It had been a few months since the incident with the moons the town had grown quite a bit thanks to the constant stream of gems to work with from the Dwarven king he still felt bad about the assassination attempt plus him and Elise kinda have a uncle/niece relationship so he was also will to help with a couple other things

Thanks to this the town has gotten a lot more busy manly due to Wolfgar keeping his end of the deal and because of this a few new faces have decided to settle here including a few lizard-man one of them was opa who started living with Alistair

" man it's been rough my daughter still hasn't warmed up to opa an now opa's pregnant I didn't think that could happen or we would have been safer I just don't know what I'm going to do" the man looked down dejected

I have been coming to the fields sometime to see how they were doing and check up on Alistair because I'm a great ruler

I appeared in front of a two story building but this one was made of stone and wood instead of gems François popped up a few weeks after I returned wanting to stay ab of course we agreed this was his shop

I was here because he was making armors for me I got permission to have a small force of my out so I wanted to arm them properly with the best stuff I can get an what better then the man who made my Gauntlets an was a hidden assassin

Moving out of the way of a wagon with a bunch of goods on it that was going to the newly half built port I entered the shop

Hearing the gentle chime on his door François came out from the back a few minutes later

" ah my friend it's wonderful to see you I assume you're here to check on my progress " I heard his usual French accent

" same to you and yeah if you don't mind " François waved his hand for me to follow him to the back " not at all mon ami"

when we got to his little workshop there was a half completed suit of armor it looked like your classic knight armor visor an all though this one was more sleek and angular to not block movement

" I used a mana metal based alloy like you wanted the results were better then I thought- " he started going into details about the armor an the things that he was able to achieve with it

" it's perfect François thank you for doing this I know it's a lot " he shook his head " not at all if it for her and you to keep this place safe I don't mind "

" still thank you " we talked about the other armors I wanted him to make before it was time for me to leave again I have one more stop for the day

With that I teleported to my last stop of the day it was a barren wasteland with nothing in sight well...except the goblin maids I brought here and a few more trusted people

I was on the moon specifically the crater left behind by my attack I had made it habitable with the help of Edward and a few other things their was a transparent bubble surrounding the crater like a mini atmosphere allowing people to breathe freely

Liam and I created it so we could have a safe place to make our creations or do experiments we call it BASE X

As I was walking to a tall building with multiple floors that was one of only three buildings currently built Elise didn't ask to many questions when most the maids and a couple builders disappeared suddenly she knew I had a hand in it but she did give me weird looks for a couple days though

" my king can I talk to you for a second " birna followed by a maid approached me I turned towards them giving them my attention bringing out a tablet like thing she but her mana in it causing a hologram like image to appear

Liam was quick to reverse engineer the rune on the bounty paper and make a better one I swear that man is a savant the image she was showing me was that of a shield that had a couple runes on it with lines spread to and from them " we have been having trouble with getting the energies to sync up properly I was wondering if you could help at some point also"

She swiped at the image making it shift to a earpiece device " the communicator you wanted use to work on is nearly done just a couple days now it will allow two or more people to speak to each other over a vast distance just like you wanted"

I smiled happy to hear the last part " great job guys and yeah I can come by an help in a couple days right now I'm here to help Liam "

" ok thank you and Liam is at the weapon working on it I just left there to go to the labs " I nodded " great thanks for telling me " patting her shoulder I made my way to that location

After walking for a little bit longer enjoying the view of the cosmos I finally came to a stop at a building that looked like a observatory but it was pointed at the planet we came from ' why do I feel a stronger pull then I used to I wonder' I thought still looking at the stars glimmer beautiful in the dark void

On the wall of the observatory there was a keypad Luke things with runes instead of numbers putting my mana in a sequence of four on different runes of the runepad a second later the wall split revealing a opening for me to enter through

Inside Liam was hunched over on the floor working on a big metal ring " hey Liam how's it going..." he didn't react to me entering or my voice so I lightly tapped him on the shoulder this finally got his attention

" huh...oh great your here I need you to put your blood on this I think I finally figured out how to get the elements to work to gather just give me a few seconds to finish " I nodded an walked around to a pile of notes and diagrams some out lining a giant futuristic cannon with three giant rings below the barrel others showed elements connected by lines most of them were scratched out but a few weren't

" Alright done just put in place " Liam backed away from the ring walking back to I drew my sword just a little bit cutting my palm on it

Starting from the rune he just finished I dripped my blood across the whole ring there were five runes in total spread across it which lit up once my blood touched it

Once that was done I placed my hand on it making it weigh nothing " careful when slotting it in " I nodded as I guided the ring to the correct position carefully putting it in place

Liam was over at a table his Hans waving and twisting in the air at a hologram of the cannon basically running checks to make sure everything is properly set up

" everything should be a go " I stepped back a safe distance as he tapped one last thing on the hologram soon the cannon came to life with runes glowing all over it's metal body connected by lines some thick others small the barrel spun a couple time opening an closing before stopping

Then the three rings separated giving off sparks of lightning also starting to spin but in opposite direction of each other

as this was happening power from all kinds of elements coalesce in the middle of the rings forming a little ball of energy that progressively got bigger changing shapes before returning to the ball

" I don't like the look of this " I yelled to Liam over the whining sound of the cannon trying to calibrate " it's fine it will stabilize " I trusted him but I still felt uneasy this was uncharted territory for both of us I come up with the ideas and he makes them real

The ball was continuing to grow bigger every second eventually it was almost as big as the rings not liking that I went to teleport us away but before I could a burst of energy swept across the room blinding us for a moment

When our vision returned the ball had turned tiny and multi colored slowly spinning in the rings it was beautiful...and dangerous because just looking at it seemed to warp your perception of reality thankfully it was just a little bit...I think
