Lin Ming stood tall, his legs slightly apart, body tense in a familiar, strong stance—his version of the iconic Rock Lee Taijutsu stance. He could feel the weight of Xiao Wu's approaching steps as she dashed toward him with incredible speed.

Xiao Wu's eyes narrowed as she closed the distance.She leaped forward with a spinning kick aimed for Lin Ming's head. With practiced precision, Lin Ming sidestepped, his body moving like water, effortlessly avoiding her attack.

In the same motion, his right leg shifted, and his martial soul manifested.The chains wrapped around his right leg like a piece of armour to make his kicks more powerfull.

Without missing a beat, Lin Ming launched a swift counterattack, his right leg aiming for Xiao Wu's side. The speed and precision behind the strike were unlike anything she had expected. Xiao Wu, relying on her quick reflexes, ducked just in time, narrowly avoiding the hit. She immediately attempted to sweep his leg , going for a low strike to knock him off balance.

But Lin Ming was ready. As her leg swept toward him, he jumped, his body twisting in the air. Without hesitation, he performed a signature move—Leaf Whirlwind Kick—a spinning aerial kick. The speed of the move left Xiao Wu with little time to react. She tried to block the incoming kick, but it was too much for her to handle. The first kick with his right leg wrapped with chains connected, sending a shockwave through her body, knocking her off her feet.

Staggering, Xiao Wu just as she was regaining her balance , Lin Ming's second kick with precision and speed she couldn't see. Her heart raced, and she instinctively closed her eyes, bracing herself for the impact. The second kick, however, never came. Instead, she felt a sudden, unexpected stillness. She slowly opened her eyes, her face just inches away from Lin Ming's foot, which had stopped in mid-air—right before her face.

Lin Ming's expression was smug as he lowered his foot, a confident grin spreading across his face. "I win," he said, his voice light but brimming with pride.

Xiao Wu's frustration bubbled to the surface, and she glared at him. "You only won because I couldn't release my secret move!" she snapped, unable to hide the irritation in her voice.

Lin Ming smirked, clearly enjoying the moment. "That's what all losers say," he retorted, the words coming out casually but with a hint of amusement. Seeing her flustered reaction gave him an unexpected sense of satisfaction, though he didn't fully understand why.

The group of onlookers stood in stunned silence. Everyone had been watching the fight with wide eyes. The others were speechless, in awe of Lin Ming's taijutsu abilities. But Tang San, always the observer, couldn't help but think to himself'Remarkable. To develop such a move at his age this Lin Ming, is he the definition of a true martial arts genius?'

Just as the tension in the air seemed to dissipate, a teacher from the academy appeared before Dorm 7. He looked around, calling out, "Is anyone named Tang San here?"

Tang San stepped forward, raising his hand in response. The teacher handed him a bedsheet, saying, "This is from the master"

Xiao Wu, watching from the sidelines, glanced down at the bedsheet in Tang San's hands. Her face flushed slightly as she realized the situation. Every student was expected to have one, but she didn't even know what a bedsheet was till now and she also doesn't have any money to buy one.Unlike in the original story where she fought tang san and was a bit familiar with him now because of Lin Mings intervention she wasn't really familiar with him and couldn't ask him to share the bed with her.

Lin Ming, noticing her dilemma, stepped forward with a casual shrug. "I can help you out this time," he said, his voice unexpectedly gentle. "I'll give you the money to buy a bedsheet. You can pay me back when you get your allowance".Ever since he was four he started working on the field to get enough money for when he goes to the academy currently he has enough money to buy lunch for two years.So helping xiao wu buy a bedsheet won't cause his funds to go low or anything.

Xiao Wu blinked in surprise, unsure how to respond. She wasn't familiar with this "money" concept and hadn't planned on asking anyone for help. "Thank you… but I don't really understand how money works here," she admitted, her voice soft with gratitude.

Everyone looked at her a bit weirdly after hearing that but Lin Ming, not wanting to waste anymore time on this.He turned to one of the boys in Dorm 7. "Hey, can you go buy two bedsheets?" he asked. The boy, eager and willing to help, nodded quickly.

"Of course, boss Lin! I'll get them right away!" he exclaimed, visibly excited.

As the boy ran off to make the purchase, Xiao Wu stood there, blinking in disbelief at Lin Ming. Her gratitude was evident, but she still couldn't fully grasp the nature of the transaction. Lin Ming, on the other hand, just took it as small thing as he was the reason she couldn't get a bedsheet from tang san anyway it was only right for him to help her buy one.

With that, the boy returned with two bedsheets, and Lin Ming handed one to Xiao Wu. "Here you go. You can pay me back when you get your allowance," he repeated, his voice more casual now, as if it were no big deal.

Xiao Wu took the bedsheet, her heart full of thankfulness. "Thank you, Lin Ming," she said quietly. 

