Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1950: Big Dipper Star Origin, Big Ladle Pt.4

In the Heaven Observation Star Region, the return of the Essence Luxuriant Fleet that dragged two Spirit Worlds stunned every other Heavenly Field in the region.

During the process, there were indeed some forces that coveted the fleet's spoils.

However, due to the celestial phenomenon, the Void Mirage, most of the Sages in the Heaven Observation Star Region were locked in a delicate balance, mutually restraining one another and unable to act rashly. Not only was the Star Origin Lord included in the mix, but even Kou Chongxue himself.

Even for those Sages who remained on the sidelines... They couldn't forget that the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field was home to another Sage other than Kou Chongxue. Moreover, the overwhelming strength displayed by the suddenly emerging fleet shocked everyone who noticed it.

As a result, no force dared to interfere as the massive fleet dragged the Spirit Worlds back to the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field.

With the assistance of the fleet, two Spirit Worlds entered the Essence Luxuriant World, gradually merging into the Heavenly Field.

Of course, the integration couldn't happen overnight. Even with the full cooperation of local cultivators and spiritual beasts from both worlds, as well as external support from the Essence Luxuriant World, Spirit Qing World, and Spirit Cheng World, it would still take years.

But once the process began, the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field's growth would no longer be halted.

During that time, the Formation Masters and Stargazers of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field would have their hands full.

In particular, the integration of the worlds required close coordination between both worlds.

Yet on one particular day, during routine surveying and maintenance, every single Stargazer suddenly stopped their tasks at the same moment. Suspended in the void, they gazed toward a particular direction deep within the sea of stars.

In that direction, from the depths of what was once a dark and obscure region of space, seven celestial bodies abruptly burst with great brilliance. From a distance, those stars appeared to be arranged in the shape of a ladle.

Even though most of them were Astrologers or those of lower rank, they were able to clearly observe the stellar change without assistance from the Star Observatory or other instruments, using only the rudimentary skills they had learned.

The Formation Masters, who typically collaborated closely with them, were forced to halt their tasks due to the sudden daze of their buddies.

Though puzzled, they understood it had to relate to a celestial phenomenon and refrained from disturbing them. They went so far as to create safe, stable conditions to allow uninterrupted observation.

This stellar anomaly, the sudden illumination of the seven stars, lasted for nearly two to three days. During that time, most of the Stargazers remained frozen, creating one of the most surreal spectacles the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field had seen in recent years.

During that time, many worried about whether something had gone wrong with the Stargazers. But after the matter was reported through proper channels, orders swiftly arrived.

"Protect them at all costs! Do not interrupt them!"

Not only that, soon after, several True Immortals from the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field appeared in the void, each personally safeguarding a Stargazer.

Roughly two days later, the radiance of those seven stars began to dim and gradually faded back into the background of the void, indistinguishable from any ordinary celestial body.

And over the course of that day, the previously dazed Stargazers slowly awakened.

As they snapped back to reality, many instinctively performed more refined and complex stargazing techniques than before. At least half of them experienced a qualitative leap in their skills. Most of them ascended a rank.

Even among those who didn't immediately advance, their stargazing arts had grown substantially and were only a step away from the next breakthrough.

The originally weakest and newest school of experts in the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field, the Startgazers, had, through this collective transformation, begun to catch up to other established professions like alchemists and blacksmiths.

Although there remained a considerable gap between them and the strongest groups, such as Talisman Masters and Formation Masters, the newly advanced Stargazers were capable of holding their own.

Interestingly, a similar group transformation among Stargazers also occurred in the Four Essence Heavenly Field.

However, unlike the members of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field, those in the Four Essence Heavenly Field who were led by Xing Xingtian, reacted far more slowly.

At first, when Xing Xingtian and a few senior Stargazers detected the anomaly in the deep void, they merely recorded it as an ordinary celestial event. Only a handful of them were aware of it.

It wasn't until several of them, during extended observation, suddenly realized their skills were improving at an unusual rate that the upper echelons of the Four Essence Heavenly Field took notice.

Even then, they remained unsure whether the anomaly was linked to the advancement of their stargazing techniques, as their observational tasks weren't limited to the specific phenomenon.

It wasn't until an emergency transmission crossed the void from the Void Mirage to land in the hands of the most senior True Immortal and rank six Grand Stargazer, Xing Xingtian, that the situation became clear.

Within the transmission, the Star Origin Lord himself issued a grave and unequivocal directive. The Seven Star Phenomenon was caused by Shang Xia mobilizing his Fate Stars and Xing Xingtian, and the rest were ordered to "do whatever it takes to pinpoint the exact spatial coordinates of the seven stars and observe what was happening in that region of space."

Only then did Xing Xingtian realize the true gravity of the event. He immediately mobilized every available resource and personnel to launch an all-out monitoring operation focused on that Star Region.

But by then, nearly an entire day had already passed since the onset of the Seven Star Phenomenon.

When everything was finally in place, Xing Xingtian personally took up position at the Star Observatory. With all auxiliary measures activated, he cast his stargazing arts to the limit.

What appeared in his field of observation was a world located at the bowl of the ladle-like formation.

In the very next instant, that already-ruined world was pierced from four different directions by horrifying beams of stellar radiance erupting from the surrounding void. Its only remaining affiliated Spirit World was immediately erased by one of the beams, with nearly half of it obliterated. Its core world was sliced through by two other beams, its sky shattered, its continents crumbled and split apart...

The final beam of stellar light stopped somewhere in the void and was inexplicably weakened by more than half...

But by then, none of that mattered anymore.

What mattered was the fact that Xing Xingtian had personally witnessed the final collapse and annihilation of an entire Heavenly Field.
