"I refuse to believe there will be consequences if I go behind your back," Wu Shuang quietly mumbled, and instantly appeared beside Yi's left, going for his shoulder.

Wu Shuang's legs were long, longer than most girls, and being always athletic, her leg strength was nothing to scoff at. A gust of wind came from behind, and Yi, as if having eyes on his back, sidestepped, grappled, and twisted in one seamless motion, without any hesitation.

With her ankle caught, Wu Shuang was thrown into the air as he twisted. She was shocked for a moment but upon descent, her hand braced against his head. With a forceful push, she launched into the air again, flipped, and landed neatly.

"Among women, your skills aren't bad." Yi clapped, not sure if it was a compliment or sarcasm, and then turned to leave.

Wu Shuang seemed to be determined to challenge him, pursuing Yi relentlessly, causing him to stop and face her earnestly.

"Officer Wu, what's the meaning of this?" Even the most patient person couldn't withstand her persistence, not to mention Yi was not known for his patience.

"You're not allowed to go anywhere today." Wu Shuang stared into his eyes, disregarding the judgment of those around them, standing firm on her stance. "Even though you were personally invited by Director Lin, the police station should still have the air of a police station. Since you've been assigned to work under me, you should follow my rules."

"I said I have things to take care of, not going out to play." Yi crossed his arms, leaning against the wall.

"Doing business? Why don't you tell me what business you have to attend to!"

"People have to eat, and plus, I'm in a good mood today." Xiao Lin didn't wait for her opinion, and drove straight into the city center.
