Chapter 1938: Starting The Journey Back
If rank seven Formation Talismans could be considered a good harvest, Shang Xia's inspiration into the technique on how to solidify origin qi was undoubtedly a major breakthrough.
His External Avatar had originally wanted to ask if Shang Xia had made any other progress, but before he could speak, they were interrupted by a Star Ship that had returned.
By the time Shang Xia and His External Avatar stepped out of the cabin, the returning Star Ship had already docked beside the Jiao Continent. Song Zhen, along with another high-level True Immortal, disembarked.
Shang Xia was visibly surprised when he saw the newcomer, but his surprise quickly turned to joy. "Senior Sister Sun, you've reached the level of Dao Harmony?"
The newcomer was none other than Sun Haiwei, the newly appointed head instructor of the Tongyou Institution.
Sun Haiwei had always been a rare martial arts prodigy in the institution and had long been valued and nurtured by Kou Chongxue. Even Shang Xia had assisted her on numerous occasions.
She didn't let any of them down. Her cultivation speed and combat strength had consistently been at the forefront of her peers, not only within the institution but across the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field.
In fact, had it not been for Shang Xia, a freak who defied all logic, Sun Haiwei would have been considered the brightest star in the Tongyou Institution after Kou Chongxue.
Yet even so, she remained unaffected, always advancing her cultivation with solid, steady progress.
If not for a serious injury sustained during her initial breakthrough into the Martial Void Realm years ago, which caused her cultivation to stall for several years, she likely would have become a high-level True Immortal much sooner.
However, the moment Shang Xia laid eyes on her, he could sense that her dantian was full, and her inner qi was aligned in seamless unity with her. It was a clear sign of her deep foundations. It was evident that while her earlier injury had slowed her progress, it had also granted her an even more solid base to continue progressing.
Sun Haiwei smiled. "I've spent these years diligently cultivating in our Heavenly Field. I'm just glad I made some progress in the end."
After exchanging a few brief greetings, they moved on to discuss the matter of the fleet from the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field that came to receive them.
"After Song Zhen sent the Hidden Frost Sword back to the Heaven Observation Star Region, the patriarch received the message you had left behind. He immediately dispatched his External Avatar to relay the news back to our world. The major Elysiums then took the lead in forming a fleet and selecting elite cultivators to prepare for the operation."
"Fortunately, our Heavenly Field had already been allocating substantial resources to Star Ship construction, so we were able to gather the fleet in a relatively short time. I personally carried the Hidden Frost Sword and, along with Gu Mingzheng and others, led the fleet here." Sun Haiwei quickly outlined the events surrounding the assembly and dispatch of their fleet.
Shang Xia listened attentively, then nodded slowly. "Was the journey smooth? Did you encounter any danger along the way?"
Sun Haiwei smiled. "There were indeed some prying eyes along the way. But thanks to the Hidden Frost Sword, those observers sensed the presence of a Sage and chose not to provoke us. Once we entered the Original Star Corner, it seemed the great spatial vortex had drawn the attention of too many forces, so the journey remained quite calm."
At that point, Song Zhen added in excitement, "Sage Shang, you might not be aware yet, but True Immortal Sun brought the You Continent!"
"Oh?!" Shang Xia's eyes lit up. He naturally understood that the You Continent was the super Star Ship the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field had been constructing.
Although he had anticipated its completion, hearing the confirmation from Song Zhen still filled him with excitement.
Song Zhen continued, "Back when I was roaming the Chaotic Sea of Stars, I saw several super Star Ships. But I can confidently say that the You Continent is far superior to any of them! Whether in size or power, it far exceeds the other super Star Ships I've seen."
Sun Haiwei added, "Our relatively smooth journey to the Original Stars Corner is as much the You Continent's might as the presence of the Hidden Frost Sword. Just our Star Ship alone discouraged many Star Pirate groups from messing around."
Shang Xia's External Avatar could no longer contain his curiosity. "After hearing you praise it so much, I'm itching to see the You Continent for myself."
Then he turned to Shang Xia and asked, "Shall we set out from the void currents now?"
Shang Xia smiled. "Not yet. Once we emerge from the void current, the resulting disturbance won't go unnoticed. We'll definitely attract the attention of the surrounding Heavenly Fields. Let's prepare thoroughly before making any moves, just to be safe."
With that, he turned to Sun Haiwei and asked in a serious voice, "Senior Sister Sun, how many ships are in the fleet you brought?"
Seeing Shang Xia's expression grow serious, Sun Haiwei also became more composed and replied formally, "In addition to our super Star Ship, we have three large Star Ships, the Bei Continent, Yong Continent, and Jing Continent. We have 10 medium Star Ships. A True Immortal is stationed on every Star Ship."
Even Shang Xia was taken aback by the scale of the fleet. He couldn't help but gasp, "I didn't realize our Heavenly Field had amassed so much resources!"
The forces that had secretly spied the fleet on its journey likely refrained from making a move not only due to the threat of the You Continent and Kou Chongxue's divine weapon, but more importantly, because of their sheer size.
In the Chaotic Sea of Stars, only the largest Star Pirate fleets that were backed by Essence Worlds that were controlled by Sages, could field a fleet of such magnitude.
Sun Haiwei finally chuckled, "To be honest, assembling this fleet has pretty much drained our reserves. At present, there are no more large Star Ships available, and several long-range routes through the sea of stars have been suspended. Only the shorter routes can still be maintained with small and medium Star Ships."
"Moreover, aside from a few True Immortals stationed in our Heavenly Field, the rest had been mobilized!"
"Well... You can say that our Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field is an empty shell now."
As Shang Xia and Sun Haiwei spoke, the return of Song Zhen had alerted the other high-level True Immortals on the other ships. They arrived one after another. Among them, the Ying Brothers and the Giant Ape King looked the most conflicted.
Shang Xia swept his gaze calmly across the group and said slowly, "You've all heard the news. Go prepare yourselves. We'll soon begin our journey back to the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field."