Just then, wang Sheng excitedly said"boss lin let's go eat in the cafeteria it's already time for dinner.Since our dorm 7 has become stronger with you today will be my treat"

Xiao wu got excited and said"then let's go i am also really hungry"

Lin Ming also nodded and said to everyone in the dorm that lets go eat together

As they reached the cafeteria a mocking sound came from the second floor

"Look who is here the poor commoners who can't even afford second floor food" said a black haired boy with an arrogant expression like he owns the world

Wang Sheng was full of black lines but he didn't retort because he knew it was true that they couldn't afford the food in the second floor.

Eventhough wang Sheng could keep his cool

xiao wu hot headed as she is retorted back

"Do you have a problem with that"snapped angrily 

The boy continued to mock"hey rabbit girl if you come to the second floor now I might consider taking you as a pet"he started laughing widely his lackeys also laughing with him

Xiao wu anger reached her limit and was going to go and beat him up but was pulled back by lin Ming and he told her"if you go to the second floor now and attack them the teachers will intervene and then you will be in big trouble it's better to wait until we are outside before we cause trouble"

Xiao wu hearing this reluctantly controlled her anger.

Seeing this the black haired boy arrogantly said to lin Ming"you look like a person who knows his place.Here this is a reward from me"he threw a piece of chicken leg bone at Lin mings face and started laughing with his lackeys.lin mings eyes shone with a cold light and when he saw the chicken leg bone flying to him with correct precision he kicked the bone back to the black haired arrogant boy straight into his mouth as he was laughing.He started coughing and started to lose conciousness.The lackeys started panicking and quickly took him to the infirmary.The work study students seeing this started laughing really hard .xiao wu the most satisfied out of all of them said"Good work lin Ming that guy will never dare to open his mouth infront of us again"

Lin Ming chuckled and said"let's just go and eat"

As they all started sitting down yu xiaogong or 'grandmaster' came inside the cafeteria and when he saw tang san he came infront of tang san and asked"tang san do you want to come and eat with me in the second floor"

Tang san looking at the harmonious table shook his head and said"no teacher I think I will eat with my dormmates"

Yu xiaogong nodded and didn't insist and went to the second floor to eat .

Wang Sheng asked tang san"tang san did you take master as your teacher"

Tang san nodded 

Wang Sheng wanting to advice his friend told tang san"tang san the master might be good at theories but he is a waste who only reached level 29 spirit grandmaster at this age are you sure you want him as your teacher"

Tang san expression became really cold and he said to wang Sheng"wang Sheng don't slander my teacher "tang san then stood up and went after the master in the second floor 

Wang Sheng became bewildered.lin Ming seeing this reassured wang Sheng and just told him to eat.

After lunch they all went to their respective beds.lin Ming after two months of hardwork is already level 10 because his natural talent is level 10 and he was only level 8 because of senior hogoromos concious awakening he quickly reached to level 10 in just 2 months.After training the mysterious treasure record for 3 hours he quickly went inside his mindscape there he saw senior hogoromo examining his chain markings from his first martial soul.

"Senior hogoromo how was my battles today"lin Ming said excitedly 

Hogoromo looked at him and said"It was good your taijutsu has become good enough to call you a beginner"

Lin Ming became a bit disappointed learning that he was only as good as a beginner.

Lin Ming quickly cheered up and said"senior hogoromo the control of my energy is already really good I can walk on trees so can you teach me some jutsus"

Hogoromo thought for a whole and said"alright I will teach you the three basic ninjutsu they teach in the ninjutsu academy in my world"

Lin Ming became excited and asked"So when will we start"

Hogoromo smiled seeing lin mings excitement"we can start tomorrow I have something to discuss with you first".

Hogoromo made a serious expression and said"that girl named xiao wu she is not human her aura feels more like a beast"

Lin Ming nodded and understood and he explained to hogoromo how she is a hundred thousand year old soul beast.

Hogoromo nodded in disbelief"This world is truly mystical beasts can turn into humans.humans can become gods"

Lin Ming nodded and thought and said"senior hogoromo can you teach me some metal type jutsu also as a trump card"

Hogoromo scrutinized and said"boy don't try to take more then you can swallow.you already have it full training your body and also learning three jutsu on top of that you want to learn more "

Lin Ming pleaded"please senior hogoromo I really want some kind of ninjutsu that I can use as a trump card"

Hogoromo contemplated for a bit and said"this is a technique I developed from watching a kekkei genkai called steel release"

Lin Mingsaid excitedly"senior hogoromo please teach me"

Hogoromo said"this technique I developed because I always thought that the shinobi body is inherently very weak and can die really easily but in this world the body is not that weak but it can still give you many benefits as this technique helps to enhance your bone durability and also can tempor your skin into making it as durable as steel"

Lin mings breath became really heavy and he becomes really excited

Hogoromo looking at his excitement decided to splash some cold water"don't get too excited this technique requires a long time of practice to turn your whole body to steel and the principles involves nature transformation for you to master this technique will take atleast two years and this is because I highly regarded your talent for metal transformation your metal attribute is really strong "

Lin Ming becomes a bit disappointed but still is not shaken too much he will definitely learn this technique it can turn his whole body into steel even his bones will increase in durability this is a god send technique

Lin Ming thanks hogoromo and then goes out of his mental realm and goes to sleep as today was a really hectic day
