Peter remained rooted in place, staring at Diana, while Nubia looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

Diana had her hands under her breasts, which made them stand out more prominently, as she glared at the two of them, her brows furrowed in frustration.

"Did you not hear what I said? Can someone explain what's going on here and why you're covering yourselves with blankets?"

Nubia smiled at Diana, placing her right hand on her cheek while her left held the blanket that was covering her body.

"Didn't you figure it out, Diana? Obviously, we're covering ourselves because we're naked. And this morning? Well, it means my Spider and I had a lovely time last night."

Diana gritted her teeth slightly."Are you seriously joking, sister? You, with a man?"

Nubia shrugged her shoulders."What can I say? I've always been drawn to the Spider."

Peter blinked twice and thought, Wait a minute. Didn't she say it was because I'm a reincarnation of Anansi or something like that? Despite his thoughts, the spider-themed hero said nothing, fearing attention would turn to him.

Unfortunately, while he hoped to remain on the sidelines and avoid involvement, Diana's next words made him groan internally in shock.

"Are you kidding me, Nubia? Are you doing this because I told you I liked him, or is this some petty revenge for finding you with Artemis back when we lived on Paradise Island?" Diana shouted, drawing her sword from her back, while Nubia prepared to fight, unarmed.

Seeing things spiral out of control, Peter quickly jumped between the two, placing a hand in front of each."Calm down, ladies, please. We don't need any fighting here. It's not worth it."

In his attempt to mediate, Peter forgot that he had been using his hands to secure the blanket covering his body. It fell, leaving him completely exposed.

Nubia licked her lips, while Diana stared wide-eyed, her gaze scanning every muscle of his body before fixating on his third leg, her thoughts becoming hazy.'Oh my, it's three times bigger than Superman's. Is that even normal?'

Realizing Diana's stare, Peter looked down and saw the blanket had fallen. He quickly bent down to retrieve it, causing both women's eyes to fall on his backside. The same thought crossed their minds simultaneously: It's so firm.

Peter quickly covered himself and looked at the two women."Alright, please, no fighting. Let's just talk. I don't want anyone getting hurt because of me, okay?"

Diana reluctantly stepped back, while Nubia continued to smirk smugly at her.

Nubia didn't deny that one of the reasons she had been with the Spider was because Diana had mentioned her admiration for him. Diana had praised his selflessness, kindness, understanding, and all the things that made him better than Superman—except for his jokes.

Nubia still remembered the time when she had a relationship with Artemis, one of Queen Hippolyta's guards, and how she had found Artemis and Diana in Artemis' bed.

Even though she later discovered it was Artemis who seduced Diana, she couldn't help but harbor some lingering resentment despite forgiving her at the time.

Artemis had spent 300 years earning her forgiveness, but even then, she was no more than a friend, not a lover.

Nubia had been trying to get to know the Spider for a while, but he always seemed to vanish whenever she entered the room. When the opportunity finally came, she seized it, and the fact that he was the reincarnation of Anansi was a significant bonus.

Nubia and Peter sat on the bed, while Diana sat on a chair opposite them."So, how did this happen?"

When Peter tried to explain, Nubia interrupted and looked at Diana."We were partners on watch duty last night. One thing led to another, and here we are."

Diana shifted her gaze between the two, then fixed it on Nubia."Be honest with me. Did you do this just to get back at me for what happened 4,000 years ago?"

"Actually, it was 3,200 years ago, not 4,000. But no... well, maybe a little. But mostly no. And I'd prefer to keep this between me and my Spider. Isn't that right, Spider?" Nubia declared, directing the last words toward Peter, her look clearly warning him not to contradict her.

Peter chuckled nervously and nodded."Yeah, yeah, whatever you say."

Honestly, Peter also preferred to keep it private. It wasn't as though he wanted everyone knowing he was the reincarnation of a cosmic being who created a web connecting all dimensions and realities.

If Nubia hadn't used the Lasso of Truth on him, he would've lied about it—even though he was terrible at lying, as his face betrayed him. His mask, however, worked wonders.

Though he needed to recalibrate the mechanical eyes on his mask to better match his reactions.

Diana took a deep breath, exhaling loudly to get their attention, and then looked at Peter."Peter, tell me, do you love her?"

Nubia laughed and glanced at Peter."Peter, is that your name? Cute." Her comment made Peter blink twice, raising an eyebrow.

Diana scowled at Nubia before returning her focus to Peter."She didn't even know your name? How did this even happen? Never mind. Peter, answer me—do you love her?"

Peter looked at Diana, feeling a headache coming on."Listen, Diana. And you too, Nubia. I won't lie. I don't love anyone specifically right now. I've been through too many failed relationships recently, and honestly, I don't want my heart broken again."

Both Amazons fell silent after Peter's words, but he didn't stop."And there's still a woman who occupies my heart. Even though I know we'll never meet again, and even if we did, I know there's no chance for us to be together."

This time, Peter stared at the ceiling, sighing deeply. The two Amazons noticed the longing in his sorrowful eyes.
