Chapter 41: Frost Beings
Observing the Earth from the silent vastness of space, the planet shimmered like a sapphire gem — blue oceans swirling with green continents, clouds painting streaks of white across its surface. Yet, amidst the serenity of the orbiting stars, a sudden flare of yellow light cut across the planet's curvature like a streak of divine lightning.
That light wasn't just lightning — it was Kael-X.
His body glowed faintly golden, wrapped in arcs of compressed electricity as he tore through the atmosphere. Every step he took seemed to shatter the air itself, leaving behind faint rifts that mended almost instantly. From the void of space, his movement was so fast that the continents below blurred into one — Africa to Europe, Asia to the Pacific — all in less than a heartbeat.
In that moment, Kael-X wasn't merely moving; he was transcending.
Below, cities trembled as shockwaves of his speed rippled through the stratosphere, unseen yet felt — a whisper of thunder that followed him wherever he went. Clouds spiraled in his wake, forming glowing rings of yellow static that briefly illuminated the sky. Birds scattered, oceans split slightly under the air pressure he generated, and even satellites glitched momentarily from the surge of electromagnetic interference he left behind.
He wasn't running without purpose — his destination was clear.
Koala Ridge.
A place hidden deep within the border between two mountain ranges, isolated and restricted from the public eye. It was a mysterious region where reality itself was thin, and energy from unknown dimensions leaked into the Earth's crust. To ordinary humans, it was nothing more than an uncharted wilderness. But to cultivators, it was sacred — the entrance to the Land of Generations.
Kael's eyes glowed brighter as he accelerated, his voice a faint murmur swallowed by the wind.
> "Almost there… I can feel the distortion."
In less than a second, he passed over oceans, deserts, and forests — crossing nations faster than thoughts could form. Every few kilometers, he shifted his speed force signature, bending the light around him to remain undetectable to scanners or satellites.
Finally, the horizon ahead shimmered — an invisible wave of distortion rippled through the air, bending light like heat on metal. Kael-X came to a halt, his boots grinding to the ground and splitting the soil like a shock grenade. The earth cracked beneath him, and yellow lightning spread outward like living veins.
The winds howled violently from the sudden stop. He raised his head slowly, his expression calm yet focused.
Before him stood Koala Ridge — mountains floating slightly above their bases, suspended by unseen energy, their peaks glowing faintly with runic light. Thunder and mist danced together, as if the very atmosphere guarded the secret hidden within.
Kael smirked faintly, tightening his gloves. "So this is where the storm begins…"
He could see many people stationed outside this koala ridge. Rich people, gangs, top tier families, government, ancient families, disciples, guardian, everyone was present. Without sparing them more than a glance, he vanished. But as he got closer, a barrier hit him back.
"Hmm." He brought out the Jade slip the mysterious man gave him. Immediately, light shone from the Jade and the barrier as the light connected together. Then he was teleported.
As they landed inside koal ridge, the foul mouthed system spoke again. "That Jade slip is just scam. It's just for people to recognise you and respect you. It's your Qi that needs to be infused."
"Phew."
As he entered koala ridge, the gravity suddenly increased, but he didn't flinch. The gravity on Zypheron is minimally 300 times that of Earth. So on Earth, he is faster than his normal speed. In this koala ridge, the gravity is just 100 times that of outside world, Earth. Walking off, he draped into a coat, covering his head. On his way, different people were seen. Indeed they were all elites. Some are already showing off their family might, some are already forming teams, some are still busing studying others without doing anything. The last group is the group Kael belong to.
Using Augustus, he got the information of over 1000 participants. Although he did not know there name.
Hours later, a shockwave spread. It hit the cultivators(I will be calling them cultivators because of the elements and energy cultivation distinct.). Some blocked the shockwave with their energy, or most did, while some did not even flinch. Kael was lying down, and yawning as the shockwave spread. Suddenly energy started to gather around the source of the shockwave. Suddenly, another very strong shockwave erupted. It even swept some people off their feet. Then a portal opened. This space gate or portal was pulsing like as if it's alive.
"Heh, let's get in."
As he step into the portal, he appeared in a large frosty, snowy and cold landmass. It was very cold. He scanned around but the only living thing here was energy beings in form of animals. He just sauntered off while the others were still observing. As he walked off, someone who had sensed Kael is mysterious, followed him.
