his head with a dejected look, "I'd like to know that too, when she could come back."

"Has something happened to her?" Luo Qianyu guessed the reason immediately.

"My elder sister was taken by human traffickers; we've had no news of her since. You're friends with Brother Lu, could you pass this message to him?" Luo Zheng looked at Luo Qianyu with hope. Since the elder sister mentioned that Brother Lu could very likely become her future brother-in-law, it made sense to inform Brother Lu of her disappearance—perhaps he could find her.

Luo Qianyu frowned and handed the things in her hand to Luo Zheng. "Don't worry, I'll call Lu Hanmo," she said. "I have to go now." For some reason, hearing that Luo Shu had met with trouble left her feeling somewhat disturbed and agitated.

Watching Luo Qianyu's figure disappear, Luo Zheng sighed deeply and turned back into the yard.
