Soul Land:The Dragon King's God of Nature

Chapter 103: Chapter 103: Grandpa, Save Me!

The lone Soul Ancestor was dead.

The young evil soul master had bitten through his throat, scattering blood across the ground. His lifeless eyes still held an expression of confusion and terror.

He died not understanding how things had gone so wrong.

The Soul Ancestor didn't realize it, but the Zero Class students and the two nearby Soul Elders saw it all clearly. The young evil soul master he attacked was merely a shadow clone; the real one had long since positioned himself behind the Soul Ancestor, exploiting a moment of weakness to deal a fatal blow.

It all happened in the blink of an eye, leaving Jing Shaoyu and the others helpless as they watched the Soul Ancestor meet his grim fate right before their eyes.

The young evil soul master's spirit was indeed the Blood Shadow Bat, and given the similarity to the Soul Douluo Zhang Zibo, it was likely they were related.

"Very well, you've successfully angered this young master. No more games!" The young evil soul master wiped the blood from his mouth, his face showing annoyance. "Remember, the one who sent you to the afterlife is named Zhang Bainin! Don't die confused."

"Zhang Bainin…" Jing Shaoyu's mouth twitched slightly. That name carries a lot of karma. Are you sure you, a lowly evil soul master, can handle it?

But there was no time for sarcasm. As Zhang Bainin spoke, Jing Shaoyu had already clasped Gu Yue's hand. The moment Zhang Bainin finished his declaration, Jing Shaoyu shouted, "Do it!"

In an instant, Jing Shaoyu and Gu Yue disappeared, replaced by a radiant dragon with shimmering scales. The moment it emerged, a multi-colored dragon claw struck at Zhang Bainin. His expression shifted, eyes blazing with anger as he quickly retreated.

He hadn't expected these young brats to possess a martial soul fusion skill. How careless of him.

But his retreat was not smooth. Unbeknownst to him, Xu Xiaoyan's Starwheel Chain had locked onto him, freezing him in place for a crucial second.

"Damn it! Why can't I move?" Zhang Bainin exclaimed in panic.

At that moment, a radiant beam composed of seven colors charged toward him. This rainbow beam was brilliant, exuding the powers of intense flames, biting ice, roaring winds, shifting earth, silent darkness, holy light, and boundless space—seven elements harmoniously combined. Its raw power was overwhelming.

This was the Rainbow Beam at full strength, unleashed without restraint, aiming to end him in a single strike.

"Grandpa, save me!" As Zhang Bainin stared at the incoming beam, he saw the Reaper reaching for him. Terror filled his face. Though the Starwheel Chain's effect had worn off, fear rendered his limbs frozen. Desperate, he shouted for help.

The Rainbow Beam swallowed Zhang Bainin, his frantic cries fading. Seeing this, Tang Wulin, Xie Xie, and Xu Xiaoyan allowed themselves brief smiles.

But as the light gradually dissipated, their smiles faded.

Standing before Zhang Bainin was an old man. He was of medium build, with ordinary features that gave him the appearance of a harmless, powerless elder. Yet, he wore a robe identical to Zhang Bainin's, confirming he was indeed the grandfather Zhang Bainin had called out to.

The old man's raised hand bore the residual aura of seven elements—evidence that he had blocked the Rainbow Beam.

He'd stopped their strongest attack with just one hand. This man was at least a Soul Saint!

The Radiant Dragon's eyes filled with wariness.

"Grandpa, I almost didn't make it!" Zhang Bainin, upon seeing the old man, stumbled forward with a look of manic relief and clung to his grandfather.

"Hmph! Useless fool!" The old man scowled, his tone sharp with disdain. "You can't even handle a group of kids. How did I, Zhang Kuangmo, end up with such a worthless grandson?"

"Grandpa, it's not my fault," Zhang Bainin said defensively. "How was I supposed to know these brats could use a martial soul fusion skill?"

"Enough. Since it's come to this, the mission ends here." Zhang Kuangmo waved dismissively, clearly displeased.