Kael appeared where these animals made of frost were and walked past them in a flash. The person following him flew over. Suddenly, he, Kael saw some beings, frost beings hunting the animals. He was very surprised as he remembered something and blotted out.
"Primordial land of chaos?"
As the person following him heard, his ear perked up. "I thought only we from the ancient families knew this is a land of chaos. How did he know? Which family raised him hidden? If that's how it is, then he will be pretty strong. I can't even sense his strength. Very good at concealing aura." He thought.
"Primordial land of chaos. It appears every 100 boundary years, for 100,000 boundary years in each galaxy. I heard it just disappeared from Zypheron 5,000 boundary years ago. So it came to milky way. If that's the case we will meet other races. Haish I have to speed up." Kael thought stroking his chin. He looked at the guy beside him and gave him thumbs up before he disappeared in yellow streak.
"The yellow lightning guy. Damn, the yellow lightning guy is here. I need to tell others."
---
A portal opened, and some creatures stepped out of it. The looked like humans but there were still some distinctive features like claws, green skinned, they are humans, but called space humans. Even the humans from Earth and humans from other planets are called space humans in general.
This guys came out and first studied the frosty environment. Then they set off.
This happened in different places, where different races appeared in this primordial land of chaos.
Kael stopped as he reached the frost beings settlement. "Haish. I made a big mistake there. I should have overlapped." He thought while walking forward. "Wow all this frost beings have at least grade 2 core."
"Hey who are you and why are you here?" A frost being asked in chaos language which attracted the attention of the others. They quickly drew out their weapons to fight.
Surprisingly, Kael replied in the chaos language. "My name is Kael. I have come with no ill intentions."
"How could you speak out language?"
"Because I understand it."
The frost beings paused, their icy forms glinting under the pale light before motioning silently for the cloaked man to follow. Kael complied, his steps echoing softly against the frozen ground as they led him deeper into their domain. The settlement stretched out like a city carved from winter itself — crystalline structures rose like frozen towers, every edge gleaming with reflected light, and the air shimmered faintly with drifting frost particles. Despite the beauty, an eerie stillness hung over the place, as though time itself was trapped in ice. Kael couldn't help but admire it — the architecture, the artistry, the precision — it was breathtaking… but utterly bone-chilling. Eventually, they arrived at the grand palace of the frost beings, a colossal fortress sculpted from layers of translucent ice, towering so high it seemed to pierce the clouds. It was magnificent — regal, haunting, and cold enough to silence even the wind. It was majestically cold in one word.
What confirmed Kael-X suspicion of this world been the primordial chaos world was the strength of the beings. So far only elite realm beings he had seen. Even the guards of the palace was just late elite realm. They entered the palace building. Damn beautiful was the thought of Kael. Now he could see some beings in the palace in master realm. But no one surpassed master realm.
"You are from the outer world right?" A majestic cold voice was heard before they even reached the main hall.
"Yeah." Kael answered.
A frost being beside him jabbed him. "Be respectful to your majesty." The being scolded.
"I am here not for ill intentions but just a little request. You can ask me for something in return inasmuch it's within my power." Kael spoke out.
"Hmm, come in."
Kael and the frost beings came in and a frost being sitting on a frost throne in a big chilling robe and a beautiful frost crown. The palace hall is even more cold. The beings who entered with Kael fell on a kneel to salute the king. "What's your name?"
"Kael."
"What do you need?"
"Frost origin fragment."
"What!" The other beings exclaimed.
"I need it for someone. I believe it's not only one fragment you have and I believe you won't want this to escalate into a fight." Kael replied nonchalantly.
"The fact you could enter this place like this shows your courage. But you outer worlders have missed something." The king replied calmly.
Squinting his eyes in an amusing way, "And what's that?"
"This," the king uttered — and instantly, the entire palace began to shift. The grand hall rippled like shattered glass, its structure dissolving into a new, far colder reality. The air grew razor-sharp, each breath visible as frost-laced mist. The ground beneath their feet cracked, revealing layers of ancient ice glowing faintly with bluish light. Around them, countless frost beings emerged, assembling in disciplined ranks, their forms glimmering with crystalline armor. Frost flakes drifted lazily through the air, but there was nothing peaceful about it — each flake shimmered with power, filling the frozen expanse with an aura of impending battle. The palace had transformed into a war domain — beautiful, deadly, and colder than death itself.
"Kill him." A cold voice resounded.
Kael facepalmed. "Haish. Here we go again."
