NOVEL NEXT Chapter 16: tournament
..2 weeks later.. I am in combat class ever since that day people have been kinda avoiding me especially since I obviously have more experience then the rest so nobody will really fight me so I have to fight the instructor I just swung my staff at him but he slipped under it to punch me in the gut I quickly spin the staff around me and blocked it with the middle of the staff the force pushed me back a couple of feet leaving trails
" Alright that's enough for to day everyone gather around " the instructor yelled everyone stopped there then gathered around him " in a couple weeks there will be a small tournament held to see how all of you have progressed and I'd your lucky you may get someone interested in you make sure to train hard these last couple weeks dismissed all of you" it was almost dinner time when we were done
I was on the way back to my room " how was you day my love " Elise was outside the building that has our room I kissed her " it went well how about you " I said after our kiss she looks at me with her gorgeous smile " it went very almost all of our businesses have seen a increase in profits since Amelia and I have gotten involved directly we are making a ton of gold thanks for asking " i smiled back to her "that's wonderful I happy for you guys " I say she takes my hand " come let's go get dinner " we are going to a restaurant Elise likes for dinner since she doesn't really like what they serve in the mess hall plus it's nice to be able to go out just the two of us
When we got there a server took us to a free table and some came to get our orders
" don't forget you have to go get your staff tomorrow Liam should be done with it " Elise said to me yesterday we got a message from Liam saying that my staff would be ready tomorrow I nodded to Elise " I won't I have been looking forward to this thank you Elise I wouldn't have anything like this with out you" I say lovingly to Elise she leaned across the table to kiss me " I'm just happy you are enjoying yourself " then a waiter came over with our food and we ate
After dinner we came back to our room and went to bed Elise and I were to tired from the day to really do anything spicy so we just cuddled up and went to sleep the next morning Elise woke me up before she left
" don't forget about Liam I'll leave a carriage outside to take you there ok" Elise said as she was putting on a little make up before she leaves I nodded tired from just getting up " your to good for me my love " i say to her with a smile on my face with my heart warmed by her care
Elise smiled beautifuly when she was done then came over to me " your right I am but I still love you all the same my love you have hold my heart so your good enough for me now I got go or I'll be late and Amelia will be mad at me again " she says then kissed me deeply then left
I signed watching the love of my life leave in a hurry then took a shower and got dressed outside the academy like Elise a carriage was there to take me to Liam's store
When I get there I had a wired feeling like someone was watching me I shrugged it off and entered " welcome to Liam's spectacular emporium I am Liam how can I help you " Liam said as he came out the back after hearing the bell smiled seeing it was me" ahh ghost great to see you le-" he did finish his sentence as three men came out of the shadows near the door " kill the little inventor too can't have a witness " the man in the middle said the ones beside him nodded
I slowly get behind the counter to Liam who seems to be stunned I " Liam I need you to snap out of it buddy can you need to get my weapons or we won't make it out of here " I whispered putting my hand on his shoulder he seemed to come out of it a little he nodded a little then turned back to go to his workshop quickly running into it seeing this one of the guys turned to darkness disappearing "shit" I cursed
Shadow go after him and protect Liam I thought to him and a shadow of wolf ran from my own into the workshop the other hooded figures didn't notice this
one brought out a dagger the other a sword then charged at me one threw little needles at me I quickly enhanced my body to get out the way and hoped over the counter again so I have more room
The guy with the dagger was all ready on me with a thrust to my heart I quickly brought my arm up to push it out the way then slapped him grabbing his arm i twisted and brought him over my shoulder slamming him on to the counter with a satisfying Crack but I can't be happy with what I did because the other one with the sword was swinging for my head
I quickly fell on the floor to my back using magnesium to make myself float above the floor a little I stomped on the front of the counter sending me toward the entrance I then twisted my body getting back up when I was a safe distance a magic circle appeared on my hand and a bolt of lightning materialized i threw it at the one with the sword but a wall of sand stopped my bolt turning into a bit of glass the one that had the dagger had one of his hands up the other was one his side
He hissed in pain " I thought this was going to be a easy job " the one holding his side said " the elven princess wouldn't have chosen him if he was weak now shut up let's get this over with" he said and comes at me swinging his sword I brought my hand up lightning crawling on it and did something I have been working on
Space folded into itself and I disappeared Space distorted behind the man with the dagger behind the counter ready nullify my lighting but he didn't expect this I reappeared behind him grabbing his arm holding the dagger and slamming my knee into it breaking his arm
I then grabbed the back of his head as he let out a little scream then smashing his face into the counter I quickly grabbed the dagger he dropped after I broke his arm then stabbed it into his neck pinning him to the counter the man with sword was stunned then pissed " you tricky bastard " he said I materialized a bolt again and therw it at him as I jumped over the counter again but he brought out a coin with Strange writing which I have come to learn is there language then tossed it on the ground and my bolt was forced to strike it I clicked my tongue
The guy with the sword was on me swinging his sword best he can cutting me a few times I finally got a opportunity after ducking one of his swings I flicked my wrist causing my hidden blade to come out and I peirce his heart but that didn't stop him He brought down his sword again stabing into my left shoulder seeing this the man was disappointed then died a few seconds later
I hissed in pain keeping the sword there from what I heard if you pull it out you can bleed out I took some deep breaths " ghost I got it " I heard behind me and Liam came out of his workshop then turned pale seeing the corpse pinned to the counter then the one at my feet he couldn't take it anymore when shadow came out of his workshop with one of the hooded figures head in his mouth dragging his body Liam started puking he almost made me want to throw up too
"It seems you took care them " I nodded
" yeah lm surprised I was able to do it too luckily there are only thre-" I cut myself off thinking of something my eyes widened I quickly ran over to Liam who was holding my staff I quickly grabbed it with the bloody hand I was holding my wound with not noticing the glow it gave off for a sec I was trying to focus on the image of Elise eventually Space folded in on itself and I disappeared again...
In the same city Elise just closed a deal with a noble family with Amelia " that went better then we thought this should be a great help to the businesses " Amelia said while Elise nodded when they were about to get in the royal carriage space distorted near the entrance and the young man she fell in love with appeared looking at him she frowned deeply see the state he was in...
I appeared looking around in a hurry making sure there are no threats then I go to Elise
" are you alright my love " I asked her She nods " I'm alright dear nothing has happened what about you though how-" she didn't finish what she was saying I started to feel weak and fell on the floor as everything going black