On the other side, the Radiant Dragon observed the seemingly nonchalant pair. Unsure of the elder's power, it held back from making any rash moves. To avoid unnecessary risks, Jing Shaoyu and Gu Yue chose to end their fusion skill, landing back on the ground beside Xu Xiaoyan and the others as they watched Zhang Kuangmo warily. Jing Shaoyu kept his hand on his Phoenix Ring, ready to summon the Phoenix Flame at any moment.

Throughout the battlefield, the evil soul masters held the upper hand. Within a few short minutes, nearly all surviving soul masters had fallen, save for a few Soul Emperors and Soul Kings.

Wu Zhangkong's duel with Zhang Zibo remained a stalemate. Despite only being a Soul Saint, Wu Zhangkong had a two-word battle armor, while Zhang Zibo, though a Soul Douluo, wore only a single-word battle armor. Their power was on par, with Wu Zhangkong occasionally gaining the upper hand.

After all, Wu Zhangkong, as a Shrek Academy graduate, had a solid foundation and resilience unmatched by evil soul masters like Zhang Zibo.

"Hmph!" Zhang Kuangmo surveyed the battlefield before his eyes settled on Wu Zhangkong. His gaze was dark and vicious, full of hostility. With a cold snort, an overpowering pressure radiated from his body, spreading rapidly.

The first to feel the force were Jing Shaoyu and the others, closest to Zhang Kuangmo. Within moments, ordinary bystanders were forced to the ground, unable to withstand the pressure. The two Soul Elders with them held out for a moment longer before also collapsing.

Jing Shaoyu and his teammates felt as though they were small boats in a stormy sea, helplessly buffeted by the force. Struggling against the weight bearing down on them, they activated their martial souls, using all their strength to resist the pressure. Since Zhang Kuangmo's primary target wasn't them, they managed to withstand it for now.

The pressure soon spread across the entire battlefield, affecting everyone but Wu Zhangkong, who was in the air fighting. For everyone else, this brief paralysis was deadly; a Soul King was killed in an instant.

"Kekeke~" Zhang Kuangmo seemed satisfied, letting out a sinister laugh as his gaze swept over the battlefield, eventually settling on Jing Shaoyu and his friends. His face showed a hint of displeasure. "I despise rude little brats!"

With that, the pressure on Jing Shaoyu and his group intensified, as if a mountain had fallen on them.

"Ugh…" Xie Xie was the first to buckle, staggering and collapsing to the ground. His face turned pale, eyes vacant with helplessness.

Next was Xu Xiaoyan. A trickle of blood dripped from her mouth, filling Jing Shaoyu with anger and pain. He gritted his teeth, bracing against the pressure, and pulled Xu Xiaoyan behind him, his gaze locked defiantly on Zhang Kuangmo.

Zhang Kuangmo was surprised by Jing Shaoyu's defiance, his face twisting in fury. "You've got nerve, boy! Let's see if your bones are as hard as your spirit!"

With that, Zhang Kuangmo unleashed his full power. Nine spirit rings—three purple, four black, and two red—appeared behind him. He was a Titled Douluo!

The Titled Douluo's full pressure focused solely on Jing Shaoyu. His expression shifted as he channeled his soul power into his Phoenix Ring without hesitation.

Suddenly, an intense heat radiated from Jing Shaoyu, drawing Gu Yue's attention as she looked up in surprise. Zhang Kuangmo sensed it too, immediately retracting his aura and summoning his martial spirit, his face showing a rare flicker of fear as he looked around cautiously.

Zhang Kuangmo's martial spirit was also the Blood Shadow Bat.

But Jing Shaoyu had no time to concern himself with that. He'd activated the Phoenix Flame within the Phoenix Ring, and from his hand came a brilliant phoenix cry.

"Screech—"

"Huh?" Jing Shaoyu paused, puzzled by a second phoenix cry. "Why were there two cries?"

But there was no time to think. At that moment, a flaming, lifelike golden-red phoenix shot from the Phoenix Ring. Initially miniature, it soared upward in a flash, reaching a height of hundreds of feet, its wingspan growing to ten meters, exuding an aura of majesty and dominance.

Simultaneously, an identical golden-red phoenix appeared out of thin air, even larger and more vibrant. Locking on

to Zhang Kuangmo, it charged toward him, its fiery gaze fixed on him as he watched in horror.
